Advantages:
Excessive volume. Cheap. Famous brand. Although the overclocking potential is small in frequency, it calmly allowed to lower the timings to 9-9-9-24 (at 1600 MHz).
Disadvantages:
It turned out to be incompatible with the Gigabyte LGA1155 GA-Z77MX-D3H m / board, even with the latest BIOS firmware. It works without problems on motherboards from other manufacturers.

4 pieces of Kingston KVR16N11 / 8 (32 GB) were purchased. The Gigabyte LGA1155 GA-Z77MX-D3H board refused to start with these modules. In the service center, after a thorough check and demonstration of the excellent SEPARATE work of both the board and the memory, they gave a conclusion about their incompatibility. Replaced the board with ASUS LGA1155 P8Z77-M PRO. The problem with starting the computer disappeared. The Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H board works without problems in another computer with a different memory.

Advantages:
Allows you to drop the timings to 9-9-9-24-40-2T at 1600 and 1.5v. Works with old kingston 2x2GB (1333 1.65v standard) at 1600. In theory, it has the potential for overclocking above 1600, because the voltage is 1.5v, but I have not tested it. Low profile, fits where there are huge heatsinks on the processor.
Disadvantages:
maybe they are, but I did not notice them. Depends on your needs. Perhaps only the price, about 4 months ago the prices for RAM were 30-50% lower, but now they are growing and it is not clear when they will go down.

I chose it according to the price / volume criterion. I wanted to buy 2x4 GB because of their possible dual mode operation. I must say right away that in dual mode, the speed of copying files inside the RAM is mainly increased (for example, in single mode it was 7000 mb / s, in dual it became ~ 10000 mb / s), and the speed of read and write increases by only 200-300 mb. Therefore, I decided to take it for 8 GB, then maybe I will buy another one for 8 or there will already be DDR4, we'll see. The memory is now 12 GB, together with the old opera 2x2 GB, enough for browsing with 70 tabs, a bunch of progs, no need to cautiously climb into the task manager to see how much opera is left free. By the way, it's strange, the 8 GB bracket works for me with the old ones in dual mode, although there are only 3 of them! Copying speed has increased significantly :))

At first I wanted to take 4 modules of 4 GB Samsung, since they are very praised and they are great for overclocking, but certain revisions, there are only three CH-BH-DH. Then I stumbled upon this memory. After weighing all the pros and cons, namely I just didn't want to strain and strain store employees with the selection of as many as 4 dies of the same marking for better overclocking. Moreover, 2 8GB dies consume less energy than 4 x 4, less load on the processor memory controller, higher stability in the end. Took 2 bars, activated 2-channel mode.Evaluation of Windows - 7.9

I installed and launched it WITHOUT any problems and settings on the ASUS Z97-A (LGA 1150) motherboard, with the declared frequency of 1600 MHz. I came across a low profile and Retail (packaged). There are no radiators. Plain low-profile green RAM. Works fine: I ran 1 full pass in MemTest 4.10 and 3 passes in the latest 5 version. Everything is fine.

I have a low profile, it works like a clock. I thought at first to take some "high-tech junk" with radiators and large numbers with beautiful boxes. Then I surfed, read the reviews, and counted.
