Comments about YAMAHA P-45

Advantages:
Great sounding, weighted keys, pressure sensitive. Many useful settings are described in the instructions. With a USB cable, you can connect the piano to a computer, or use an OTG adapter to connect to a smartphone, and learn to play with Synthesia software.
Disadvantages:
The included pedal is uncomfortable and has only two positions.
Comment:
A year after playing this piano, I suddenly realized that the volume of the sounds produced is always the same, no matter how hard you press the keys. Sadness, pain, longing, decay. I went to Yandex.Market, look at the technical specifications - however, they write that this model is sensitive to pressure. Hmm. There is an instruction! Bingo! It turns out that if you press the [GRAND PIANO / FUNCTION] button and the A2 through C3 keys at the same time, the sensitivity of the keys will increase. A2 (for a small octave) - there is no sensitivity, the game is always played at a constant volume. C3 (up to the first octave) - maximum sensitivity, the volume level varies over a very wide range from pianissimo to fortissimo. Plus, the same instructions describe how you can adjust the reverb, play two voices at once, split the keyboard for four-handed playing, transpose the pitch in semitones or with an accuracy of 0.2Hz!

Advantages:
Sound, heavy keys, like a real piano. Simple, user-friendly design of the keyboard itself, only three control buttons. You can also control it through your Iphone. Price. Pedal included. Music stand. The volume is good, picks up, the body does not rattle. Only positive emotions from playing the instrument.
Disadvantages:
Unpretentious.
Comment:
I chose between three models that differ significantly in price. P-45, P-115 and YDP-S31. I read reviews, watched videos, listened to everything. I really wanted to take in the wooden case YDP-S31. However, its price is now 72,900. The P-115 was offered to me for 48,000 with a stand for it. And I found the P-45 in the Yekaterinburg store, an official Yamaha dealer, for only 26,000 rubles. Purpose of purchase: teaching a 6-year-old daughter to play the piano. And play myself. I am an amateur musician, my instrument is a guitar. She sang for a long time in the choir at the University, spent her childhood behind the scenes of the Opera House. In the sense that I do not consider my hearing to be mediocre, the notes and sound quality are not an empty sound for me :) I strongly doubted that I could spend 48 tr and more on an instrument, and that it is really necessary. In the end, I went to the store and compared all these tools. I liked the P-115 less than the P-45. They have a difference, but not 20 tr. In addition, the P-115's bass is heavy and the highs are hammered. I noticed this even in the store, where there is not complete silence. As for the YDP-S31 - a good thing, the body is nice, the lid. I didn't like the fact that the keys are lighter than the P-45. I think this is important because on a real piano, the keys are heavy in class, just like the P-45. Because the YDP series is not suitable yet. Together with the stand and delivery, 28,200 rubles came out. I and my children play at home and are very happy. The cover is not really needed, just throwing on a beautiful blanket is quite justified from dust and very inexpensive. And it's definitely better than the MIDI keyboard + computer option. I had a good M-Audio keyboard before with semi-weighted keys. It is not suitable for training. Trouble with software for sound, without a computer anywhere. The keys are not at all realistic, but the fact that the sound comes from the speakers, and not from the instrument hits the brain. This option was terrible and I'm glad the Yamaha P-45,

Advantages:
A wonderful piano, it has all the necessary functions (it is better to print a leaflet from the instructions with the purpose of all the function keys - the instructions in pdf format are on the manufacturer's website). If you adjust the reverberation and its depth (without this setting, you cannot hear it) - the sound is practically indistinguishable from the acoustic sound. "Grand Piano" sounds very decent, in comparison with Casio, where it is very similar to a synthesizer with a metallic tinge, and this is also heard on very expensive models. For me personally, the severity of the keys is not enough - perhaps because I studied with very heavy ones, but for amateur music-making it is quite suitable, the music of modern composers sounds especially good. It seems to me that it’s not bad for teaching children, the heaviness of a "real" piano will only interfere with them at the initial stage, but at the advanced stage, without acoustics, alas, nowhere ... Want to record your compositions? It is not necessary to buy an expensive pit with recording functions - through usb everything is perfectly recorded directly into the computer, and there is no need to purchase an additional midi connector, as was the case with the p-35 earlier, the cable from the printer will come in handy here))) In general, the model worthy of purchase, without unnecessary bells and whistles and, accordingly, price markup. I supplement the review after almost a year of use: it still pleases me, I made a custom-made mdf stand at a furniture factory (it costs a penny compared to the purchased one): the sound now resonates from it and has become even more chic! Choose your headphones carefully: the good ones are a pleasure to play, while the bad ones sound like a synthesizer
Disadvantages:
The pedal feels bad, maybe a matter of habit, but it's better to buy a more advanced fc4 model for example
Comment:
I never regret buying)))

Advantages:
Sound, key sensitivity
Disadvantages:
Settings by simultaneously pressing the Function + keys one of the acoustic. Some of the acoustic keys are signed, some are not. For example, the keys that control the metronome are signed. The keys that control the key sensitivity are not. Some settings cannot be made without instructions.
Comment:
Bought my daughter (4 years old). I never played myself. But I ended up playing. My daughter, on the other hand, learned to press Function and pound all keys in a row. Some in this case start demo melodies. As a result, the sensitivity of the keys was periodically lost. In order not to open the instruction every time, I signed the keys for adjusting the sensitivity with a pencil.

Advantages:
-Price / quality -Excellent sound -Keys -Includes our own adapter!
Disadvantages:
None.
Comment:
If I bought a Steinway grand piano and received this, of course, I would be unhappy, but for 26 tr. - ideally.

Advantages:
Solid sound High quality keys
Disadvantages:
No because the device is fully consistent with the stated goals.
Comment:
At the moment, the optimal model for beginner musicians. If you want better sound, connect this unit to good acoustics.

Advantages:
-Quality samples -Quality acoustics -Excellent key mechanics
Disadvantages:
-The headphone jack is extremely inconvenient for connection.
Comment:
The sound of Yamaha is unmatched! There was an opportunity to compare with the budget tool of another available manufacturer. This is heaven and earth. From the lower speakers of Yamaha it is not very bad "blowing" at maximum volume! I think the best option for beginners. But getting into the jack with the headphone plug is sheer hell. It is in the recess at the bottom on the back! But this is such a small thing compared to the other benefits. P.S. It is much more convenient to connect headphones from the bottom side, and not through the top, as experience has shown. So from the shortcomings, this item can be removed.

Advantages:
The keys are fully weighted, very pleasant to the touch, it is a pleasure to play. Virtually indistinguishable from an acoustic piano. The sound is great, especially with headphones (Sennhiser headphones). The functionality is sufficient for the entry-level. There is a metronome, preset melodies, 10 sound options. The pedal in the kit is simple, but quite suitable, after almost a year I can't complain (pah-pah-pah). When you "grow up" you can buy a normal one, but for the entry level it is acceptable.
Disadvantages:
The right hand plays too quietly, the left (bass) drowns it out, this is a big grief from this instrument (but, fortunately, the only one). True, when playing through headphones, this is practically not felt, but it is still unpleasant. I don't know if there is such a flaw in more advanced models, but at this stage it annoys me, so I play with headphones 99% of the time.
Comment:
The term of use is 11 months. My level is 4-5 grade of a music school. If I knew about my right hand, I would add money and buy it at a higher price, but in principle I don’t regret the choice. In general, a good tool)) For the entry-level, you can't imagine better. I chose, of course, between him and Cassio 130, the sound is better with Yamaha. This won over. Recommend.

Advantages:
quality, price, functionality
Disadvantages:
noticed that some keys started to click after 2 months of use
Comment:
in the manual you can find a lot of interesting functions, do not be lazy, read
December 10, 2017, Moscow
Advantages:
The keyboard (for a year of operation - as new), the sound on good headphones, timbres, price, sampling is excellent, very pleased with the purchase. With the help of a computer, it can be turned into kawaii, steinberg, etc. (subject to a sound card for the price of a half piano)
Disadvantages:
The pedal crunched in a month, the sound through the speakers, the volume control quickly wheezed (slider), thickness (knees rest against the bottom of the instrument), there is no button for switching the speakers-headphones, the location of the headphone jack is inconvenient, there is no cover, there is no tone control - the shortcomings are simple and removable.
Comment:
Super quality / price indicator, the keyboard is incomparable (for the price), for initial training - an excellent choice, a pedal is better to buy than a normal one, a minimum of controls (extended control via keys) is both a plus and a minus (but you quickly get used to it), dust protection - cape. Those who are limited in funds - it is better to find a tool.
