SOL Mosquito reviews
Spacious and sturdy construction. It can easily accommodate six adults, and for small children it is generally a whole world. Once, in the rain, a whole company of eleven persons hid in it. Yes, it was a bit crowded, but not to say that each other was on their heads. Mosquito nets keep insects out, but the air passes through normally. Unexpectedly good wind holding. To be honest, I didn't really count on this, but if it is well fixed on pegs, then 15-20 meters per second is not a problem for him. Strong steel arcs of a decent diameter, on which the whole structure rests, "hold the blow". The tent's weight is decent, about 10 kg, but a convenient bag-cover makes it easy to carry and transport, and not particularly troublesome.
It is difficult to assemble it alone. You need at least two people, and even in this situation, assembly and disassembly takes a lot of time. Still sometimes the latches on the legs stick, but this can be solved with any knife or screwdriver in five seconds.
Our family, as well as the families of my brother and sister, try to get out into nature during the warm season. Twenty kilometers from our city there is a fairly clean river and on its bank we, more often than not, are going. The season starts in April and ends in the first half of October. And since May, the problem of the bright sun and mosquitoes appears. If you can still hide from the sun under a few trees, then mosquitoes on the river bank are a terrible attack, from which, first of all, children suffer. That's why I bought this large and reliable tent.
A voluminous, roomy awning. Tested by wind, rain and sun. If you replace the standard six pegs with increased ones (ø5 mm and up to 250 mm long), then the average wind on the sea sandy coast can withstand. Two entrances. Good protection against insects. Quickly and easily unfolds and folds. When folded it takes up little space.
In hot sunny weather soars in the tent. The sun breaks through and heats the awning material. I had to throw a light coarse calico on the roof and walls from the side of the sun, tying it at 4 corners to the frame. Short pegs. There is no lower attachment of the curtains (at least velcro) - they tremble strongly in the wind.
Not a bad solution for a summer vacation in the countryside with minor modifications.
