Advantages:
The advantages of steam humidifiers are hygiene. In a natural moisturizer, you are always afraid that it sprays you for mold spores, and you will be tortured to wash too often. In ultrasonic - all impurities of tap water fly in the form of fine steam in the air and settle on furniture and in the lungs, and even living next to a constant source of ultrasound is not for everybody. In the steam room there is always clean, sterile steam. I specially chose, this time, the simplest design of a steam humidifier. There used to be Stadler Form Fred, it was worn out with it, in the end it leaked and began to knock out traffic jams on the network. Everything is simple in this model, it is easy to draw water, it is easy to clean it from scale.
Disadvantages:
- Insanely bright control wheel illumination. It just floods the whole room with a bright, deathly blue light. I had to make a curtain over it of a collective farm type from a dark dense fabric and scotch tape. And still, the light breaking through the gap serves as a night light in the room. - Gurgles very loudly at second speed. We use at night only on the first division. - Performance at first speed is rather low. But all the same, during the heating period, it is much better than without a humidifier at all.
Comment:
The more expensive model with a hygrostat is not needed. With its performance, for some reason, it does not need to be automatically turned off at all, it will not create too much moisture.

Advantages:
Efficiency. Of course, I would like more powerful, but the device stably keeps humidity at 40% in a room of about 30 square meters. Ease of operation. There are no "bells and whistles" in the device - everything is very simple and to the point: remove the top cover of the device; take out a container resembling a canister; unscrew the lid, fill in cold water (you can use tap water); screw and insert back into the device. Using the adjusting wheel, select one of three modes: low heat, strong heat and auto descaling. Like an electric kettle, water boils and evaporates into the surrounding space. Aromatization. On the top of the appliance there is a small pocket for aroma liquid.Pour water into it and drip essential oil. It is important not to pour liquid past it into the working container. Use as a steam inhaler. If you suffer from nasopharyngeal or skin diseases, you can use hot steam as a treatment. Leaves no dirt. Unlike ultrasonic humidifiers, this one does not leave any residue on furniture.
Disadvantages:
Noise. Not that it works loudly, but the water inside is boiling like in an electric kettle. I, used to sleeping in complete silence, experience some discomfort trying to fall asleep. Those who fall asleep easily when the TV is on will not feel any discomfort. The control wheel is brightly lit. At night, this blue ring glows almost like a flashlight. You have to stick it with a piece of paper so as not to irritate.
Comment:
A very useful thing in an apartment with central heating batteries. The batteries constantly dry the air, while the humidifier does the opposite. After using it for several days, I noticed an improvement in breathing through the nose: drops are no longer required. Also, the skin on the hands stopped cracking. I didn’t regret the money spent.
