It so happened that the purchase of a new smartphone coincided with the purchase of a radio microphone for video recording. 02/22/2018 CSN Technopoint Ussuriysk. Bought - 5.5 "Smartphone ASUS Zenfone 3 LASER ZC551KL 32 GB ... as if not made with a finger.
It was immediately bought with it - Microphone Boya BY-WM4 (you need the option of connecting to a smartphone).
Already at home, it turned out that the microphone did not want to work with the smartphone in any way, and all the options with adapters were tried. Connected headphones to the receiver's jack gave a clear sound. For a test on another smartphone, a neighbor borrowed a DEXP smartphone ... which also did not give a sound recording. When testing a microphone with a laptop - an excellent result - the recording is in progress.
02/23/2018 I went to the store for an adapter - DEXP 3.5 mm jack 4pin - 3.5 mm jack x2 adapter which should fix the problem. But the miracle did not happen, the adapter works great with a laptop, but the recording on the smartphone did not work.
Conclusion: the Boya BY-WM4 microphone does not work with smartphones!
