Levenhuk DTX 90 reviews
In principle, it was done normally, if you do not look at the shortcomings. This model is much better than the DTX 30 and DTX 50, because there is a normal stand with a tripod. The microscope can be used on a tripod, but not pointed at the stand, which is useful. And the base is quite heavy.
The metal tripod does not go deep enough into the stand, although the depth is deeper. Insufficient length of the fixing slot interferes (this is how you can increase the cut). Perhaps because of this, the fixing ring grips the tripod a little poorly. In general, a metal tube could be made 2-3 cm longer.
The backlight is not uniform, the light is not scattered, there is image distortion. From a part, everything is eliminated by the regulator. And it can be useful to look at some objects in a different light / color, you can see a lot of interesting things. Well, or use an external source.
The optics could be better. There is no focus around the edges of the image. And the pictures could have been better. Yes, and indicate that the optical magnification is 10-60.
But more surprised two small RUST screws holding the backlight. It’s hard to imagine how they got there at all.
The software is outrageously simple, nothing superfluous. Two drawbacks - it is not known where to update it and whether it is possible, and distortion when the window is resized (on widescreen monitors it fills the whole screen).
When buying this view, you need to understand that this is a toy and, in fact, a digital magnifier, not a microscope. However, it is kind of useful. But overall, the thing is interesting. It is much more pleasant to look at a large monitor than through an hour magnifier.
