Advantages:
Cheap, good grind after rework
Disadvantages:
Buying is like a lottery. Someone has everything out of the box perfectly, someone has to refine it.
Comment:
I was not satisfied with the grind either. It feels like buying this grinder is like a lottery. I tried to lay gaskets .. the effect is almost zero. decided to disassemble and see. Bottom line ... now you can get coffee dust)))) what is the point? We take out the receiving tray, remove the top cover and the upper adjustable millstone, naturally de-energizing the coffee grinder, remove the handles with a flat screwdriver, pry the case from below and remove it from the latches (there are no screws), remove the case and observe the picture ... The side handle rotates the gear mechanism, which on the thread raises or lowers the support ring in which the upper millstone is attached, we twist the ring to the desired position or unscrew it, to whom for what ... we collect everything back and that's it. Any grind can be achieved after light peeling. The first time I lowered the ring strongly, it turned out flour from coffee, through which the pump barely pumped water. On the second try, everything was perfect. If I helped someone, I will be glad!

Advantages:
Price. If you spend 10 minutes on finalizing a coffee grinder, then for its price it is an excellent machine. A large number of grind levels and a choice of the number of coffee portions. You can manually control the operating time, which means the portion of ground coffee.
Disadvantages:
The grind is too coarse for an espresso machine. Sometimes it is not very uniform, but only for expensive coffee grinders!
Comment:
When I read the reviews, I could not understand what kind of grinding * into dust * we are talking about, because strong dust for espresso is not suitable. When I bought it, I understood what it was about. I myself work as a barista and I know what grind should be. On this machine, the desired one will turn out only if the machine is disassembled and improved. There have already been descriptions, but I will write in my own language, as not all are clear. In fact, everything is very simple and you don't even need a video! 1) Unplug the cord from the socket !!! 2) Remove the lid from the bean container, take out the container for ground coffee 3) Remove the grind and portion adjustment knobs (take a flat screwdriver, you can gently use the flat side of the knife. Pry the knobs and they can be easily removed). 4) Turn the car over. On the sides with the same flat screwdriver, pry the plastic (thus disconnecting it from the fasteners, there are no screws there). Fasteners ONLY on the sides, you do not need to pry anywhere else. Then just push down on the back wall, helping to remove the case. 5) Turn over back. Remove the 4 screws around the bean container. 6) Next there is a round gear, and above it a gear is a grinding degree regulator. Remove 4 screws around it. Remove the regulator gear 7) Turn the round gear as you need (to reduce the grinding, counterclockwise) 8) Putting everything in the reverse order

Advantages:
Convenience and practicality, both in operation and maintenance. High quality workmanship. Not a bad design, although it may seem overly pragmatic to some. Good foolproof protection. With a constant connection to the network, nothing buzzes and does not heat up. Quite even grinding (at least for this price). Grind adjustment, although not the widest. Timer (no need to hold the button). Relatively low noise. One of the lowest prices for this type of coffee grinder.
Disadvantages:
"Out of the box" grind is coarse (it is treated, it was previously described as; I did it differently). When you remove the container, ground coffee sometimes wakes up a little (I'm not critical). Ground coffee sticks to the lid and sides of the container due to static electricity. The regulator for the number of cups is very conditional, so you shouldn't blindly trust it (again, it's not critical to me). Plastic millstones gradually wear out, due to which the degree of grinding increases (noticed after 6-7 months).
Comment:
After the purchase, the most suitable grind for espresso turned out to be only the minimal one, but I still wanted a little smaller. After about six months or a little more, I began to notice that the coffee was getting less strong and rich, and the grind, as it seemed to me, became coarser. Before the revision described earlier, everything did not reach the hands, but after a little less than a year I could not stand it, because the degree of grinding increased even more. Having removed and disassembled the upper millstone, I doubted the advisability of installing the gasket in the proposed place, so I wanted to disassemble the coffee grinder in order to come up with something else. But the coffee grinder turned out to be non-separable, and my attempt to remove the grind adjustment knob led to the fact that I broke some kind of internal stopper. Now the knob turns without restrictions, which made it possible for me to set the degree of grinding literally from flour to cereal (added about a turn in both directions). I am glad of this breakdown, and again I am satisfied with my coffee grinder even more than before, because my coffee has become strong, rich and aromatic again. In general, I consider this grinder to be a very good inexpensive one (especially if it is revised). The point was taken off for wear on the millstones and poor grinding adjustment at the factory. If you equip the millstones with ceramic working surfaces, and immediately at the factory ensure the normal adjustment of the degree of grinding, there would be no price. "Out of the box" without modifications is more suitable for a French press, and not at all suitable for a Turk. I will add to my review of September 21, 2012. Another year has passed, and the coffee grinder is working as if nothing had happened. The millstones for some reason stopped wearing out, and the degree of grinding no longer needs to be adjusted. Meanwhile, more than a dozen kilograms of coffee beans have been ground.

Advantages:
Acceptable price. Low noise compared to many of its rotary cousins. Convenient container for collecting ground coffee. Nice build. Reliability.
Disadvantages:
Even in a very fine grinding mode, it still grinds coarsely, which became a really serious problem for me, because to obtain the desired taste, it was necessary to increase the rate of ground coffee by about one and a half times.
Comment:
The inability to get the desired grind quality prompted the idea to abandon the use of this grinder, but not wanting to give up so easily, I found a very simple way to solve this problem. The removable knife is attached to the plastic base with 3 self-tapping screws that have been unscrewed. I put the knife on cardboard, the thickness of the cover of an ordinary 48-sheet notebook.I circled the inner and outer diameters with a handle and cut out a spacer, which I installed between the knives and the removable plastic base. I pierced 3 holes in the gasket at the attachment point with an awl, inserted 3 screws back and fixed the knife. Put the detachable knife back into the grinder. Set the grind adjustment to the middle position for the first start. Now I get the grind I need. I do not advise you to repeat this to people far from technology. There is nothing difficult here, but it is better to do this to people who are with equipment on YOU. Unfortunately, this is far from the first product that has to be refined. In general, I am very satisfied with the coffee grinder. I consider it a good and very useful thing in the kitchen. I recommend to all.

Advantages:
Nice design. Although the KG 89 is finished with stainless steel, somehow the KG 79 looks better without it and at the same time costs less. Rubber-coated knobs for a pleasant feel. A transparent smoky plastic lid and bowl for ground coffee complete the picture. The rubber-padded feet prevent slipping.
Disadvantages:
The container for ground coffee gradually began to grow cloudy from the inside in the place where the product escaping from the millstones gets. The surfaces are dark and dirt is clearly visible on them. The grind is too coarse even at minimum setting.
Comment:
The impression of the device is positive. I like the design, it's nice to use the controls. In the reviews, I met advice on increasing the degree of grinding by adding a spacer under the millstone, so if you really need it, this drawback can be eliminated. P.S. made a gasket - now grinds as it should.

Advantages:
Convenient, good build quality.
Disadvantages:
Grind not very fine at minimum setting.
Comment:
The grind for an espresso machine works well, for a Turk on the minimum setting it is a little coarse. It does not grind into dust for oriental coffee.

Advantages:
1. Good build quality, everything fits snugly. 2. Protection against children (until the cover and / or the hopper are not inserted properly, it will not work). 3. Nice appearance.
Disadvantages:
1. The finest grind is very coarse. I had to modify it. 2. I would like to see a smoother dosage (1 serving).
Comment:
I decided to buy such a coffee grinder after a long time using the Delonghi Caffe treviso BAR14 coffee maker. I just couldn't get a good espresso, not even a very good one - it didn't work either. And there is no foam, and the taste is not the same. I decided that it was all about ground coffee from the supermarket .... I ordered this device, bought grains. After the arrival of the coffee grinder, I immediately connected it and found that even the finest grind, which the KG 79 gives, is larger than the finished one in a pack .... :( brewed ... - the same wrong coffee. Was saddened .... But after reading the comments on Yandex (many thanks to paladin130), I took a screwdriver in my hands, unscrewed the upper grinding disc, cut a 0.5-1mm gasket out of plastic, put it under the disc, screwed everything back .. and ... WOOL !!! Through the smallest grind (not strongly rammed), the coffee maker now pushes 10 drops in just 30 seconds .... Experimentally, I counted 11 clicks of the grind regulator for myself (15 in total), and now I always use it. would have to adjust it by 1 cup, otherwise the coffee grinder can be at least 2 (this is about 1.5 times more than necessary for 1 serving of espresso).

Advantages:
1) Coffee grinder, i.e. silently grinds coffee 2) Foolproof, until you close all the lids - it does not turn on (a very useful property for ladies !!!) 2) Can be modified with a file
Disadvantages:
Out of the box, the finest grind strongly resembles chipboard sawdust
Comment:
Normal Chinese device. I put a washer made of a protective film from a mobile phone between the base of the upper millstone and the millstone itself, the grinding became much smaller. For espresso I set the grinding degree to "nine o'clock" (in the middle between medium and fine) / "At eight o'clock @ the espresso machine no longer pushes through. But this is individual. After revision, buy a package of cheap coffee and try all grinds from fine to medium PS Especially for ladies (the procedure is electrical safe): 0) Unplug the grinder from the socket !!! 1) Open the coffee hopper (empty !!!) 2) Turn the protruding handle clockwise. The millstone is in your hands 3) Unscrew 3 bolts with a Phillips screwdriver. The structure will split into 3 parts, a millstone, a base and a handle 4) Put the millstone flat side up 5) Put a film on it so that the millstone is in the middle of the film 6) Use an awl to pierce one hole in the film in the place where the hole for the bolt is in the millstone. ) Insert the bolt into the millstone so that the bolt head is on the rounded side 8) Put the film on the bolt with a punched hole so that the film adheres to the flat side of the millstone 9) Put the millstone again with the rounded side on the table (the film is fresh phu. Repeat points 6-8 two more times 10) as a result, 3 bolts are inserted into the millstones, and the film is put on these bolts with 3 holes and adjoins the flat side of the millstone 11) Using nail scissors, cut the film along the outer edge of the millstone 12) Put the base on the bolts 13) We screw the bolts into the handle 14) The film will crackle slightly. The edges are not even. It's not scary 15) Using a stationery (wallpaper) knife, cut out the "pupil" from the film inside the millstone. 16) Insert the burr back into the grinder and twist counterclockwise until you hear the whirring of the cranking mechanism

Advantages:
The build quality is quite decent, it grinds the coffee evenly, there is less noise compared to the rotary, ground coffee in specials. containers are very convenient, it is quite convenient to pour into the espresso horn of the coffee maker, one of the knives is removable, so at any time it can be cleaned, of course the price.
Disadvantages:
even the smallest grind is not suitable for a Turk. is too large, it is not very convenient to clean the container for ground coffee, ground coffee gradually pours under the grinder, because some amount remains on the ground coffee spout.
Comment:
Ideal value for money, you will not find a cheaper grinder anywhere. If not for the problems with very fine grinding - generally ideal!

Advantages:
1. Relatively quiet as possible for a coffee grinder. 2. Design and well thought out ergonomics. The coffee grinder is quite compact and fits well into the interior. With burr grinders, the container is usually attached to the outside (rather than hidden inside, like in the KG 79) and because of this some of the coffee spills out when the container with the ground coffee is separated. In the KG 79 coffee spills out minimally. 3. The container for the ground coffee fits properly inside, does not fall out. 4. Ground coffee does not become electrified when it enters the container; it adheres to the walls slightly and evenly. 5. Tenacious. I already have it for almost 3 years with almost daily use.
Disadvantages:
The minimum grind is not quite minimal, as has been written about many times. But I mostly brew in a geyser coffee maker or brew in a French press, so this is generally not critical to me. As already mentioned, it's not always convenient to get a spoonful of coffee out of a rectangular container for ground coffee, but I usually just shake the tray out into a coffee maker or French press.
Comment:
I bought this coffee grinder (April 2014) after I finally got really tired of removing a huge amount of spilled coffee after grinding in my old (also millstone) Braun KMM 30 coffee grinder. her KG 79, apparently from the old batch, she is at least three years old. There, just, the minimum grinding - almost into dust and it grinds evenly. Apparently, the old games were made more efficiently, and then they began to hack, and in the new games - how lucky. Although I am still happy with mine compared to the previous one, because it is quieter, practically does not litter during operation and the coffee does not become electrified after grinding (in the old one, when the container lid was opened immediately after grinding, some of the coffee flew upward). I also like the rectangular design. The minimum grind is coarser than my previous grind, although overall the grind is more uniform and the coffee tastes better. In general, my rating is 4+, from my point of view in terms of price-quality ratio, this coffee grinder is optimal. Recall addendum dated May 2014. It's February 2017, and the coffee grinder is still working pah-pah, I use it almost every day. I didn't finish it, the minimum grind is just enough for my home and work espresso makers.
