Opinions about TP-LINK TL-WN822N
Yandex.Market data
Advantages:
Work speed. Design. Connection reliability. Adequate price. Everything works great for me. The distance to the router is about 5 meters, through a concrete wall, and I don't even raise the antennas. The adapter lies on top of the system unit, and the unit is on the table.
Disadvantages:
More precisely nitpicking. As written, it would be better to have a USB input on the back.
Comment:
There was a problem with the drivers for Windows 8 (x64). I decided simply, threw the Internet over the cable, and Windows Update itself found a driver for TP-Link. Showed up as Atheros AR7015. Drivers can also be found in the internet by typing "Atheros AR7015" in the search.

Advantages:
- Availability of USB cable. More maneuvers to find the best signal. - Works great on 802.11n, the network does not fall off, the work is stable. There was a problem, but about this in the shortcomings and comments. :) - The presence of external antennas. Twist and twirl and sooner or later you will find the best location) - Does not heat up. - Well, actually a low price.
Disadvantages:
The only drawback is the clumsy drivers. Very clumsy. More details in the comment, especially for owners of ver. 3.0, which constantly falls off the network under loads on 802.11n
Comment:
Became the proud owner of this adapter (ver. 3). After the first hour of use, problems started: under load, the network fell off every minute or two. The speed reaches 6-8 Mbytes / sec and .. that's it. The yellow triangle on the state of the wi-fi indicator in the tray and without reconnecting in any way. It happened that at 3-4 Mb / s it bounced. Having suffered with him for 2-3 hours, I thought it was to carry back to the store. Fortunately, I found a comment where it was advised to install drivers for the Realtek RTL8192CU chipset (in versions 3.0 and 4, in 1 - 2 Atheros). At this point, the whole problem is that there is no firewood on the official website of Realtek, so you have to download it on a third-party resource. Moderators do not skip links, so you have to google. At the moment, the current version is 1024.9.1219.2013, I have not found a newer one. I put it on and since then the flight is normal for almost 3 weeks at any load and without shutdown (literally works 24/7). I hope everything will continue to be the same. :)

Advantages:
One big advantage is that it performs its functions as stated by the manufacturer.
Disadvantages:
Very lightweight. Under the weight of the wire, he lay wherever he could, until he was planted on 2-sided tape.
Comment:
I have a powerful modern router at the front door (I didn't want to pull the wires, where they punched the hole, they hung it there). To the far room there are 3 reinforced concrete walls, a wardrobe with all kinds of metal fittings and, among other things, a huge number of other intersecting networks. Before my room, a 100 Mbit signal was absorbed at the output to 1.2 - 4.5 Mbit. And sometimes he was even torn. Tried a bunch of whistles of this kind, but only this one saved. As a result, the losses are no more than 15-20%. The best that I have ever used among adapters.

Advantages:
Good nets, inexpensive
Disadvantages:
did not work with drivers from the manufacturer's website
Comment:
I bought TL-WN851ND instead of the internal PCI - it caught the signal by 30% even with an external antenna, and it also disappeared from time to time. This one catches much better - through 2 concrete walls. But it did not work to turn it on and start working - the drivers downloaded from the tp-link website did not work, and the device continued to hang in the device manager as an unidentified one. Win7 system, x64. The installation of drivers on the chip from the realtek website helped - it all worked right away. I have revision v3, installed drivers on the Realtek RTL8192CU chipset. Can someone help in solving problems. I bet 4 for dancing with tambourines.

Advantages:
Works well, does not crash. From the router 8 meters away, through two concrete walls, a confident reception of 300 mbps. Compact, stylish, two antennas.
Disadvantages:
No complaints yet.
Comment:
I also advise other users to choose the Tp-link tl-wn822n adapter.

Advantages:
quite powerful, unlike others, it sees networks that others cannot. comfortable, beautiful
Disadvantages:
in the second version of the adapter, the sensitivity is much lower and is not supported by all software. I advise you to take ver 1.
Comment:
Experience with this device for more than a year (ver 1), stood on the balcony all winter. Ideal for wardriving (ver 1). When buying, I advise you to look at the underside of the adapter, the product version, the second version disappointed ...

Advantages:
1. Speed! I did not make accurate measurements, but the torrents are pumping as if they were connected via a wire. (Ie, my goal to achieve 100 megabits over the air is fulfilled. The adapter built into the laptop could not handle more than 30 megabits, although it was also 802.11n) 2. Reception !! The adapter built into the laptop Windows showed 3 sticks, with this adapter the reception is at full, the connection speed is 300 Mbps) 3. It does not seem to be buggy.
Disadvantages:
1. Could have provided a wall mount just in case 2. Well, it is not small (but this is inevitable for the sake of speed and reception. 3. Green LED that constantly blinks (depicting activity, i.e. blinks at different speeds depending on use ), a bright infection, and even the plastic of the case is translucent, in short at night it looks disgusting ... I think sooner or later I will paste over it with a black film, or I'll come up with something else
Comment:
I bought it for 700r. 100% satisfied. Let there be no 5GHz (although my router also does not know how to broadcast them), but my goal is to reject the cable without losing speed, and even sitting behind 2 concrete walls I achieved! Torrents download at a speed of 10.6MB / sec (with a retrecker, of course) There were no problems with firewood - Vin7 identified it immediately as Atheros, but just in case, I merged my own firewood from the TP-link website and rolled them. I don't watch Glukov. The adapter is warm, but not critical, I think ... In general, = an excellent option for those who have a standard laptop adapter, the speed is far from the 802.11n standard, and whose access point is far away and the reception is small. This thing will really save you! (By the way, for the sake of strengthening the coverage area, I bought 8 dBi tp-link antennas instead of the standard 2 or 3 dBi - this purchase turned out to be useless - the signal at the control point changed by 2 dBm, but there was no speed increase. and remained unsure. It's a pity.)

Advantages:
Wire included, antennas, good price and easy to install
Disadvantages:
Still, there are small shoals for wine10
Comment:
I began to look for a wi-fi adapter to replace the dw-140 (the old one with a portable stand included). And I also have 10 wines. I read reviews and comments on the forums about this adapter, that version 3 with win10 does not work, but the 4th works and began to look for the 4th version. She is not in Moscow yet. Everywhere 3rd. I took 3yu, why am I not a "geek" or something. In general, after a short dances with a tambourine, here is a list of actions so that everything works clearly at 10k and there are no problems: 1) you need to have an Internet on your computer (I took a friend's adapter and, being connected to the Internet, connected a TP link). This will allow Windows to set the firewood standards for 10k. 2) put the utility either from disk or off. site can be taken. This will fix "no internet access" after every reboot and unplugging the adapter after idle. 3) Optional. Sometimes point 2 does not solve the problem of Internet disappearance after an idle time, then in the Network and Sharing Center -> change adapter parameters -> right-click on our TP link (it will be called a wireless network (Realtek RTL8192CU)) -> properties -> configure- > select the power management tab -> uncheck "allow this device to be turned off to save energy" -> OK. After that, everything works as expected, the torrents are downloaded, the adapter keeps the network. Thanks to Sergey and Maxim from the reviews for tips and solutions.

Advantages:
Used in conjunction with TP-LINK TL-WR841ND for 3 months. The signal is strong, there are no failures. The adapter does not ask for anything, does not heat up, is not noticeable.
Disadvantages:
Sometimes, when you turn on the computer, the adapter does not turn on, and the control LED on the case does not light up either. It starts when you juggle the USB cable. I guess my old computer is to blame, not the adapter.
Comment:
Adapter version 2. No problem. I recommend to buy.

Advantages:
Nice design, very sensitive. Price.
Disadvantages:
The cable to the USB is very hard, it doesn't run out for a week.
Comment:
Was purchased as a replacement for D-link DWA-140, which could not cope with signal processing from the router. The task was to organize reception of a signal at 30 meters, through five concrete walls. D-link did not always have a reception, the download speed is very slow and not always. TP-LINK TL-WN822N scores "good", the signal is stable and the speed has increased.
