Opinions about Thermaltake Core V21 CA-1D5-00S1WN-00
Yandex.Market data
Advantages:
1) Plenty of space inside. You don't have to think too much about the size of the video card and processor cooler. Drafts, again, have a place to walk 2) A 20cm fan is preinstalled in front 3) A socket with buttons (Power, Reset), indicators (Power, HDD), audio connectors and USB ports can be placed on the left, top or right - at choice 4) Front , the top and right walls are fully perforated to improve air circulation. On the bottom wall there is a perforation under the power supply unit and closer to the front of the case (this implies the installation of two 12cm fans) 5) There are dust filters: in front under the perforations (the filter itself is non-removable, but you can remove the front panel), on top and on the right - removable filters on magnets , under the power supply - a small removable filter with latches 6) In the left wall, almost in full size - a window 7) Under the mat. a cage for 3 HDDs is located on the board. 3.5-inch HDDs install without screws. You can install 2.5-inch drives, but you have to screw them on 8) On the right side there are three "slots" for SSD. They are all removable. SSDs are installed in them without screws 9) Package contents: instructions, bolts, screws, ties, washers and two pairs of slats for installing case fans (for each pair of slats you can hang 2x12cm or 2x14cm)
Disadvantages:
1) PSU mount is weird. On the one hand, it (BP) is bolted to the back wall, and on the other, it is, as it were, supported by a corner. This corner never fell into place for me. After several attempts, I threw out the corner, tk. The PSU practically lies on the bottom wall, and it is securely screwed to the back wall - it will not go anywhere :) 2) Anti-dust filters are not everywhere where they should be. On the bottom wall there is a rather large perforated area for fans, but there is no filter there, although there is a filter under the power supply nearby - strange. As far as I know, the fans are put on the air from below - it is doubly strange that there is no filter. On the back wall, above the I / O panel, there is a place to install one 12cm or 14cm fan - also without a filter. Although here it usually works for blowing, so the filter may not be needed 3) The paint on the PCI-E plugs does not "hold" very tightly.Once screwed-unscrewed the cap and the paint peeled off under the bolt 4) "Slots" SSD are problematically installed in their place if disks are first inserted into them 5) The pre-installed 20cm fan is noisy (tried to turn it off: + 3-4 degrees on the process)
Comment:
First: The body is large. I put it on the table (it does not fit on the shelf under the table, because it is 1.5 times the width of a typical tower) and it became a bit cramped. So I highly recommend taking measurements seven times before deciding to buy it. And take into account the fact that this is a "cube" - not everyone will like it. Secondly: Everything that I described above is for the "default" location of the motherboard - horizontal. Since in cross-section the body is a square, and all the walls (top, bottom, side) are removed and interchangeable - everyone decides for himself where he will have "top" and where "bottom" Well, conclusions: I have been using the body for almost three months. Satisfied). At first I was scared by the size, but I'm used to it. The horizontal arrangement of the motherboard was also unusual, but now I can't imagine how it could be otherwise - all components (except HDD and PSU) are available after removing the top cover

Advantages:
1) everything fits (CPU cooler - TR TS140 Power 175mm, VK cooler - AC Accelero Extreme 320mm) 2) good air circulation, very comfortable temperatures inside 3) dust filters help to rarely clean the insides 4) if the video card is not installed in the closest PCI CPU -E, and below (who have motherboards with full lower PCI-E x8 / x16), the fans of the video card will suck in cool room air directly through the wall with a mesh
Disadvantages:
Rather, not shortcomings, but features of operation: 1) I strongly recommend putting the left wall (next to the video card) with a grid so that the video card has access to room air 2) all the noise that is in it spreads freely throughout the room, so the case is suitable only for down-and-out silent freaks or those who are sitting in headphones and do not care, therefore, to keep it quiet: - use 120mm fans up to 800 rpm - 140mm fans use up to 600 rpm - 3.5 "xdd do not use at all, replace with the quietest ones 2.5 "xdd + ssd - select a not hot (accordingly quiet) video card or install a good alternative cooling 3) dust filters must be vacuumed 1-2 times a week with a nozzle with a long pile, otherwise the inside of the case will still get dusty 4) complete 200mm the fan cannot be silent at a runoff of 800 rpm (reobass, resistor, pwm on the motherboard to help), it normally starts from 400 rpm and at this speed it is really silent or almost inaudible 5) bright LEDs that annoy someone here, you can (suddenly, who would have thought) not be connected to the motherboard, I never connected them 6) you need to clean the wall with a window from dust with something soft (I vacuum without a nozzle, the entire window was covered with small scratches)
Comment:
I bought it almost as soon as it went on sale in 2015, during which time it had a couple of different ssd and hdd, several processors, a couple of CPU coolers, several sets of RAM and just countless number of video cards from simple GTX660-960 to hot tops like GTX470-480 and HD7970, so even they had a great life and they didn't really heat up the rest of the components, since ssd, hdd and the power supply are in the lower compartment and hot streams from the VC and the CPU are almost unaffected before them. Collecting and disassembling is a pleasure, I use it in the default combination, but on top there is a wall with a window, on the sides of the grid. I do not use a fan for blowing, only TY-147 costs for blowing. All the problems indicated in the minuses of previous reviews are solely related to lack of experience and imagination. In capable hands, this is just an ideal case, especially for such an acceptable amount.

Advantages:
High-quality metal, very convenient to assemble (all sides open) Stylish, there is a transparent window for viewing your beauty, excellent ventilation of the case.
Disadvantages:
Heavy, the nameplate on the magnet is somehow not clear, it constantly flies if you need to wipe the case or open the lid (I glued it to super glue, one drop was enough)
Comment:
Overall a great case for building almost any system. Dignified and practical, Magnetic nets are easy to remove and clean. The fan mount can be changed or removed altogether (this is very convenient for different coolers and the cooling system in general) Side and top The cover can be conveniently turned off without a screwdriver and can be put on either side. In general, a great chest! )

Advantages:
There is a lot of space inside, rather large LSS radiators are installed, it is well customizable, a large 200-mm blower fan, removable dust filters at all holes
Disadvantages:
Three-piece heatsinks won't fit, no room for cable routing, no PWM fan, limited choice of mATX boards. UPD. You cannot put coolers on top at the same time 140mm and another 140mm. For example, a 280mm LSS radiator (or two 140mm fans, in general, 140mm wide) + two 120mm fans nearby. 140 + 140 does not fit. Besides, I would not say that dust filters somehow seriously prevent dust from getting inside. For example, the window itself is covered with dust from the inside only on the way. But these are all, in fact, little things.
Comment:
Great body overall. The only thing that spoils the impression are the cables, which have nowhere to hide, and the difficulties in selecting motherboards. For myself, I left the orientation of the case as it was originally, but moved the IO and the POWER button to the opposite corner of the case.

Advantages:
Solid look, build quality and fit, ease of use.
Disadvantages:
It turned out to be more than I expected. For a mATX system, the case volume could be reduced by 20%.
Comment:
3 slots for 3.5 HDD, 3 slots for 2.5 HDD. Interchangeability of all covers, including the lower one with legs. No compartments 3.5 and 5.25 - for me this is a plus. USB 3.0 on the side panel. A large "basement" under the motherboard, all the extra power supply wires are hidden.

Advantages:
1. Organization of the internal space is simply well-behaved 2. Basket for 3.5 hards 3. Workmanship 4. Removable washable filters
Disadvantages:
1. The one who called it "compact" was clearly joking 2. This magnet neither to the village nor to the city, and its size is clearly too large
Comment:
I thought it would be less, but this did not affect further impressions. There is enough space in the case for a Boeing and a bag of nuts. There are really 4 places for 2.5-drives, but the 4th tray is apparently squeezed. The basket for 3.5 screws is excellent, although some people do not like that there are screwless trays.

Advantages:
There is plenty of room inside the case for a cooling system. Horizontal placement of the motherboard, so a large, heavy cooler can be installed on the processor without any problems. The side, top and bottom panels are easily removable, making it easy to assemble the computer. A large fan is mounted on the front panel, which is quiet in operation.
Disadvantages:
No cooling of hard drives. The dimensions are rather big. Due to its square shape, it looks like a bulky iron box. If placed on a table, it will take up a lot of space.
Comment:
A specific product designed primarily for overclocking enthusiasts who need to install advanced cooling systems for the processor and video card. But in my opinion it is not suitable for ordinary users: it is not convenient for them.
October 24, 2015, St. Petersburg
A very convenient housing in terms of installation. The only one that is a little too big for the desktop version.
November 10, 2019
Advantages:
Horizontal installation of the board, excellent ventilation, just top, one cooler is enough for blowing
Disadvantages:
Two video cards will not fit)
Comment:
I collected a couple of hot assemblies, the temperature does not rise above 70, if you add more cooling with coolers, you can seriously overclock the system
April 19, 2019, St. Petersburg
Advantages:
The case for mining .... very, I repeat, very good ventilation Excellent access to all components in the mode of not only assembly but also operation Possibility to install two full-format video cards (a projection on the side allows this) Thick metal .. By rearranging the walls, you can put the case on its side (video cards like it in terms of temperature) undocumented feature 200 mm fan can be placed directly on the perforated cover and installed from above ....
Disadvantages:
It is inconvenient in transportation ... It is not clear why the wall with a piece of plexiglass was made ... for show-offs it looks like. But the case is not pontorezny. Theoretically, it is sharpened, including under the CBO ... but to find holes that are suitable for attaching the pump to the screws .. I did not find it, but drill .. low class, unclean work
Comment:
The only case where a perforated wall can be placed on the side, providing unhindered air access to the video card. And with the ability to put a 200 mm fan on top, the design turns out to be unique for powerful video cards, with a high heat flow It seems like you can put one on one ... I have two ... but the design turns out to be unreliable ... it looks like a whatnot, and so strives to fall In general, if there is space horizontally (on the table or on the floor), take it ... I recommend another question, only for the mainboard, not higher than microATX I will update the review in a year. Looking at the case for the first time, you are surprised at the large number of holes, holes, a large amount of empty space in front ... why did all the developers do this. Now it is clear that it was planned to install the Thermalteik cooling system. But clearly something did not grow together. Because there are a lot of pictures on the site .... but, all the cooling goes only through the processor. Although, in our time, the main heat flows are organized by the video card. I did not find high-quality pictures and videos, where a rational SVO is mounted, in this case, serving a video card and a processor, for a video card. Obvious difficulties with the pump, or rather its reservoir, it is hard to see that the standard holes are not used. The reservoir is molded in all directions. It looks like there are no regular places for installing a pump with a bulb together (or separately). Developers began to think in this direction but abandoned. Why am I, SVO from a thermal tea, three-five times more expensive than the body itself. The idea of installing a cooling radiator on the front wall (with the dismantling of a 200 mm fan) seems very tempting, but .... it is necessary to measure it, check it ... I have no desire for that. I recommend SVO enthusiasts to think about where and how to install a pump with a processor and how to fix it, and the possibility of using the empty space along the front of the case to install an SVO radiator. With a high degree of probability, it is necessary to install with rigid pipes and swivel fittings. Dare
