I chose the stand precisely for the sake of the stand (to raise the laptop above the table level), and I often type, so my wrists get tired, but here they lie at an angle - and everything is fine.
Regarding the dimensions of the laptop and the stated inches - pay attention only to the dimensions of the laptop and the stand itself, it will be better. Although I have a 15.6 "screen, the laptop occupies the entire surface, which is also pleasing. The laptop does not slip, does not roll, and holds up confidently.
I am satisfied with the purchase. If something happens, the fans are not difficult to replace

The stand itself is stable, and the laptop is like a glove on it. Often, the laptop is loaded with video processing, as earlier the temperature went off scale, especially in summer, and now it is almost twice as low. So for me personally, the benefits of it are obvious, and it was not so expensive in its time. It has been working for several months, but no breakdowns, everything is fine.
