Comment: My first expensive acoustics. Before that I managed with Samsung and Skis. But then I decided to buy a new apartment. The most important thing is that there is no point in buying without a subwoofer !!! But with a sub .. the sound is amazing (my not tempted imagination). The main advantage besides sound is the control and connection system. Forget a bunch of remotes, forget about HDMI input numbers. All. Not necessary. The system is controlled from an android or an iPhone. Knows how to play sound from TV (through optics) or from the phone (your playlists) or from the Internet from a dozen music services unknown to me. I have mastered only one - internet radio tunelin - that's quite enough. I remembered my favorite St. Petersburg radio stations and found some interesting thematic ones (Latinos from Colombia, top 100 from the states, jazz, and radio with fairy tales for the toilet). True, the sound quality of the radio is noticeably different from the tracks from the phone or from the TV. What is important - when you turn on the TV, the sonos automatically turns on or switches to the TV sound. At the initial setup, it asks to hold down the volume button on the remote control from the TV set and in the future the volume is controlled by the remote control from the TV or from the phone - very convenient. And now the main feature of sonos: you can buy additional speakers for the playbar and arrange them around the apartment in any order. The speakers are connected to the head-mounted playbar over their own wireless channel. When registering, you prescribe a column - this is a toilet, this is a bedroom, and this is a nursery. And you can run your own audio stream on each speaker - a TV set in the hall, fairy tales in the toilet, hard rock in the nursery)) or grouped in any order. You can prescribe this is the left speaker in the bedroom, and this is the rear right speaker in the hall. This way I bought three more play 1. True, the sound quality of the separate PLAY 1 speaker rather upset me. There is no way to compare it with a portable speaker JBL or BOSE. But the preliminary feeling is that they sound worse. I had to buy PLAY 3 (they are 100 euros more expensive).

Advantages: Slim design. Doesn't look alien from TV.

Disadvantages: High and medium are good. But the bottom is weak. Affected by the lack of a subwoofer. Even an equalizer cannot change the situation. Required for the complete picture of the sub.

Comment: It makes no sense to buy it separately. There are more decent soundbars. BUT! If you have other SONOS components in you, then you understand the beauty of this system. Exactly that the soundbar can act as both acoustics for TV and a music center in a multi-room scheme. Again, a subwoofer is badly needed.

Advantages: Ease of use, cool design, great sound for movies. There are 9 speakers on the Playbar for different frequencies, in principle, the bass also works well. Especially in the movies.

Disadvantages: This is still a system not for playing music, although you can turn it on like that, but it fits perfectly for cinema, and it is hung under a TV set, which looks both visually beautiful and functional.

Comment: Sonos is a technique for those who have not yet reached audiophile)) But wants to listen to high-quality sound. Plus for those who love the convenience and usability of the system. The playbar is very easy to set up and is friendly with any mobile / tablet and so on. But still it is intended for a TV IMHO. And it is not for nothing that it has such a shape - it is hung under the TV. If you want to listen to music, then collect the entire set of Sonos - both a sub and shelf units for other rooms. Then you will be happy.

Advantages: There are no wires, you can equip the whole apartment with equipment and make a smart music house. It is controlled from a computer or from a smartphone, and at a very good signal transmission speed.

Disadvantages: As such, SONOS is a good acoustics, but still not hi-end class, and hi-fi is also better.

Comment: I liked that nothing needs to be connected anywhere during use, everything is set up once and for a long time, plus there is access to a bunch of music services. You don't have to worry about downloading from the network and connect your own audio collection to the cloud. Objectively speaking, this is, first of all, not a soundbar, and not acoustics, but a cool toy for music lovers who have not yet reached audiophiles, an opportunity to furnish a house in a fashionable and modern way.
