Advantages:
"Naked" Android 8.0 - nothing superfluous, very simple and straightforward interface. Doesn't lose connection, 4G and GPS work fine. Compact, lightweight, small frame around the workspace of the display, there is no stupid cut-out on top (so-called monobrow). Brand for Chinese price.
Disadvantages:
The sides of the smartphone are thin and smooth, without any notch, so the device can be easily dropped from your hands. The volume of the speaker for 4-ku, for example, in the subway next to a speeding train, it is impossible to talk. And there is no way to enter the engineering menu and add volumes (applications like MTK engineer mode are in fact blocked).

An inexpensive, ergonomic, perfectly balanced device, there is enough memory of both types (2/16 GB) with a margin - I installed quite a few applications and did not feel any inferiority of the device. The battery lasts 1.5 - 2 days. The device will not work for serious gamers - there will not be enough hardware resources. The design is restrained and generally very good, but there is a drawback - a smooth and even slippery body, you can easily drop it on the floor. I want to dispel some of the myths that I read on the net and which scared me before buying. The screen is far from dim, when watching youtube, the device does not heat up, WiFi does not fall off spontaneously, there are no problems with automatic wifi connection as soon as you find yourself in the router zone (although, for example, at work, where we have a router across the floor, we often have to manually connect to weak WiFi signal).

But I really like the quality of the photo, good colors, lens (proportions), objects are natural, natural. A decent selfie, you can take pictures and upload them to social networks, etc. Compared to the past Asus zenfone is just heaven and earth, the quality in nokia is much higher. 3. The Internet works well, the main ranges are present. Compared to the previous Asus zenfone - it catches better, it is noticeable. Although in some places on the train there is not always an Internet (perhaps there are no cell towers), the connection is much better with nokia. 4. good sound. The interlocutor is heard clearly and naturally. Also a good DAC inside - it sang surprisingly well with the shure 1540 headphones
Disadvantages:
android ONE is sadness and disappointment: 1. powerful percent, 8-core. But all the same, the interface hangs from time to time. But not critical. 2. the native Camera application slows down. The reason is to turn off HDR mode - everything is fast at once. I also set the resolution to 8 megapixels. 3. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM - with whatsapp and other messengers. Android itself cuts down the application after a while, then you will not receive any calls or messages. Next, you need to open whatsapp again, then it will work for 2-4 hours (maybe less / more), then again messages and calls will not come. You need to open applications periodically. At the same time, the application settings have all the permissions, work in the background and unlimited data transfer, there is no limit on battery consumption ...

For me, an almost perfect phone - solid design, good screen (colors + resolution), lte connectivity, camera and sound. This is how I envisioned the ideal phone. In all respects, an order of magnitude better than the past asus zenfone, which was also more expensive. But there is a problem with messengers, the only big drawback. I think this is due to Android ONE ... it may be fixed over time. I also recommend to make additional adjustments: - disable auto-update of applications via lte (allow the application to communicate only via wifi). select the application Google Play Store / Application settings - the Download applications option - Only via wifi. - off. show notifications on the home screen from some applications. Here is an important point - you do not need to disable notifications themselves, you just need to disable their display on the main screen. Took instead of Xiaomi Redmi 4X, which started to fail when talking. A phone with a cool design: the one-piece metal body is organically combined with plastic inserts. The streamlined edges visually make the phone slimmer and fit comfortably in the hand. However, in some cases it is inconvenient to type with one hand due to the length. Fingerprints can only be used to unlock the phone (in Xiaomi, they could be used separately to protect any applications). Some things in the Xiaomi shell are clearly more convenient, although in pure Android, their advantages in use are visible. There are no complaints about the speed (I only use it for communication, surfing the Internet, watching videos). I took it because of the trust in the brand and good appearance. Hopefully Nokia remains as reliable as it ever was.

Disadvantages:
Perhaps the body is larger, but now all the more or less normal non-brake devices in this size (not counting the Iphon CE). Well, the screen itself is not in the "trend" of the current design, such as a monobrow and a peephole for the camera, although this is nit-picking already.

In general, I am satisfied with the phone, with the amendment that I do not need much from it, I don’t use all sorts of tests for glasses and other software that requires the most power from hardware, for general everyday tasks it is behind my eyes, I bought it after using a completely budget android, the difference on the face. Moreover, its cost for the summer of the 19th is less than 8000r. You can forgive him a lot for this, but I don’t have to do that either. Since I am quite happy with the purchase. Nokia did not disappoint, at least for this moment. And by the way, I would like to note the prompt and correct online support. There was a difficulty, they helped right away - handsome men!

All in all, this is just a working smartphone that is well worth the money. It's hard to say anything special about him. The following features can be noted: - Android One - only a select bloatware from Google. All jokes, but still a good thing, better than some TouchWiz and a set of junk like that. However, it all depends on the degree of intolerance towards Google services, so it's a rather subjective thing. - Ability to use a memory card not just as a removable storage device, but as a full-fledged internal memory. - The case is quite good and strong, it has already gone through a lot of falls, there are practically no scratches or abrasions. The screen is still lucky. - Excellent functionality for your money. Quite productive, NFC, fingerprint scanner.
Disadvantages:
- It would be better if there were no headphones at all. Well, very mediocre. The wires are very thin, the earbuds themselves are very large, even for large ears. - 16 GB of memory turned out to be negligible, tk. immediately after launching and voluntarily-forced installation of all applications from Google, 11 GB were occupied. A memory card solves this issue, but only partially - not everything can be moved to it, although much more than five years ago. - The fingerprint scanner is worse than on the Nexus 5X, more moody. There is no way to configure the shutter dropout by gesture on the scanner. - NFC and contactless payment are also quite capricious, they work very strangely, there are often more difficulties with this than convenience. Again, compared to the same Nexus 5X. You also often have to re-enter the pincode / apply your finger, although I'm not sure if this is a problem with Android 9 in general or the phone itself. - The sensor can be quite capricious, especially around the edges. The thumbs with a firm grip can easily press on it.

I bought a Nexus 5X to replace the deceased, expecting similar functionality. In general, for this money, I was not disappointed - many of the shortcomings are, rather, wishes for future HMD models ..
