Maybe not worse, but they were installed once - the interface is unusual there, but I didn't want to get used to it.

This printer is intended for a small office, it is convenient for me to print reports with small color inserts on it. Also among the advantages is reliability - I was stupid only one and a half times in two years (solved by restarting), chewed paper three times. Well, the company - the last one stood and worked for 6 years (Canon iX4000) - then the color printing in it broke down - but it still prints b / w.

Since CISS in print quality are inferior to modern PZK (and on such a printer it is a pity to lose at least a share, I want to get 100%), it is difficult to put the CISS so that there are no bubbles in the loop, as a result, the printer spits. In addition, Canon itself has a lot of weak points regarding the CISS. Comrade this pensive, slowly prints, but this is still not a printer for office affairs, rather for printing posters and drawings. In addition, quite massive when printing A3 +, but it is easy to solve this problem thanks to wifi. I put it in the closet and leave it to type for an hour or two. There is nothing to complain about. Great device. But still, there is one serious drawback besides the "other size" A3 +. On such devices you want to print with "native" ink, and with such a printer you will simply go broke. It's a pity Canon did not act like Epson and does not attach factory CISS. I think then it would be much easier with Canon.

Comment: At such a cost, this printer is a consumable, so taking it out of the box, I immediately sawed the case with a grinder, put in the CISS, filled in OCP ink, made a profile, and this consumable has been making photos for six months without stopping! The run is already over 50,000 prints and not a single missing nozzle or mechanical problems. During this time, he paid for himself more than 30 times! So, people are not happy with this printer, you are wrong)))

Advantages: Excellent prints, it works for me for 3 years, practically does not turn off, the cartridges were refilled for 2 years with native ink with Intek, now they also bought relatives of increased capacity, let's see how long they last)

Disadvantages: It is capricious to service, often and a lot of flushing is necessary. Before starting printing in the morning, be sure to do a deep cleaning of the cartridges, otherwise the color can be very surprising)

Comment: Excellent working office equipment!

Advantages: Have been using this printer for over four years. I print on all types of photographic paper with a density of 200 g / sq. and up to 400g / m. sq. on cotton canvas. Excellent output quality even with a shut-off valve,

Disadvantages: I do not see any deficiencies, with proper exploitation. printed more than 15 thousand pictures, adding to the PZK system and changing the chips on the ink tanks a couple of times, but this is a penny cost with such a print run.

Comment: Why is it not indicated in the characteristic that the printer supports A-3 + format and canvas printing? Here are a few of my works printed on Pixma IX 6840.

Advantages: A3 at an affordable price. Decent print quality. It's still not a photo printer, although it prints photos more or less decently, of course after a little Magenta tweak. Available compatible consumables.

Disadvantages: The mac os driver does not allow manual color adjustments. All poppy breeders - don't buy!

Comment: Immediately after purchasing and installing the original cartridges (those that came in the kit) I tried to print photos. I was disappointed because the photos were frankly green. This means that the printer uses very little Magenta. It was necessary to add it in the printer driver (I have about +30! To get natural skin tones). In Windows it is not a problem to do this, but for Mac OS I as soon as I did not try, nothing happened. Probably just order a profile and install it, there is no other way. Therefore, I do not recommend it to poppy breeders. After setup, everything worked. It prints quite quickly, but sometimes it takes 2 - 3 minutes to prepare for printing for a long time. In general, it is a solid four, but for windows and for that kind of money IMHO 5+.

Comment: A smart device, printing faster than l800. Even with standard print settings, the print quality remains excellent. Unlike Epson, it doesn't strip. Well balanced. The weight is about 9 kg and when the carriage moves, it does not even twitch.

Advantages: Great model. I was glad that after printing all pallets are conveniently closed and the printer again looks like a pretty box (thus the printer is protected from dust). Connection via wi-fi, at home 3 computers and the same number of smartphones. We print from all devices, it's very convenient. The printer is suitable for both photo printing and graphics. Pigment ink (black only, but that's enough) prints drawings and text that are water-resistant and light-resistant, but there is a risk of the print head drying out.

Disadvantages: So far, no complaints.

Comment: An excellent printer, I took it because of the binding to the A3 format, before that there was an HP Officejet 7000, but it died, Canon did not disappoint)
