Advantages: I apologize for the long review, but if this information turns out to be useful at least for someone, I will be very happy :) I scattered the information on the columns "Advantages", "Disadvantages", "Comment" in a strange way, because I didn’t fit the review text :) "+" 1) AVERAGE V = 17.5-19.5 km / h, saving on T = 20-25% compared to TAT 2) 4 seasons, 2236 km without a single breakdown, not a penny investments 3) 3.86kg 4) Over 4 seasons, 12504 rubles were saved on TAT 5) A lot of "+" emotions from driving 6) Pleasant physical "-" 1) In the rain, ride non-kosher, short rear wing (although it is not Nuno!) 2) The rear wheel is chomping (it does not affect the dynamics and safety!) 3) At 1700 km, the brake is leaking, there is no spare on sale 4) The folding mechanism is backlash (but there is a screw that regulates the backlash) I bought Razor A5 Lux Blue on 03/21/2014 for 4190 rubles. a) Flew 4 seasons: 1) 03/24/2014 - 11/25/2014, 87 trips to work, S = 505 km, saved 199 trips on the TAT for 2594 rubles (TAT = 750 rubles, then 800 rubles) 2) 12.04.2015-14.11.2015, 84 departures, 571 km, saving 198 trips and 2812 rubles (TAT = 850 rubles) 3) 17.04.2016-28.10.2016, 89 departures, 618 km, saving 202 trips and 3373 rubles (TAT = 1000 rubles) 4) 11.04.2017-19.10.2017, 83 trips, 542 km, saving 194 trips and 3725 rubles (TAT = 1150 rubles) Total: 343 trips, 2236 km, 12504 rubles !!! :) b) Vav: 1) In my 3rd season with already matured and never lubricated bearings I walked 3 km in 9min 10sec, taking into account the traffic, AVERAGE V = 19.6 km / h (i.e. somewhere you spar 22 km / h, somewhere 18 km / h). 2) On the most broken asphalt, with many road crossings, Vav does not fall below 16 km / h at S = 1-4 km. It should be borne in mind that for 18 years I have been involved in professional sports and have a CCM in track and field athletics in sprint running :) c) I do not know of any other alternative> faster modes of transport than my scooter: 1) On a 250-350W electric scooter Vmax = usually 20-25 km / h (in ideal conditions), and Vav will be lower! It's not a fact that an electric scooter is faster than the Razor A5 Lux! And what is heavier is for sure! :)
Disadvantages: 2) A folding single-speed Dahon on 16 wheels goes, practically, with the same V, but S overcomes a larger one: 10-20 km, versus 5 km on a scooter (on S> 5 km, the Vav of the scooter falls). All the advantages of a folding bike disappear as soon as you start to drag it up the hump: 12.7 kg compared to 3.86 kg of a scooter are tangible! 3) The manner of moving is similar to a motorcycle: there you lick beepies, here there are pedestrians :) It's hard to believe, but on a scooter on T it turns out like on a motorcycle! Indeed, in the case of a motorcycle, first you need to open the shed, remove the cover, unfasten the locks, pull out, start, warm up, put on equipment, drive to work, there, wrap your chains around a tree and change. If you count all this, then "scooter + metro" = "motorcycle", checked! :) d) The main amenities, why I bought a scooter: 1) From 1 hour of the trip ("metro + TAT"), 12-15 minutes ("metro + scooter "), saving on T = 20-25%! :) 2) Saving money on travel! :) 3) A lot of" + "emotions from the ride: these are barely weaving, these are sitting in their enamel basins, looking at each other friend in traffic. You fly and feel yourself the smartest, fastest and most free, experiencing the joy of existence! :) 4) Nice physical! :) e) Reliability: 1) I drive only in dry weather, in the rain it is disgusting. Yellow curbs for blind pedestrians, road markings and zebra crossing become ice in the rain! Wet, unpleasant, uncomfortable, and the brakes disappear. From the rear wheel, spray falls on the panties, even if you walk with a peskodral and carry the scooter nearby. This is a well-known jamb of this scooter, which the manufacturer does not want to fix in any way :) 2) For all the time I have NOT INSERTED a penny in it, NEVER LUBRICATED the bearings !!! If you put the scooter on its side and spin the wheel strongly, then it rotates> minutes, and this is with such and such a run! 3) Within a month after purchase, the rear wheel moaned. Nobody knows the reason, it doesn't affect the dynamics and safety, I scored on it. 4) Broken decorative plastic protection, protecting the folding mechanism from dirt, figs with it :)
Comment: 5) With a run of 1700 km, the brake made a hole! It is not available in any store, and no one has ever heard of it! :) I drive with a hole, there are no problems with slowing down. With prolonged hard braking, the natural rubber outsole melts and the boot sticks to the brake !!! If you pull your foot, a thin film of boot rubber remains on the brake! :) 6) There is a play on the helmsman - the steering bearings are worn out (a consequence of high-speed driving on our roads and tiles). I did not experience any problems when driving on tiles without shock absorbers. Shock absorbers on a scooter are evil, dissipating energy, lowering V, increasing weight, complicating the structure and not coping with bumps. 7) The folding mechanism walks, but there is a screw that regulates the backlash. If you wrap it with a hexagon, then the backlash goes away, but it's impossible to fold. You have to choose a compromise. I glued the rubber band to the inside of the mechanism - it became better. It is strange that the manufacturer did not do this. 8) In the place where the latch of the folding mechanism falls into the hole and is fixed in the frame, the thick metal has worn out a little and an additional small backlash has appeared. 9) Without load, the scooter rattles, sounds "cheap". With a load it sounds <, but the scooter is still noisy. It turned out that it is very convenient - everyone hears you, looks around in advance and shy away from anyone :) Conclusion: The Razor A5 Lux is a turbojet projectile and a means for teleportation! :) Especially good for short high-speed shots of 1-4 km on low level flight. There can be a lot of these short Ss during the day (my standard daily S = 8-12 km). At S> 5 km, Vav falls at a time. My biggest S for the day = 22.8km. I described a few shortcomings "worn out", "worn out", but these are absolute trifles! He never once did not BREAK! With such a mileage and constant shaving flights over the tiles, it is obvious that there will be inevitable wear. I am very pleased with the purchase, this is my ingenious purchase, I am constantly campaigning for everyone to buy a scooter. It is not clear why people have not moved to it yet ?! :)

Advantages: Very smooth ride, picks up well and maintains speed. Conveniently folds up. The latch does not get dirty. Folded very compact, you can safely ride with it in a crowded subway car, taking up the minimum amount of space and not getting anyone dirty. When folded, it can be conveniently placed both horizontally and vertically (but in this position you need to either hold the steering wheel slightly or lean somewhere). Good handlebar height. The handlebar raised to the maximum (until the steering wheel lock clicks) with a height of 170 cm allows me to ride very gracefully with my back fully straightened.
Disadvantages: 1) The steering wheel rotates 360 degrees and does not lock in any way when folded. Thus, in the folded state, it will not work simply to hold the steering wheel, since the entire platform dangles (rotates relative to the steering wheel) from side to side. 2) In continuation of point 2. It is very inconvenient to carry the scooter in the unfolded state behind the steering wheel, since, again, it rotates 360 degrees and the platform itself, unexpectedly turning relative to the steering wheel, can hurt your legs.3) When you go to the metro, where there are a lot of people (or in other transport), and you hold the folded scooter behind the wheel, not only does it hang out, it also strives to roll off somewhere, as it stands on one wheel. So that he does not go anywhere and does not dangle around the steering wheel, you need to hold it with both hands. One hand holds the steering wheel, the other hand holds the top wheel by the spokes. Since the needles are plastic and very large, this is not a problem. UP: I came up with a solution, you can put it at a slight angle and then the wave stands steadily leaning on the base of the steering wheel, where the folding mechanism is, but you still need to hold it .. It's very difficult to ride on a dirt road, but a city scooter is not intended for this. Consider this when choosing.
Comment: This is my first scooter, today I rode it to work for about 5 km (2 km from home to metro, 3 km from metro to work) and wrote my impressions. It is possible that some of what I wrote is not a drawback of this particular model, but is quite common and everyone is used to it. In general, of course, the scooter is cool, not cheap, but the golden mean, so to speak. This scooter is ideal for my height, but I don't know how people with a height of 180 and above will feel. They will probably have to ride slightly bent over. UP: I'm just trudging from the scooter. The average speed is 8-10 km / h, but there was also 12 km / h. Most importantly, it can be folded quickly. Then I rode it to the grocery store, when a tram approached a stop, I folded the scooter in seconds and drove several stops on the tram, and then unfolded it in a few seconds and drove on.

Advantages: Large 200 mm wheels hide uneven asphalt well. You can even ride on flat paving stones, although it will still shake you. A strong frame allows you to safely jump from curbs onto the road and not be afraid that the scooter will fall apart after the jump.
Disadvantages: On my copy, after many jumps from the curbs, the rear wheel began to creak. The bearings have nothing to do with it - the wheel is to blame. Otherwise, there are no complaints.
Comment: I've been riding it for a couple of years now - a good form of transport for those who want to get from home to work / study without shaking in public transport or spending time in traffic jams. The scooter is foldable, if you have wheel covers, you can drag it with you wherever you go. The average speed that I develop on it is about 10 km / h.

Advantages: In general, a very decent device. I think that in terms of class it is right behind the super-expensive xootr scooters. The design is simple and reliable. All safety areas are additionally welded with very good seams and reinforced with spacers. Easily supports 80-90kg. Quite soft large wheels allow you to move relatively well on medium scabby asphalt. Not a bicycle, of course, but better than scooters with roller wheels. On good asphalt, of course, it's a thrill to go - it picks up speed and keeps it just fine. You feel reliability, you are not afraid that at some point it will fold under you. It is designed for murder - it can chop wood and demolish dilapidated buildings. Yes, it will all loose and rattle, but it will not crumble to the last. All key units are made of metal.
Disadvantages: Not very cheap. Even I would say dear, but this is quality. Thunders on bad asphalt. In principle, this is the case in all non-plastic scooters. Iron knocks on iron and this can only be avoided by laying everything with rubber bands, but this apparently did not fit into the budget. There is nothing in the kit. Because the scooter itself is large - it is not so easy to find a bag for it, even branded ones do not exist (razor bags are only for small scooters).
Comment: We can say that this is a scooter in a utilitarian spirit. It doesn't have any special fentifluxes or decorations. It does not stand out in design - its entire structure is designed purely for engineering reasons. But it evokes a sense of reliability, yet lightweight, folds well and keeps speed.

Advantages: Large wheels that spin very well. Easy to fold.
Disadvantages: For me the platform is too high - the leg of which I push gets tired. The steering wheel vibrates a lot when riding on paving slabs, but the scooter rides fine. On the scooter itself, the carrying capacity is indicated not 110, but 100 kg.
Comment: In general, they bought a scooter for adults, so as not to run after a small child when he rides on his scooter. The scooter rides easily - if you turn the wheels in the air, they spin for a very, very long time. The steering wheel, I would not say that it rises high enough (182 cm low), but perhaps this is a matter of habit. It is written on the scooter that it is from 8 years old, but our 4 year old child rides on it very well, although compared to scooters on small wheels it is more difficult to keep balance on it. We had a kids soccer goal bag - it was perfect for a scooter - small, zipped, and a carry strap. (a bag with a gate cost less than 1000r)

Advantages: Lightweight, comfortable
Disadvantages: Short rear wing
Comment: I went on this scooter all last season, now I'm starting a new one. Feelings are delight. The speed of movement in comparison with walking on foot has increased by about 6 times. (I think I am not exaggerating). Here, of course, everything depends on physical training. If necessary, I take it with me in transport, incl. minibuses and metro. I don't use the brake - IMHO, it's more convenient to brake with my foot on the ground. At first, he mercilessly jumped onto the curbs on a scooter, which made the plastic cover fall apart at the bottom. But this did not affect the performance. Now I drive more carefully. The main and only drawback is the short rear wing. When driving in the rain or even on wet asphalt, the supporting leg is sprayed up to the ass (not an exaggeration). I'm going to put on a plastic fender pad. I compared this scooter with some Oxelo model with shock absorption. The Oxelo ride is more comfortable, after all, the amortization. But it's also heavier. Here everyone decides for himself what is more important for him. You also need to mention 2 more disadvantages. The first is the inability to use the scooter all year round. The second is that I haven't bought a scooter before - it would have saved a lot of time. In short - all for scooters! :)

Advantages: Durable, fast, compact, fast, for a reasonable price
Disadvantages: The folding mechanism rattles, the rear wing cannot cope in the rain - the legs are splashed
Comment: Last year I bought this scooter for my wife to ride with my child. And in this I decided to buy myself, read reviews about this model and was horrified. If they had not exploited it for a year, I would never have bought it. In fact, most of the negative reviews were left by people who made the wrong choice when buying a scooter. The A5 LUX is a compromise scooter. In the context of the task at hand, many of its characteristics can be regarded as both an advantage and a disadvantage. 1. Oak polyurethane wheels. It is hard to drive on rough roads, but it is comfortable to drive on good surface, good roll forward. For riding on cobblestones or rough terrain, it is better to buy something with inflatable wheels and shock absorbers (maybe even a bicycle). 2. Narrow deck. You cannot put 2 legs next to each other, the pushing leg will always hang a little, but you do not need to put your leg wide apart when pushing, which reduces tiredness from riding. 3. Small ground clearance. When leaving the sidewalk, you can catch on the bottom of the deck, but on a flat road you don't even need to squat to push off - I push off with the toe of my lowered foot. 4. Lack of shock absorbers.Ride hard over bumps and bumps, but there is less weight and energy loss when driving on a good road. Small irregularities are compensated for by soft polyurethane foam grips. 5. The folding mechanism really rattles and, apparently, nothing will work out with it - the square aluminum profile, which is inside the frame, rattles. Pay for ease of folding. By the way, a different mechanism is used on the A6 LUX model, apparently for this very reason. 6. Like many other users, I hurt my leg several times when I tried to carry the scooter by the handle :-) Then I realized that I need to carry it either when folded, holding my hand at the junction of the steering tube and frame, or at the bottom of the steering tube, if you need, for example, to cross the road with the child. By the way, my height is 185, weight 77 and foot size 43. The grips are a bit short for my taste. I have no problems with the height of the steering wheel and the length of the deck

Advantages: 1. Durable and reliable, almost all made of metal, minimum of plastic. 2. Large wheels 3. Maintainable 4. Fast folding
Disadvantages: A very significant drawback: if you want to use it not for "driving on the weekend", but for getting around the city: in rainy weather, all the dirt from the rear wheel will fly onto your clothes.
Comment: Drove it for three seasons. In the first season, my weight was 110 kg. and the scooter did it without falling apart. As for the rattling, which many here write about, it is the folding mechanism that rattles. If you don't need to fold it all the time, then you can tighten it with a hexagon and it will stop rattling, although it will fold too. Unfortunately, the problem with spray flying from the rear wheel can only be solved by handicraft, by gluing some cut plastic structures to the wing, I have not seen normal full-sized fenders on sale. This is, in my opinion, a significant flaw in the constructor.

Advantages: Rides great, folds and unfolds easily.
Disadvantages: The plastic pads on the front wheel quickly broke. True, it is generally unclear why they are.
Comment: We skated all summer with a child of 8 years old. He's on a bike, I'm on this scooter. The speed is the same. But, on a scooter, it is much more difficult to drive on a rough road. But you can fold it and take it with you to the store, and the bike remains on the street. I also tried to drive around the center of Moscow. But where there is a tile or the asphalt is changed, it is easier to carry the scooter next to you. The same goes up the hill. It is very simple and convenient, and even helps if you hang a heavy bag on the handle. And when there is even asphalt or a slope under your feet, driving is a pleasure.
