We've been thinking about a garden shredder for a long time. The accumulating branches can, of course, be burned. But it’s a shame to burn the raw material for a great, durable mulch. The only obstacle: a good shredder is not cheap.
The Viking GE 140 L chopper caught my eye by accident. There were much fewer reviews about it on the Internet than about other models of this company.
We were attracted by the following features:
First, it belongs to the category of low noise.
Secondly, grinding is carried out using a gear wheel. We thought it was more durable than knives.
Thirdly, there is a built-in box made of transparent plastic for 60 liters. You don't have to fence a collective farm, attach a wheelbarrow ... It can also be very windy here. I would not like to see any small faction scattered around the district.
During transportation, the shredder is turned over and lowered into this box, and the entire structure takes up almost half the space.
If the chopping mechanism becomes clogged, the gear starts to rotate in the opposite direction.
It should be noted that there is no cord included (there is a recessed plug on the body).
