Advantages:
Cutting width, price-quality ratio. reliable bearings and belt. The power cord is rubberized and does not tan in the cold.
Disadvantages:
The biggest drawback is the lack of ergonomics. If you are left-handed or you need to steer the plane on the left (with your left hand), then you cannot turn it on, since you must first press the safety button on the handle on the left side. If your fingers are not a pianist or you have to plan a timber in winter, then your index finger hardly gets through between the body and the handle ... The second drawback is the poor quality steel of the original cutting knives. A professional grinder said that on metal, where after passing the grinding wheel there should be a "mirror", I can see a trace from the tool on the knives ... low hardness of steel, correspondingly low wear resistance. Fastening knives, in a fastener store, you cannot find original screws (in length), so you have to take some longer, and on the other side, put the screw shorter .. for balance, we alternate the screws.
