Advantages: Quiet, soft, excellent road holding (puddles, ice and asphalt - the same grip everywhere).
Disadvantages: I haven't found it yet. Maybe when the temperature drops to -20, they will appear. Even the price tag of 12 rubles / wheel is considered adequate.
Comment: I was afraid to buy a non-studded shoe, but after the Contiental ContiIce Contact BD "staggered" for 1 (!!!) season, I clearly understood that buying studs for asphalt is not at least reasonable, but the maximum is moronism, because money is thrown down the drain + it is unsafe to drive a "spike" on the asphalt. I was very worried about how the Velcro would behave on the ice, I checked it on the second day after the purchase - they behave gorgeous, even the ABS did not crackle when smoothly (not to be confused with "slow") pressing the brake "to the floor". Now I am worried that they would not "get stiff" at temperatures below 15-20C (although in the current winters I think this is unlikely, well, maybe if this weather lasts for a maximum of 1-2 weeks). I bought it initially for the current St. Petersburg "winter" (dry asphalt, rain, slush, snow and porridge), so while 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Advantages: On all-wheel drive, the Quattro confidently holds the road on the hard-packed snow in a deliberately aggressive corner. Brakes on ice very confidently. Naturally not noisy. Soft but crisp. Very encouraging rubber. Compare with Hakka R2. Day and night in favor of MICHELIN.
Disadvantages: Not yet noted any
Comment: I am writing about first impressions, as soon as the first normal layer of snow covered the streets of the capital. car A4 allroad 2016, B9 body, first winter, respectively, just bought MICHELIN Pilot Alpin pa4 r18 / 245/45 tires. Basically I chose non-thorns, because according to personal observations, absolutely most of the time the wheels spend on the asphalt. Even in winter, even outside the city, and on the Moscow-SPb highway, and even in Finland. Not to mention Moscow itself. On all-wheel drive, I think the spikes are not relevant at all. The previous car is also the A4 allroad, the previous B8 body. There was Hakka R2 Velcro. And I tell you, Dear, the first impressions of MICHELIN in comparison with R2 are a complete delight. Unlike Hakka, when you feel like you have to wear bulky rubber boots, with the Alpin PA4 you feel like in a very comfortable, crisp and grippy sports shoe. I haven't ridden spikes for a long time, but when braking on ice there is a complete feeling of spikes. When cornering on the rolled snow, I involuntarily want to add gas, the car is so confidently holding. In general, a complete delight. The new ultra Quattro all-wheel drive and such up-to-date tires allow us to look forward and look forward to the long Russian winter, hoping that some snow will still fall on us.

Advantages: Full control on the road
Disadvantages: There are no principal ones.
Comment: In 2015 I bought a BMW 530xD. I go no further than the Moscow Ring Road. A couple of times I traveled outside Moscow along the M-2. I always feel confident while driving. I switched to them from Nucky R. Much better than it was. Highly recommend.

Advantages: Handling, braking, cornering, quiet
Disadvantages: Did not reveal
Comment: Hello everyone, I want to share my experience of using winter Velcro! Last fall I got a brand new CLS. Accordingly, the question arose of choosing winter tires. Based on the recommendations, feedback from friends and my own experience (driving for 14 years, traveling on different wheels) I made a choice in favor of non-studding, since I drive 90% of the time in Moscow. Stopped at MICHELIN XL PILOT ALPIN 4 255/40 R18 99V. I have been driving for 3 months, drove more than 5000 on them. I was not mistaken with the choice, the tires are very quiet, handling both on snow and on dry and wet asphalt is excellent! Brakes very well, grasps quickly. I would also like to note the passage of turns !!! For the first time I don't feel depressed when switching to winter wheels, there are no rolls, the road holding is excellent, the feeling of complete control, especially when ESP is turned off :) I am completely satisfied with the rubber, I did not reveal any shortcomings during use!

Advantages: very quiet, holds the grip well with rolled snow, does not float in puddles and slush, behaves decently in icy conditions, although not studded, perfectly fulfills sharp cornering angles
Disadvantages: due to the fact that very soft catches sharp objects
Comment: 18 radius ride the third season and I think another one will definitely hold out. After changing from summer to winter, the cabin is very quiet and the car becomes softer and more comfortable.

Advantages: Snow, asphalt, braking, side drift, acceleration.
Disadvantages: Ice, snow at temperatures warmer than -4, rolling snow at traffic lights can burrow in the snow.
Comment: And so in order: CL500 car rear-wheel drive, size 255x40 R19. Riding aggressive gas brake. City, outside the city. Term: - 1 season. Place of operation of the YNAO. 1) In frosts, colder than -8 and at speeds; - it walks in the snow like a studded one, at a speed of 180 and comfort (I don’t know I set limits to 180). - on bare areas on asphalt it is excellent, with open windows there is noise at speeds above 120 (I think from the road surface). - side drifts are not big, manageable. - excellent acceleration, better braking. 2) When the temperature is warmer than -4, there is a lot of ice, there is also snow. It is necessary to brake very early, do not accelerate into turns. 3) At temperatures above 0 to +12: - it is scary to enter a puddle above 70-80, we swim (weight of the car 2500) when braking at high speeds (from 200 km / h to 80-90 km / h) there is a small vibration (when low temperatures, it is not), the braking distance is longer. - good overclocking. 4))) I beat the discs, no hernia. I got into the hole and got a side puncture (the side is not weak, other rubber might have burst or would have torn). On a flat tire, I drove ~ 40 km up to a hundred, the rubber remained alive. Summary. The previous car was four-wheel drive on a linden tree, I was pleased. This rubber: - excellent for 4x4. - good for a quiet ride (remember that it is difficult to get under way at traffic lights). If the next car is 4x4 I will take it, but not. Rear-wheel drive and aggressive driving require studs.

Advantages: Much better than the previous model (PA3) On wet roads and through puddles beyond praise. On the snow, everything is fine too, really fast acceleration and fast deceleration.

Advantages: The quietest rubber I've ever ridden! Made in Germany!
Disadvantages: Price(
Comment: I put these tires on Mercedes E200 with AMG package !. 245/40 R18. I go about 3 weeks. Very, very quiet! Dry asphalt is great, rain is excellent. Today the snow is great. I haven't tested it on ice yet). In my opinion, the best Velcro for today !!! Ideal for Moscow.

Advantages: Excellent handling on dry and wet asphalt, quiet and durable. I practically did not feel any discomfort when moving from summer.
Disadvantages: Rubber for winter euro. In the snow, in principle, it is normal, but on the ice you need to be very careful and be friends with your head
Comment: I bought rubber for use in St. Petersburg. The last few we have not had a winter. But this year, naturally, a lot of snow fell and there were severe frosts. So the calculations did not come true a little. Stands on BMW 530d, four-wheel drive. On the whole, rather satisfied than not. I have never sat down anywhere and there have not been any emergency situations because of the tires. But again, this is more likely due to my adequate assessment of the road situation. During the winter I lived outside the city and in some places I often saw cars in ditches, including those on spikes, and more often than not all-wheel drive jeeps. Himself there went a maximum of 60-80 on ice and everything is ok. In general, the tire for the euro winter !!! and for all-wheel drive. You cannot put on an under-drive. Now, at temperatures from -5 to +5 on dry asphalt, it behaves gorgeous. When everyone starts to suffer from winter tires, I already drive like a summer one.

This guy
Advantages: Quiet and comfortable. On dry asphalt, a great option. During the winter there was one emergency braking "slipper to the floor" in a small minus - the ABS did not intervene (the car even turned on the emergency gang). On the snowy canvas - I liked it. Winter 2018/2019 in St. Petersburg was abnormally snowy. Re-gasification resulted in a controlled drift. The car always behaved predictably.
Disadvantages: There is nothing supernatural on the ice - after all, there are no thorns. This is the most dangerous situation - like dry asphalt, no snow, but the ice crust is not visible. When coasting in a smooth turn, I caught a loss of grip on the ice on all wheels - the stabilization pulled out, but in that second I managed to figure out where to cut.
Comment: BMW F30 328, four-wheel drive. 224/45/18 + 255/40/18
