I decided to write a review about the Filtron fuel filter, namely the model with the designation PP 836/1.

I am the owner of a rather old school by modern standards, Octavia Tour School, 2008, in the back of 1U2. The car, although not new, is extremely reliable, and is everyone's favorite in the family. But now not about her. According to the factory settings, the oil and filters should be changed every 15,000 km. With regard to fuel filters, Skoda has determined a replacement interval of 30,000 km. As a reinsurer, I must say right away that I change engine oil and all filters, including fuel, every 10,000 km.

Why Filtron?
Everything is simple here. Initially I tried to get a filter from Mann, like germanium. But then I began to notice that there was no smell of Germany, at best, Turkey or even worse. I decided to try analogs, the seller in the store advised me to try Filtron. The Polish company specializes in the production of filters and other related products for cars. I tried the Filtron filter and did not notice much difference in the behavior of the car, after that I take only them.
Packaging and equipment.
The filter is delivered in a cardboard box, green. The front side of the package contains the manufacturer's name, product marking, and a table of correspondence of the PP 836/1 filter to analogues from other manufacturers. This is very convenient, since many people get used to using a filter from one manufacturer and they torment themselves with a choice to change it. The side of the packaging contains information about the manufacturer. The packaging is quite simple and does not contain any anti-counterfeiting elements, in principle this is typical for all filter manufacturers.
Inside the box is the filter itself, which is a metal cylinder with inlet and outlet openings on the end sides. Of the characteristics, I will only note the diameter of the holes, and it is 8 mm. It makes no sense to reveal the rest of the characteristics.

The holes on the filter are marked with the words "In" and "Out", apparently for completely inexperienced motorists, since it is very difficult to mix them up during installation)))
Both holes have plastic plugs, which it is better not to remove until the filter is installed, in order to avoid debris entering the filter.

Quality and reliability.
The PP 836/1 filter from Filtron has proven to be a quality product. I have been using it regularly for more than 5 years, there are no complaints about performance and never have been. The goods are always delivered in proper form and packaging. No filter clogging was observed, which is even surprising with constant refueling at Rosneft. In my opinion, this filter calmly runs back 30,000 km and even more, there is a margin of safety.

Versatility.
The filter is really very versatile, suitable for a huge number of cars. You can install this filter from the modest Skoda Octavia tour up to, you will not believe, Bentley Continental !!! (shocked myself!). In addition, it can be operated on a large number of Audi, Voltsvagens and Seat.

Price.
At the moment, the cost of the Filtron PP 836/1 fuel filter, depending on the store, varies from 300 to 350 rubles. It's cheap enough for a consumable, I think it's not cheaper for Priora or Kalina (I have not tested it). I'm even afraid to compare with original VAG filters, there will be a comparison of a fly and an elephant.

Of the minuses, I note that this filter does not always exist in auto parts stores, either it is disassembled quickly, or sellers do not order a lot. But this is not a great problem, because in almost every decent auto parts store you can now order a filter and it will come to you within a couple of days, this is not critical.

Summary.
The Filtron PP 836/1 fuel filter has established itself as a reliable, efficient and versatile filter for very little money. The Poles, in my opinion, outperformed the Germans (more precisely, the Germans abandoned it and transferred it to China and Turkey) in terms of producing cheap consumables and are currently one of the leaders in this segment. I recommend this product for purchase and use.
