Advantages: you can read the comment from intelfx. This is exactly how it is.
Disadvantages: It is the same as intelfx's comment, but I'll add it myself. The build quality goes depending on whether the assembler is tired or not. If not tired (I was lucky), then everything fits perfectly, everything is in place. To check, I disassembled the joystick and checked that the wires were not pinched anywhere, which is quite regularly encountered VERY IMPORTANT: Check the traction lever (just remove the cover) and make sure that the wires are not visually rigid and were not pinched. IF they were pinched, it is not scary because you checked it before using. Move them carefully so that they are not pinched when moving. If you DO NOT do this, you will lose half of the functionality. You can watch videos on YouTube in more detail about this particular problem with the joystick. I will also add that the joystick is NOT designed for a gorilla. If you have a habit (as I had at first) of squeezing the joystick until it crunches, get ready for the fact that some buttons will simply be pushed in and killed quickly enough. Personally, I killed two Saitek Cyborg Evo in the trash without the possibility of recovery. And the X56 is even more delicate in this regard and will fail even faster. Therefore, be careful when using or choose a rougher and stiffer joystick.
Comment: The backlight is only needed to visually determine which mode is on without focusing on the mode switch. There is no other point in backlighting. Be sure to adjust the traction in the app so that the top 10% is already the maximum. You can also put in the application so that some button turns on when you go beyond 100% that are drawn on the traction. Caution! The joystick is especially sensitive in all axes. Before using it in any serious game, calibrate it in the app (adjust the sensitivity curves) and maybe even lower the sensitivity in the game. If you leave everything linear, then, for example, in Arma 3 it will be almost impossible to control the interceptor, and you can forget about accurate bombing. You will be thrown and chattered by any of your slightest movements. But when you customize it for yourself, it will be awesome. Note: It is better to adjust the curves so that they look like the formula y = x ^ 3 for all axes (reason: slight backlash). If you set it up this way, it will allow you to accurately direct the aircraft to the target with a sufficiently large deviation from the center and sharply maneuver at maximum tilt. If the sensors are somehow buggy, you can manually set Deadzone in the same application for each axis, both positively and negatively. TL; DR: A joystick for those who want to get the most out of their technology and are ready to dig for hours in the settings before using.

Advantages: Many buttons, axles Two throttle controls, allowing you to assign two engines to them or step / gas on piston aircraft
Disadvantages: Quite noticeable backlash of the joystick in the middle. A huge number of inconvenient mini-joysticks instead of which ordinary buttons could be added.
Comment: Saitek X-56 under the Logitech logo. For detailed reviews of the joystick, see the original page - the difference is minimal. The choice of joystick is currently limited to only three models - Logitech X52 (Saitek X-52), Logitech X56 (Saitek X-56) and Thrustmaster Warthog. The rest is rubbish. The best choice is Warthog. Too expensive? - X56. Is it still expensive? - X52. It makes no sense to watch and compare the characteristics, you just buy the best option possible. All three are decent examples and perform well the tasks of the controller in any flight sims, but the more expensive models do it even better.

Advantages: Abundance of pins. Pleased with the thumb wheel on the throttle and the analog sticks for the thumbs on the throttle and the stick. In terms of functionality, it fully meets the needs when used in E: D.
Disadvantages: Ergonomics ENG: Made for a really big hand. And the stand that comes with the kit does not solve the problem. You need to reach for everything, especially the thumb block. Build quality: the analog stick on the RUS inside was rubbing against the body. It felt tactile. Screwdriver + Dremel solve the problem. Effort on the throttle is performed somehow clumsily. It seems to be tightened, but it is loose, it seems to be weakened, but after being in a stationary state for a while - it is delayed (something thickens there apparently). Throttle ergonomics: In the 100% position, access to the upper toggle switches is blocked. Everything is somehow shallow there, it could have been made wider / bigger. Well, a sore subject for Saitek is drivers. Pain and suffering. The declared full adjustment of the analog curves in fact applies to all curves, except for the curves of the analog sticks for the thumbs. We just pulled firewood from the X55 without processing. The app with profiles requires dancing with a tambourine upon installation The software for profiles periodically calls BSOD. The backlight does not carry any semantic meaning, and sometimes it becomes different on the RSS and the throttle.
Comment: Visually, the joystick certainly produces a wow effect. Disadvantages appear during use. And in the process of using, especially in conjunction with a VR helmet, the visual component fades away. I used the joystick in E: D and there its functionality was quite enough. However, if I knew about the shortcomings, I would definitely not have bought it. At least for the price that they sell it. Well, children's illnesses, problems with ergonomics in such a product should definitely not be.

Advantages: There are many buttons, tactilely pleasant plastic, in the software you can adjust the transmission curves from the main axes of the joystick for yourself, in fact, without setting the dead zones, the backlash of the main stick will enrage.
Disadvantages: After 2 months, problems began with the button on the throttle - it does not work, then on the contrary, it sticks. Support for the question "what to do next?" which day has been silent. You need to look for the driver on the old site, which is not particularly obvious. Why they are not on the main logitech site is a big question.
Comment: It should be borne in mind that the platforms are rather big and calculate the space for them.

Advantages: A huge bunch of buttons are conveniently located, with rare exceptions. Nice to the touch The resistance on the throttle feels unmatched The software for tuning is not the most convenient, but it allows you to adjust to the smallest detail
Disadvantages: - Joystick under a large hand - mine hangs in the air. Adjusting the wrist rest would be a lifesaver. - It is possible to force the mode toggle switch to work like buttons, but with shamanism - You can make the slider mode toggle switch work, but with shamanism - The buttons behind the throttle (round) are unpleasantly pressed - The scale on the throttle does not correspond to reality, which is very offensive - The dead zone for ministries is adjusted with some shamanism - Pressing the ministik is very inconvenient due to the shape of the sticks - Resistance on one of the thrusters went away after six months of use
Comment: The joystick is wildly pleasant to use, unfortunately the model separates several offensive little things from the complete ideal. The most unpleasant thing is that resistance from the right throttle has gone, as a result of which it has become almost impossible to use them in separate mode - here we communicate with support

Advantages: Firstly, convenience, a thrill from the game, pleasant plastic (soft to the touch), an endless array of buttons and toggle switches. The build quality is absolutely satisfactory.
Disadvantages: Yes, for a fierce perfectionist - let's say there is a slight backlash here, a little button wobbles there - this does not interfere at all and does not affect the control of this joystick. From the mass segment - not better, then only Warthog or more advanced custom pens.
Comment: Saitek is now gone, this joystick has been made by Logitech since 2016 (with blue emblems - old from Saitek, with gray ones - Logitech). On the Internet, they write that it was beneficial, at least in terms of support - they read the wishes of users.
