As a result, the speed of the disk increased and returned to the original speed before the data transfer. This reduction in speed does not occur with a typical breakout and zero installation. Many people write that he makes noise, buzzes - LIES! The disc is not audible in noise at all, it is indistinguishable from the 5400. The only thing is if you put your hand on the body you can feel a barely noticeable vibration (but this is so nitpicking). It heats up more than drives at 5400. At rest, the temperature is 41 degrees, under heavy load, 50-60 degrees. Another thing that was very surprising on this Black disc was the head parking timer was set to 8 seconds! Through SMART, in 1 hour, there were already 70 parking lots. The Wdidle3 utility helped, set 60 seconds. Now in 3 hours 1 parking.I thought only Green and Blue series discs are ill with this. I drove it through Victoria again, showed 4 green sectors (200 milliseconds) and 56 gray sectors (50 milliseconds), a little unpleasant, but oh well, let's see how it goes. I would like to hear a response from the WD Representative on this matter! In general, I am satisfied with the disc. Don't hesitate, buy!

So try to power it with a cord for 2 Usb ports, otherwise you can overheat the port, and the disk may sometimes refuse to start - this is if you use it in the box as an external hard drive. And if you put it directly into the laptop, then there are no problems. The disc is great.

Disadvantages: 1. In my experience of repairing computers, WD is the least likely to die, and that is the "Blue" version, let's see how long this one lasts. 2. 500 GB for gamers will not be enough.
