Opinions from the Philips 50PUS6503

Advantages:
Image: beyond praise for this price tag. Colors, brightness, contrast, etc. are all great. Real 4K. HDR is pleasing to the eye. We didn't really see the difference with the 7-series Samsung, everything is fine. Sound: it is gorgeous, no soundbar is needed, the sound is loud and clear, there is something to compare with (I hung it on the bracket instead of the Samsung 7-series for comparison, the state employee sounds better than the flagship). Control without a remote control is convenient in the form of a joystick. I liked the assembly more than LG, the quality of the body materials and the build quality are high. The Internet keeps stable on 5G, YouTube shows 4k HDR 60fps without brakes. DNLA works without problems too.
Disadvantages:
No smart TV (I haven't updated the firmware), Samsung and Lg are the best in this regard. The remote is really inconvenient, the Koreans are more interesting. The TV is slow in terms of switching channels and in smart, Koreans are faster. The menu is VERY inconvenient, the interface is like from the 90s, everything is miserable, boring and braking. No light sensor. There is no normal leveling of loudness, what is not clear how it works, in fact AVL is a stupid function, in comparison with the Koreans. The player is disgusting, there is no time search, only rewind to 32X. There is no shutdown due to inactivity, I fell asleep one evening, I wake up in the morning and the TV works (Koreans turn off themselves after 4 hours of inactivity). There is some problem with the tuner, it may write "no signal" and after a few seconds it will start showing the channel via cable, others do not have such a problem.
Comment:
I took Philips not by chance and intentionally, the house has all three brands of leading TVs of the same diagonal: Samsung (7500), Lg (630), and this Philips as a comparison. I compared all the pros and cons with my Lg and Samsung TVs. All the disadvantages overlap the advantages of the picture quality and sound quality. All three TVs are powered by one cable TV and one Netgear R6200 router (802.11ac).

Advantages:
The review has been updated thanks to a vague support service (see the first point in the shortcomings). - Found it with a 30% discount, for that price and estimate. - Good matrix, although I like VA with black color better than IPS. 8bit + FRC, so everything looks good enough (obviously 10bit would be even better, but on test gradients everything is fine). - Honest 4K, no RGBW. There is support for RGB 444 with a full range, although it has not yet been possible to adjust it without excessive contrast. For HDR, of course, the brightness and bitness of the matrices is not enough, although it is announced. - Not a bad float. I really did not use expensive TV sets at home, but I saw other floatation devices at my comrades' houses and there were obvious artifacts, but here, basically, something can be noticed only on abrupt scene changes.
Disadvantages:
- Lag of the picture from HDMI is absent only in game mode (which is expected), but after turning on the TV, there is lag here as well. You have to switch through all the modes back to the game mode and then the lag goes away. Enrages enough at the moment. I tried to discuss this problem with Philips support, they even answered for the first time in the spirit of "and you tried to turn it off and on again." Actually, I tried, and then they stopped responding altogether. Having an obvious glitch in the firmware, they apparently decided to ignore my first answer and subsequent requests to get in touch. - Advertising is built into the menu, although it is not overpowering and not a cheap banner. But of course the manufacturer lost his temper. - The default image settings are strange, or faded or vice versa pluck-out. On the other hand, to make an accurate picture via HDMI, you just need to put everything in the middle and, if you wish, turn off any color and clarity enhancements. - Highlights and blackouts can be said no. There is a slight darkening in the corners, but you need to look closely. At an angle, you can notice uneven illumination in some places, but only at an angle. At an angle, by the way, the picture fades, but the colors do not change much - for me this is not a problem. tv stands straight. - There is some "dirt" in the backlight that can be seen on dim monochromatic fillings, but this is probably the disease of most direct led.
Comment:
I did not watch TV channels, to a greater extent the signal comes from the PC. The sound is reproduced not by the TV, so I will not say anything about it (unless it is disgusting). For 30tr it's just the coolest TV with its own diagonal and picture. Initially, I took it to replace it after a year or so when QLED / OLED became a little more affordable, but the desire to change it has already disappeared. True, for 45tr, I would probably think about QLED / OLED already, at discounts in any case.

Advantages:
good TV for the price. good va matrix with deep black (well, not ice of course) and bright colors. Me and two shop assistants liked the colors more than the curved samsung 50nu7300. normal sound. direct backlight without glare. not a single broken pixel.
Disadvantages:
the viewing angles are too small. but this is va matrix, but false ips for this price will probably win in the corners, but not in colors. after a relatively small angle, the colors fade slightly, although the situation does not worsen much up to 180 °. braked and poor smarttv and the menu is slow. Well, Phillips has long been China, the truth is going to Russia, someone is a minus.

Advantages:
- Price-quality ratio. In my case, it was bought at a stock for 33k. Was taken exclusively under the PlayStation 4 and watching satellite TV. I found out about what is on Smart TV only during the purchase process. The main thing was the image quality for an acceptable amount and the presence of HDR (also for an acceptable amount). I understand that the variation in colors from HDR on TVs over 50+ will be much steeper, but I was completely satisfied with the purchase. - I'll write Smart TV as a plus, because you need to understand that fast Smart TV on Android 7-8 version + 4k + HDR will cost, as indicated in paragraph 1, in the region of 50 thousand or more. This is more of a pleasant bonus here than something that should be counted on. The main thing is that there is Netflix. For the first time in my life I tried to use services like MeGoGo and Okko TV - it's a complete slag. And this does not depend on Smart TV, because it is just a waste of money and an inconvenient service. People who write about the browser and other functions that are not inherent (!) TV - well, are you serious or what? There is a PC or laptop nearby, and you are trying to watch the site on a TV with a remote control? It looks more like nit-picking and fabrication than the real flaws of any TV. - Wi-Fi keeps perfectly, 5 GHz immediately connect. - Buns like MirrorCast. To be honest, I did not use them, but the realization that they exist warms my soul: D
Disadvantages:
- Remote control and its response. Well, the remote control and working with it is a real drawback. I put 5 on the TV, since the remote control takes 0.4 points, that is, in total it turns out 4.6 - rounded 5 :)) I often have to press the button 2 times, but in my case, the main remote control is from the NTV-Plus prefix, so the overall impression is smoothed ... - Input lag. This only applies to those who seriously play football on the console. Set the "HDR gaming" or "Monitor" image setting on the HDMI port of the PS4 / XBox. So the Input lag disappears, otherwise gaming will not bring any pleasure. In other games, there are no inconveniences at all.
Comment:
In general, if you need a screen for viewing a satellite and for games with normal graphics, then take it without hesitation. I think for those who prefer to play on consoles and have decided to specifically upgrade to PS4 Pro / Xbox One X + 4k TV, this is one of the priority options on the Russian market. Eyes do not hurt after 4-5 hours of playing with words in general, but I have them quite sensitive. Watching sports is a pleasure. I advise you to look for promotions - some of the retailers will definitely have them. The main thing is to understand that it is impossible to get the same from a TV set for the conventional 34-35 thousand as from a TV set for 50.

try this video to run on all your 4k smart TVs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwxVxw8HaX4 at the very end of the video (7:05), when the sailboats start to disperse, the video has a jamb and an image of a sailboat (large background) begins to stretch (pulls the trail from the first mast of the background sailboat), and this is where the TV processor is very important and how it will smooth out and process this defect! only this Phillips and Sony coped with smoothing the jamb! from which I conclude that the processors from Sony and Phillips are either from the same manufacturer or are very similar and so good! tested for lg, samsung, sony, phillips! only Sony and Philips managed to optimize this defect! lg did not pull the video at all (there is a version on the Internet that lg does not support 4k video at all, as stated), Samsung messed up to the fullest and even checked on the top version of TV! the price category was considered from 34 to 50 thousand rubles. or take norms for 79 thousand rubles a cooler! and one more very important point, this TV supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (5 GHz), which was not found on 4K Samsung TVs and LG 70-72 series of the same price category 34-46 thousand rubles. which means that without this frequency over Wi-Fi, you will not be able to watch 4k!

Advantages:
I like the image, digital channels are great too.
Disadvantages:
Online cinemas from wi-fi do not work. The problem is not with my provider, not with the router, but it looks like an update. Everything is ok from the mobile hotspot.
Comment:
Why should I dance dances with tambourines after the purchase? To watch online cinemas. The problem is not solved. Long-term technical support.
January 24, 2019, Moscow
Advantages:
In terms of price (33k) / picture quality, one of the best options. Wifi dual band, does not fall off.
Disadvantages:
Thoughtful interface, weak smart (treated with an external prefix)
Comment:
It's about 50 "where VA is a matrix.

Usage experience - 1 month. I took Phillips, since the previous one was also Phillips, and there were no problems with it for all 9 years of operation. This one seems to have everything ok too: the picture is clear, the colors are juicy, the viewing angles are excellent. He fulfills his price tag 100%. The only thing: it periodically requires a re-connection to WiFI, until it has been determined with what it is connected.

Advantages:
Support for 4k when connected to a PC, price, picture, etc.
Disadvantages:
I couldn't find it for that kind of money, otherwise it would be just nitpicking.
Comment:
I changed my 32-inch Phillips, and hence the smart 1st, but I was more interested in how I watch the monitor, I watch TV once a year or only when there is a major sports competition.
