Advantages: An excellent tool for those who understand the difference between an ax and a cleaver. This is a clean cleaver and it is not his task to clear the trunk from knots. But he copes with chopping logs with a bang.
Disadvantages: They are not
Comment: I chose a model for a long time, I did not consider competitors, since I had a sad experience with them. Bribed by the handle reinforced in the most loaded place and the increased area of the butt. I'm not disappointed that I took the smaller of the cleavers model: he copes with my tasks with a bang. I also have a gigantic homemade "grandfather's" cleaver in my household, with a blunt edge and an iron pipe handle. I hoped that I would use it as a heavy artillery with the largest stumps, but Gardenov's stabbed everything that came across and I didn't even get that "monster" out of the shed during the fall. I make stumps with a chainsaw myself, the length is usually no more than 40cm, the diameter is 30-35cm maximum. Probably for splitting huge logs you need an older brother with a double weight. Well, for the stove in the bath, you need neat firewoods and make them with this cleaver - like gnawing seeds. Yes, you instantly get used to its length and I have never hit the stump with the handle (there is a metal protection there), in my hand it lies as if I worked with it only. Now for the 2019 season, I think to help him try not a cleaver, but an ordinary carpenter's ax from Gardena, since this cannot even chop chips, and the bark cannot be removed and the branch cannot be chopped off.

Advantages: Balance and ergonomics. Wall mount bracket included.
Disadvantages: Didn't reveal.
Comment: A good cleaver for chopping 30-45 cm chocks. It fits perfectly in the hands, the balance is excellent. In general, it is felt that an engineer worked on the product. It uses different alloys, the bottom of the butt is finished with stainless steel. Comes with a protective plate with a hole for the hook, no storage problem. He hammered in a nail and hung it on the wall. There is no need to invent anything, everything is already provided. The weight is not large, it is well suited for the elderly, hands will not hurt. I bought it for my dad as a present.

Advantages: Excellent ax - cleaver! It is a pleasure to work for them. Optimal balance of weight and stick length. The special coating of the ax really prevents it from getting stuck in the stump. The handle is composite, hollow, but with an enormous margin of safety. It does not slip in the hand, the grip is reliable. Doesn't knock off fingers!) Thanks to this, you can work with a cleaver for a long time without feeling tired. The GARDENA 1600 easily handles medium to large logs. An important addition is the presence of a protective plastic cover. It is made of plastic, protects the cutting edge and has a convenient handle for transporting the cleaver.
Disadvantages: No flaws were found.
Comment: I believe that the price of the ax is 100% justified. A good, solid and reliable thing. Plus, the cleaver has an impact butt. It can be used to drive felling and splitting wedges. The steel pad on the ax protects it from an inaccurate blow. There are no such options on products from other manufacturers! I'm happy with the purchase. My expectations were met both from the ax itself and from the use of it.

Advantages: COMFORTABLE Not sharpened
Comment: Gardena 1600S I am engaged in the commercial chopping of firewood and tried a bunch of brands and models, I will not mention that I did not like it, I’ll tell you better about what I liked: the gardena 1600S The ax is very light and comfortable. Ergonomics and weight distribution are excellent. The ax is covered with a coating similar to that of non-stick pans, making it easy to get in and out of wood. The metal trim on the ax is another indisputable plus. If you take an ax for yourself, then he will cope with your tasks once or twice. If for commercial use, then it will quickly recoup all the investments for its purchase. I highly recommend it, I am satisfied with the purchase!

Advantages: Convenience, ergonomics, balance
Disadvantages: Didn't find
Comment: Gardena 1600S is a great cleaver! In my opinion, the ideal ratio of the length of the handle and the weight of the ax has been selected - you can chop wood for quite a long time without feeling particularly tired, but here again the question is in physical fitness. The ax handle is hollow, made of pleasant material, has protection in the area of the ax, which is actually very important in case of a possible miss. The ax itself is made very soundly - this can be seen with an unarmed eye. The ax can be used as a sledgehammer - there is no limit to this. All in all - a great purchase for a reasonable price!

Advantages: Convenient cleaver for preparing firewood. Made soundly.
Disadvantages: not yet
Comment: In general, I liked the cleaver. He copes with the cabin, the weight is normal, the handle is comfortable. I have a small amount of firewood, everything is fine. Large blocks of wood walk hard, but the cleaver itself is average.

Advantages: The Gardena 1600s ax has shown itself well as a firewood sorcerer. The set includes a plastic cover with a handle for carrying the ax. Nice little thing. The ax blade has a special coating that protects the blade from corrosion and additionally gives an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Disadvantages: Of the main drawbacks, I note only that the handle of the ax is slippery. True, there are special inserts so that the hand does not slip, but they are useless.
Comment: An ax in experienced hands is a good tool, but I advise newcomers something simpler. From the recommendations, wrap the handle with insulating tape to avoid slipping and tie a rope to the casing so as not to accidentally lose

Advantages: Light
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest
Comment: In Garden's catalog, it now goes like a small splitting ax (2800 large). I bought medium-sized blocks of wood for splitting. As it turned out, with the necessary dexterity and strength, he is quite efficient and works 50-55 cm (birch), but the higher / longer the chock, the more difficult it is for him.I plan to buy a 2800 in a pair, so that I can spend less energy on large diameter butts, there are up to 20% of them in the car, and they take disproportionately more labor.

Advantages: Gardena is, of course, a symbol of undeniable quality, the perfect balance of the ax turns work into pleasure.
Disadvantages: The only drawback is the hollow handle, which dampens recoil energy less on impact, but this is all solvable.
Comment: A great ax that your grandchildren will still use.
