Comment: I chose the car for a VERY long time and only 3 applicants remained from the budget price segment: DIOLD MED 1MF (2250 rubles), BORT 170N (1900), Vortex 160GV (1800). Board was the first to leave the list. It had the strongest vibration of any typewriter. Without load, after a few minutes of studying the included machine, an unpleasant feeling appeared in the hand, the shaft is the same. Plus, this machine was warming up more than the others, literally in 2 minutes it began to throw out quite hot air. DIOLD and Whirlwind remained. Cars are very similar in operation. Reasonable equipment, case (by the way, before the update, the case is terrible even in the promo video from Vortex, now it is neat and of better quality), the cars behaved adequately during operation, because pricing policy Whirlwind impresses me more testing, I continued with him. At this point, DIOLD dropped out. After the update, the ventilation was healed, which was previously complained about in most reviews. Now the machine hardly heats up, after about 10 minutes of operation it is barely warm. I do not observe strong smells. The machine itself has no vibration. barely noticeable near the shaft, almost disappearing after lubrication. I used silicone liquid lubricant, poured 6 cubes through the syringe needle into the hole from where the cable comes out and turned on the machine so that the lubricant spreads inside. Because I'm waiting for nozzles from an online store, only plastic was cut with stock. At high revs, plastic debris scatter in all directions, but at low revs - 2-3 - it is completely cut (this is where the adjustment from 8,000 came in handy). I liked the price-performance ratio of the device, quick access to brushes (not everyone has), not everyone has a hanging loop either. Convenient, compact and neat case, which has recesses for fixing the equipment. The optimal device both for familiarization with the class of equipment and for home use. I will not say about the professional - I did not use it for such purposes). It is worth paying attention.

Comment: An excellent engraver until 2000. Before him I had an assault one, I had much more problems with him: he roared like a grinder (yes, he cleaned and lubricated - he still roared) and had to change some nozzles, because they were not very high quality. The whirlwind is much quieter (but no need to flatter yourself, it's still an engraver, of course it makes noise), the complete attachments are of high quality, you can set low speed. The only drawback is the backlash in the shaft. Not enough to vibrate in your hand, but jewelry work cannot be done even at minimum speed. I'm not a miniaturist, so I'm fine. Thanks for the extra collet. I understand that it costs a penny, but it's still nice that you don't need to buy it.

Advantages: Overheating of the electric motor is excluded, thanks to the ventilation holes in the housing. Convenience and ease of use. Light weight.

Comment: It's amazing how such a small and affordable device can do all kinds of jobs. I use an engraver for drilling, grinding, engraving, milling. The engraver is just wonderful and neatly removes rust from the metal of the car before painting. Conveniently, the number of revolutions can be adjusted. The presence of a flexible shaft allows for repairs in hard-to-reach places.

Advantages: It is convenient to do small work, use a flexible shaft to make inscriptions, and grind, drill, milling in hard-to-reach places. There is no vibration as such. You can work for a long time and with comfort.

Comment: Convenient to store and carry in a case along with a flexible shaft and replaceable tool. The speed is infinitely variable. Some engine oil has dripped into the shaft jacket. The brushes do not spark during operation. There is no shaft beat.

Disadvantages: There is no feeling that the motor is really 160 and 30,000 rpm. Compared with Dremel 4000 - which is 175 W, Whirlwind is clearly inferior. But the price is four times less.

Comment: I bought it for 71 BYN, the best for this money. Not too hot, a compact suitcase. If you are a home craftsman and you sometimes need to trim something, cut a slot, polish, etc. - great choice.

Comment: When purchasing, there was no specific direction for use. The engraver has low weight and low vibration, which allows drilling fragile surfaces. It is easy to set up, install a flexible shaft with nozzles. For myself and my friends, I used to grind cutlery, glass on mobile phones and tablets, and used it to grind small scratches on a car.

Comment: My father got carried away in retirement ship modeling. Bought him as a gift an engraver "Whirlwind". Very easy and convenient, understandable speed control. Just for that small work. Various attachments help him with all types of work. With this engraver he drills and cleans and grinds and cuts. And due to the fact that the tool is light, he almost never gets tired and does everything for pleasure. The flexible shaft helps to work on the smallest details. And practically does not strain the counter.
