An ordinary device that paid for the image was aware of this, bought in China for 6300 r - a bag included.
I have been working for over 40 years in the repair and tuning of military radio stations. I tried to remember when I was disappointed that during the repair of radio equipment I had at hand not a high-precision digital multimeter, but a simple one, for example, an old TL 4, only when it was necessary to measure the capacitance of a capacitor, when the electrolytic capacitor is not working properly to judge by the deviation of the instrument arrow, you need a tester that measures the frequency at which the tested capacitor operates and converts it into a capacitance reading. Any other measurement method other than this does not guarantee that the condenser is in good working order. Then it is necessary to check it only by replacing it with a new one. I always went on a business trip with a lamp voltmeter, something like the VK7-15, because they can only measure the high-frequency voltage and judge the operation of the master oscillator, the constant voltage is usually normal even if it does not work. The main devices that cannot be dispensed with when repairing radio stations are, first of all, the GSS (checking the receiver sensitivity) on the second frequency meter, on the third oscilloscope, on the fourth sound generator, on the fifth deviation meter. I don't see anything so interesting in the Fluke 17B + digital multimeter and what distinguishes it from other less expensive ones for the better. It measures alternating voltage with a frequency not exceeding 500 Hz, what's the point in the lower limit of voltage measurement from 1mV, if it measured high-frequency voltage up to 100 kHz, then it was possible at least to measure the ripple of the output voltages of switching power supplies, alternating voltage at the output of a high-frequency transformer ... And so the overpriced Fluke 17B + multimeter ...
