But if you put all of them side by side and run the same video or pictures, everything immediately becomes clear, the color rendition is black / white and highlights. I decided that it was better to overpay a little for Sony, although I initially watched LJ and it seemed to me that everything was fine on it. Yes, by the way, only Sony has a nice moment - this is the audio output (3.5).

Disadvantages: I haven't found it yet. Perhaps the built-in speakers - but this is rather an option until you connect a decent sound.

Comment: Didn't overpay for smartTV. I use it in conjunction with Mi Box with Android TV 6. (About all the advantages of the set-top box in the review about the set-top box) which costs exactly the difference in price between this TV and the same one with smart TV. The set-top box can be controlled by the native remote control.

Advantages: Assembly - Malaysia (this is a plus and a minus). A beautiful picture and color rendition (for budget TVs), in my opinion, is better than that of similar Samsung and LG. Also Full HD. Good viewing angles and contrast. By the way, the power supply is the same as in laptops. The TV OS has many settings for tuning sound and picture.

Disadvantages: The budget version of Sony, everything is cut down and cheaper. One USB that does not pull a terabyte 2.5 USB hard drive (not enough voltage). Although other televisions, even 10 years ago, are quietly pulling. Some in the reviews write that it pulls, but my both drives (Seagate and Samsung) do not pull. Since the assembly of Malaysia, this TV is completely not intended for analog TV, which has not been used in Asian countries for 100 years.

Comment: The budget and minimalism are immediately felt. Obviously, the Sony engineer was taken as a basis for more expensive models, which made them as cheap as possible in everything. If we speak in automobile language, then this TV can be compared with the Hand Solaris - as cheap as possible, but at the same time it is well controlled and reliable. Without SmartTV - but it doesn't matter to me. From my past experience with other TVs, I realized for myself that using SmartTV with a remote control is real masochism.It is much easier and more convenient to plug any WiFi digital media player the size of a USB flash drive into the HDMI connector and control the OS from a laptop. Either immediately connect a media player or a media server in general. The sound is not bad, you can say the standard for a state employee. But certainly not as in expensive models. Who wants to enjoy good surround sound - either buy additional speakers or buy more expensive TVs. The TV OS has an equalizer and all sorts of Sonev's branded sound enhancers. The picture is really good for a budget series, but do not expect fancy, like in expensive models. Another feature of this model is that the picture will be beautiful and rich only in digital channels. An Asian-made TV set for the Asian market, where analogue channels have not been used for a long time. For whom analog channels are important, take better Samsa and LG of the Russian assembly. In general, considering the budget Sony, the picture and color rendition are very decent. As a verdict: if you need a home theater - do not take this model, otherwise you will be disappointed. This model is clearly not for this. If you need a good quality TV for watching digital TV and content from a USB drive, take it.

Comment: Initially I looked at KDL40RD353 for four tr. cheaper and sold I was told that this is practically the same thing - it differs only in the year of release. KDL40RD353 - 2016 and KDL40RE353 - 2017. Despite the fact that 2016 was almost everywhere showcase, I chose 2017. I have poor experience in choosing and operating LCD TVs and I have nothing to compare with, so the review will be rather subjective. The picture quality seemed to me high, but I can't afford to buy, for example, LG and compare :). Perhaps it is the quality that compensates for the disadvantages I identified, such as: 1. one broken pixel and some kind of garbage (possibly a speck of dust) inside the screen. 2. A very flimsy leg-stand, when I screwed it to the TV set, I thought "how will he stand on such" but it seems that the flight is normal so far. 3. unrealistic brakes after active, even short-term, use, for example, after setting up the channels, I tried to look at pictures from the flash drive and got a slow (5-10 seconds) switching of modes, channels, photos, return back to the main menu. It was decided by rebooting (off / on TV), the TV set began to load thumbnails (icons) of photos much faster. 5. There is no sound, there is simply no bass, although this is probably normal for a TV. If you want a normal sound, buy a normal acoustics. In the net, almost all of these shortcomings are written about the KDL40RD353, which, in fact, is almost the same predecessor from 2016.

Plus the SONY brand) Picture, sound, control, design - everything is very good. I would especially note the remote control - no frills, but very convenient and functional. In addition, the remote control itself was cut to my Nvidia Shield, and it implements full control of this android set-top box, up to the multimedia keyboard (stop-start-pause-rewind, etc.) As a result, we got an advanced smart TV, because the filling and the capabilities of Nvidia are much cooler than what manufacturers mount in their smarts. There is one but. In my copy, there is a slight unevenness of the screen backlight closer to its center (see photo). It appears only on light, uniform scenes. It does not particularly interfere with viewing, but, for example, in hockey broadcasts, it is striking. I quote a SONY representative on this matter: “In the photographs provided, we did not notice any signs of a technical malfunction of the TV. This is due to the peculiarity of the backlight and scattering elements. It is quite difficult to achieve a completely uniform backlight.The technologies that allow achieving the best uniformity are technologically very complex; they are used in rather expensive TV models. Uneven backlighting is allowed and is not a sign of any technical malfunction of the TV. To minimize this effect, it is usually enough to lower the overall level of brightness and panel backlighting. "So, if you want a perfect picture, take" fairly expensive models ") Or go to the store with just a photo of something white on a flash drive and be sure to check!

Advantages: Turned on and forgot about the settings. The picture quality of the hd content is excellent, the sd is acceptable. Ideal model for pairing with TV boxes. Price / quality combination

Comment: Perfect TV for people who don't watch TV. Previously, we looked at everything on the tablet, but it is too small. We solved the problem by purchasing this TV + TV set-top box. The final price turned out to be comparable to the cost of competitors with smart. Thanks to the kind person in the review of the competing TV, from there I learned about this model and do not regret it at all. I didn't really appreciate the sound quality of my native speakers, tk. Immediately after installation, I connected the speakers through the mini-jack and I enjoy the sound. In any TV, there will be little low frequencies trivial due to the small size of the speakers.

Advantages: Cool TV. The picture is very juicy for its price. No unnecessary Smart and 3D.

Disadvantages: Soft plastic in the case. Flimsy plastic rack.

Comment: Took the TV to the living room, chic model for their money

Advantages: Price / quality combination. The picture, the controls, the design are all very good. The remote control is no frills, but everything is very convenient and functional. It is very easy to replace the external power supply in case of breakdown. Internet access (Smart TV) - no, but for me it's a plus.

Disadvantages: - one usb output when connecting an external hard drive may not have enough power to select. - the sound is "loud" but there is no low end (but you can always improve, for example, the soundbar sony ht-sf150 // c)

Comment: Good model. Connected to an indoor antenna, receives digital channels confidently. There is simply no better TV in this price segment. I recommend buying!

Comment: You have not found the best for the price / quality. Does not freeze, everything works well. The image is excellent, and that's the main thing. According to some reviews, there is no sound, but I was surprised, it is not that bad: it is clear and powerful enough (usually I look at 20 out of 100, room 20m), but naturally not a home theater, so I connect external acoustics if necessary (through 3.5mm- its presence is a plus, because on some models it is not). Setting up and controlling the TV is excellent, everything is clear and transparent. It takes a little getting used to the remote control, as usual. The currently identified drawback of 1 usb output: when an external hard drive is connected, there is not enough power (on a laptop everything works from 1 output), and the Y cable, respectively, has nowhere to connect, but I think this is an insignificant drawback for myself, but someone may need to have in view of.It is known in advance about the lack of smart, wi-fi, bluetooth, I do not need these functions, for me it was more important to get an excellent image and for everything to work without problems at this price, so I cannot say for myself that this is a drawback. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Advantages: A good TV for the money, smooth picture, noise (graininess) is practically absent when compared with competitors. I still have a pair of Samsung Smart 3D 100Hz (2016) - Sony shows definitely better!

Disadvantages: "Weak" sound, the issue was resolved by installing an additional audio system 2.1. Flimsy leg.

Comment: I recommend buying. It's good that this is just a TV, not a smart one.

Advantages: - Nice appearance, small frames around the screen. - Stunning screen colors. Old favorite films in 1080 resolution sparkled with new colors, and watching Game of Thrones, films from Marvel in 1080 on such a screen is better than eating chocolate-covered chocolate with liquid chocolate filling, washed down with Nutella. - I didn't check the sound, connected to a specially purchased system unit via HDMI with acoustics and a wireless mouse with a keyboard, so I still don't know if the speakers are working or not.

Disadvantages: - Video in 4K shamelessly slows down, it's impossible to watch. Apparently, the video processor cannot cope with high resolution. P1440 (2k) works fine. - The remote control is so-so. The buttons are not very comfortable. - The stand is bad, I immediately bought a swivel mount on the wall, and the stand is lying on the balcony. - After some time, when watching a movie, TV thinks that it is not being used and is going to turn off. To prevent it, you need to press any button on the remote control. Why this is happening, I did not understand.

Comment: When choosing a TV, be guided by the following formula: 1 meter from eyes to screen = 10 inches screen. I have 3.5 meters from the eyes to the screen, so 40 inches is just right, 32 would be small. The TV does not have SMART TV or other gadgets, it just shows and does it very well. The picture quality is insanely satisfied. I, being Ukrainian by blood, Russian by birth and Jewish in spirit, spent a lot of time comparing different options before buying, finally getting all the consultants of many stores in my city. And I came to the conclusion that there is simply no better TV in this price segment. Compared with well-known Korean brands and others, they have a good picture only on TV with a cost of 50 thousand and above. On TVs of competitors for a comparable price, the image seemed to me faded and insufficiently saturated. Six months - normal flight. I will give the same to my parents for their anniversary.
