Advantages:
Little has changed in 14 years. Works (pah-pah).
Disadvantages:
There is no guarantee in Russia. On the official website, Russia is not listed among the markets where American Water Heater supplies its products. Accordingly, there are no official dealers who provide warranty repairs in Russia. Therefore, the 6-year warranty is largely virtual. The specimen that was brought to me was produced over a year ago. But the instruction is in Russian.
Comment:
I bought it because the same boiler failed, which I have not serviced for 14 years (for stupidity). For 14 years the following changes have occurred: 1) The control unit has been replaced. Now you can light it up without matches (but plugging into an outlet is still not required). Honeywell block must be of high quality. The signal light is working properly (no batteries - lo and behold!) 2) Plastic cuffs are installed at the inlet of the pipes, designed to prevent the thermal insulation from getting wet in case of leakage in this place. And also to make the leakage itself noticeable. 3) The drain valve at the bottom is replaced with a plastic one. 4) The country of origin has changed from the USA to Mexico. 5) The brand changed from American Water Heater to Mor-Flo, which is owned by American Water Heater. In the US, the brand is still used by the American Water Heater.

Disadvantages:
the connection threads for the supply and output are sunk into the body, so 3/4 squeegees will be required (they are not included in the kit) any normal Russian 3/4 threads are very tightly screwed in, the thread itself, in addition to being recessed into the body, is a rather short gas connection, it is also very tight. it looks like they make a slightly different thread size especially for us - tighter. but you can screw it in. in the instructions it is advised to put American women at the entrance and exit of the water, so that if anything, it would be easier to remove and install the boiler. many indicators in foreign units (gallons, inches ..)

until recently used Ariston 200l. and recently it just rotted and flowed. our wine, according to the Russian tradition, after installation, the instructions were immediately lost, but they did not know about replacing the anode rod. in addition, all electrical equipment in contact with the water supply system (pump, washing, dishwasher ...) was plugged into sockets without grounding. from washing. machines were fed 41 volts into the water supply. this stress in the water system causes accelerated corrosion of steel elements, and our Ariston has rotted.don't forget about the anode in your boilers! Bought for 22,000, self-pickup. I had to suffer with the choice of squeegees (American women with a long thread dad 3/4 does not exist). and in order to screw them in. but as the system is assembled and launched, you can forget about it and enjoy warm water.
