Hello! I am an aspiring musician and recently bought myself in a recording studio such a wonderful thing as a Shure Beta 87A vocal microphone. This is honestly one of my best investments in my life. The quality of the recording has increased significantly with my new purchase. Well, not really my purchase, since this is mostly the merit of the guys who are my team. What can I tell you about this microphone? Well, in principle, a lot. First, it has a supercardioid directivity characteristic. The same characteristic prevents feedback and the penetration of extraneous noise. Also this microphone can handle high sound pressure levels. An extended, precisely shaped frequency response envelope delivers exceptionally warm, faithful and detailed vocals. And this is very important. The microphone capsule is protected by a sturdy steel mesh. Which also plays a role. The high quality of the microphone allows its use both at concert venues and in sound recording and TV broadcasting studios. The type of this microphone is condenser, frequency range - 50 Hz - 20 kHz, nominal impedance - 150 Ohm, Sensitivity (1kHz) - -52.5dBV / Pa (2mV), enhanced protection system against mechanical influences. I just listed its essence to you, toyst gave you a general opinion about what you have, or may be dealing with. Well, I think it would be a little expensive to take such a microphone for a home studio, but if there is such an opportunity, then why not. The guys and I, in addition to my work, decided to take up the recording studio itself, to record other guys. We have a great team. We have not invested a lot of effort and money in our studio and I hope not in vain. We have already done some test recordings with the new microphone, and my team and I are very happy with the results. In a week, a full-fledged recording of my first solo album will start, and I am sure that this wonderful Shure Beta 87A microphone will help me a lot to make just high-quality material, with which I will not be ashamed to appear to people. This microphone is really a great thing, I have great pleasure in working with this technique. When we just started making our recordings, we had only cheap stuff from our equipment and the fact that we did it except for the network, and then anonymously, so as not to burn someone who messes up. Well, now we are doing great and I am really happy with my last purchase for the studio, this wonderful Shure Beta 87A microphone, it helps me a lot. With him my records, my songs really deserve a listener, not a trash can. I bought it myself, I advise everyone. Whether you are singers or presenters, it doesn't matter. He will cope with any task. I'm 100% sure of this.

Advantages:

Excellent sound, design, quality materials

Disadvantages:

I did not find any drawbacks for this model during use

I use this microphone for vocals. He is incomparable! Adjustments on good equipment are minimal! Tall ones even have to be cleaned up a little. Even with poor acoustics, you can achieve rich vocal sound. The microphone is very sensitive, even breathing can be heard. It will also be ideal for beat boxing, since in addition to the chic transmission of high frequencies, the lows are also excellent. I like the shape of the microphone very much. It looks like it is especially elegant, which will be appreciated by girls and iphone lovers for example (just kidding). The materials are very high quality, the assembly is excellent. This is the best condenser vocal microphone for me. I did not find any minuses during use. He copes very well with the responsibilities assigned to him.

So a good dictaphone, I would even say very good when speaking in a not very large audience. As a musician myself, I bought myself a microphone and am quite happy with the sound. Well, not the purest sound of this microphone, but still better than karaoke microphones. I put a solid four on a 5-point system. Good quality. You will not regret buying such a microphone. It is suitable both for recording (in an isolated room, and in order to simply sing into it, for example, with friends. By the way, I would also advise you to download the * Cubes * program for arranging and recording sound. For clarity of sound, it is worth purchasing a high-quality, not long cord. remove unnecessary noise on the recording. Perfectly attaches to the microphone stand and does not fall. Do not injure such a microphone, because it may break, the microphone head will not withstand a big shock, the sound will become distorted, and you will have to buy a new head or even new microphone. Use and buy only high quality equipment. Good luck to all beginners. I wish you success.

The shure 87A microphone is pretty good, despite being electret rather than dynamic. Having purchased this microphone, I did not regret that I gave such an amount, although not quite expensive, there are even more expensive ones, but the microphone just pleases.
Sensitive to the slightest vibrations, based on this, I found many advantages: * clearly conveys all voice frequencies, so you don't have to use additional gadgets, for example, graphic equalization, compression.
* No need to add a sensitivity level on the mixer.
* juiciness of sounding even on lousy Chinese acoustics.
And during live performances, he behaves incomparably, does not whistle and does not turn on with the competent work of the sound engineer.

I am an aspiring rapper, at first I recorded on a microphone from a webcam, as you understand there was no voice at all, only whistles, creaks, hiss. And it turned out not clear what, but definitely not the song). Soon I got rich a little, bought myself a studio recording equipment, and bought a separate microphone, it was called Yamaha, I don't advise anyone to buy this microphone, my webcam recorded better. The next day I bought myself another microphone, of course a Shure Beta 87A, after which my tracks went like clockwork ... With this microphone I was in seventh heaven, because after the recording, the extraneous noise does not need to be reduced, there it is not a couple of runs and your whole track is completely ready) I recommend this microphone, to everyone and those who work in the studios, work will go like clockwork
