Comment:

I have run out of Trixie coconut substrate - it's a disaster! Where will my crumbs live now? I had to run half the city to find at least something. Found it. A huge block of Repti-zoo Cocobricks.
My joy knew no bounds, so I didn't even read its characteristics, the method of "cooking", etc. Already at home I was a little surprised and even confused when I saw the inscription 650 L on the packaging ... 650 liters or what? I think this is a typo after all. The substrate is suitable for terrariums, fertilization ... In general, just what you need!
When buying, I somehow did not look at the price, but at home, using simple mathematical calculations, determine that it is not expensive. About 60 rubles more profitable than Trixie.
There were no suspiciously long fibers)))
There were no problems with soaking the substrate itself. Why was I so angry before? Because I sawed a block so that the snails didn't have too much substrate ... This time I decided to do everything differently: I soaked the whole block at once (it turned out a lot of substrate), took as much as I needed for the terrarium, and the rest in a bag and let lies until next month, because manufacturers recommend changing this substrate once a month.
They really liked the litter, they immediately dug into it. I did not notice a particularly unpleasant smell, on the contrary, a pleasant woody aroma!
Let me summarize. Repti-zoo Cocobricks coconut substrate is profitable (affordable price), economical (lasts for a long time), just happiness for your pet!

I buy it regularly in Auchan for snails in the style of Giant Achatina (not for a face mask, purely entertainment), then I cut it into shavings, and my daughter brings it to a state suitable for creating comfort and warmth for these, I will not say that cute creatures.

This substrate is also used as a fertilizer for plants, so now I don’t throw in what my daughter cleaned from the terrarium, but I add it to the pots to the houseplants and even take it out to the summer cottages, because there are always a lot of leftovers, but what good is it to waste?

I recommend to all snail growers and gardeners gardeners - everyone will be satisfied with this particular product, it is a pity that the packaging does not indicate which country this coconut is supplied from.

Advantages:

Loosens well, like pets, easy to handle, instructions in pictures, easy to keep clean

Disadvantages:

The briquette is heavily compressed - difficult to cut

Comment:

Before purchasing the substrate for the Achatina snails, they read what was best for them. So we confirm all the positive reviews about this substrate. High quality product. Forms a soft cushion. Snails happily bury themselves in the substrate for a day to sleep. It doesn't stain them much. Substrate particles are easily removed from the snail's leg. You can gently shake off, wash or spray with a spray and remove soil particles. Loosens easily and retains moisture evenly.
Our 7-liter terrarium takes 1/6 of a dry briquette, that is, 1 package is enough for six months if used correctly.A very economical option in comparison with moss, for example. It needs to be changed once a week or more. By the way, it is difficult to saw off exactly 1/6 part across the briquette. But it delaminates remarkably with a knife. Then it is easy to separate / break off the required amount, and store the remaining briquette in cellophane further. We soak the right amount in water in accordance with the instructions on the package. We soak in a bowl, then squeeze out excess water. The familiar snail-breeder soaks the soil right in the terrarium, spraying it with water to the desired consistency. The snails go to visit their neighbors at this time.
