For prophylaxis, the drug is prescribed: for children from 1 to 3 years old - 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of syrup (20 mg) 1 time / day; children from 3 to 7 years old - 15 ml (3 teaspoons) of syrup (30 mg) 1 time / day for 10-15 days, depending on the focus of infection. The daily dose of rimantadine should not exceed 5 mg / kg body weight. |

At the same time, as I read in the instructions, it has a triple effect - a direct antiviral effect + strengthens the immune system (not strongly stimulating the child's own powers, unlike ferons and immunostimulants) + helps to strengthen local immunity (if I understood correctly, it stimulates on the mucous membranes of the nose and oral cavity what is a protein - which reduces the ability of the virus to enter the cells of the body). I am personally opposed to direct immunostimulants. so I choose Orvirem
