I will immediately answer the question that I have heard about whether the deep fryer makes French fries the same as in well-known fast food restaurants. The answer is yes and no. It depends little on the fryer itself. The raw material is important. If you fry freshly peeled potatoes, you will get regular fried potatoes). For crispy fries, you need lightly fried and frozen supermarket fries (note I shortened the times in the instructions). It was "as in ... (add optional)" that I got. I will attribute the compactness to the advantages of the deep fryer, since it is intended for use in the home kitchen, an additional advantage is the low oil consumption - as stated 1 liter (according to the instructions - in one pass, products can be immersed up to 8 times). Disclaimer - I used a special supermarket deep-frying oil (5 liter bottle labeled for deep-frying). The amount of cooking in one immersion is really small (for potatoes about 350 gr. - the oil covers the potatoes completely). This did not cause any inconvenience, since the process takes 5-6 minutes from the moment of immersion. It is not difficult for me to stand 2-3 dives at the deep fryer (15-20 minutes) (you will not stare at it, what else will you do). Now about what caused the inconvenience (I will leave the window unappreciated - a thing more aesthetic than functional, because it quickly fogs up). The bowl into which the oil is poured is non-removable, so it will not work to send it to the dishwasher, you have to wash it with handles and a sponge)). By the way, the top cover is removable, and just it together with the basket can be washed separately. In general, a matter of habit.
