Advantages: I bought a Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II for travel to replace the Canon EOS 600D, which is trite to carry on itself. Who is ready for a high price and very high quality of images - take it, you will not regret it! The main advantage for me is its small size and almost a complete replacement for a large DSLR when traveling. Also very useful is the ability to recharge from USB power banks (which almost everyone already carries with them to recharge smartphones and tablets). I don't even plan to buy a spare battery. The aperture is really impressive - night photos from the hand are beyond praise. There is a cool horizontal mark on the screen - you can immediately see if the horizon is overwhelmed. After the trip and a series of 400 shots, only 3 - 4 wanted to correct the horizon as a result.
Disadvantages: The horizontal mark, which turns from red to green, is not always visible when shooting on a bright sunny day. Developers !, it would be nice if it didn't just change color to green, but at the same time became 2 times thicker, for example.
Comment: Fine

Advantages: The camera is as steep as the slopes of Elbrus! ))) I myself use a 550D DSLR, so there is something to compare with. Sharp, precise, tons of settings that, when applied correctly and desired, really make for great photos. Dignity also, for me, shooting RAW, HDR, exposure compensation, built-in electronic level. There are a lot of creative modes that can still be adjusted to taste. Another advantage is the presence of a neutral gray filter of varying degrees of density. The device is light, comfortable, it is a little unusual in the hand, but in time I think everything will be fine. Who needs a travel option - take it without hesitation.
Disadvantages: Small battery capacity, which immediately suggests buying a spare. Well, the price, of course, in my opinion, is somewhat overpriced.

Advantages: Compactness, weight, image quality are not worse than DSLRs. Customizable control ring. Pop-up flash. There is a bunch of hardware settings inside. Indeed, a pocket camera, with a confirmed application for a premium camera. Fresh release year, latest processor. Shoots high quality video.
Disadvantages: It is inconvenient to take pictures with one hand. Decorative plastic overlays (whether they are needed) or rather inexpensive plastic. I would think of a protective lens cap, there is none. When transferring files from the device to a PC via Wi-fi, a large consumption of AB. I photographed for two hours, then I began to transfer the photo to a PC via Wi-fi and the battery went to zero. Again, wireless transfer does not transfer video files to a PC; video files can be transferred via a cord.
Comment: I have a Canon EOS 600D (too heavy for travel without a car) and a Canon Pwershot A420 (outdated). To replace them, I bought the PowerShot G9 X Mark II. When I opened the box, the first impression was disappointment. It is small, tiny, will fit into a shirt pocket and does not pull away. But when I took them off and looked at the photographs, delight and joy. You can say about him: "The spool is small, but expensive, okay cut, tightly sewn." I definitely recommend using it.

Advantages: Excellent photo quality with a small camera size and weight.
Disadvantages: Suddenly, it turned out that when the powerbank was connected, the camera did not want to shoot. Those. even if you have a charger in your pocket, you will not be able to take photos indefinitely: either shooting or charging
Comment: No, of course, this is not a replacement for a DSLR. The quality of the photos is the highest, if we talk about the soap dish, but it does not reach the level of "mirror". Actually, it is difficult to compete if your matrix is 4 times smaller in area than that of a crop. But this little girl really takes decent indoor shots without a flash, and a set of digital goodies adds to the joy. And, most importantly, she is always with her and does not drag out her pocket.

Advantages: Small size with great possibilities. The device has everything you need for operational shooting - compactness, a good lens, a large matrix, a wide range of settings. The photo quality is simply gorgeous.
Disadvantages: For me, there is only one drawback - a small battery capacity.
Comment: I needed a compact camera for shooting on the road, so that it was always at hand. I chose from several models of different brands, but in the end I took this one and as it turned out I was not mistaken in my choice. My hand is not big, so I don't feel any inconvenience. In addition, the camera has a RAW format, which is very important for me, because in this format the photos are simply excellent, and in post-processing, if anything can be corrected. In general, I am completely satisfied with the device.

Advantages: Small, very smart! I shot while walking, just holding the camera in my hand. Not a single smear, everything is clear and sharp. Focuses instantly. Someone wrote that he washes around the edges, did not notice this. The picture is just super sharp and juicy. The aperture of the lens is sufficient under any shooting conditions, I never raised ISO above 1600. And of course WiFi with the ability to control from your smartphone!
Disadvantages: No 4k video ... and no fucking needs it)))
Comment: At first I was upset that the pictures are soapy at 100 magnification. But when I switched to RAW, I was surprised how much everything has changed! His JPEG is not the best, it squeezes too much. And when he uploads pictures to a smartphone, he compresses them a little more (you can remove them in the settings). So shoot RAW and you will be happy!

Advantages: + BSI-sensor (with back illumination) 20MP + sensor size 1 "+ touch screen + small dimensions and weight + shoots in RAW + there is a memory for saving the user mode + long battery life + you can buy a native Kenon case - mega-convenient
Disadvantages: - not wide enough angle (min EGF 28mm) - not the fastest lens (F2-4.9) - not the most convenient control (in comparison with DSLR) - it is difficult to find a protective film on the screen - you will have to cut
Comment: At the time of purchase, it was the smallest camera with a 1 "sensor. BSI technology gives a significant advantage in light sensitivity, which is especially important at such a small size. Up to ISO 800 shoots decently. Small grain is present in RAW, but detail is not affected. For optimal sharpness it is necessary to add 1 stop to the aperture. In macro mode, you can get very good results even from a wide angle. Control is not the most convenient in comparison with DSLR (you could have positioned the buttons in the right places and add the wheel), but having adjusted it once and saved in the custom settings mode, you can always quickly prepare the camera for shooting and immediately use it. I considered the older model G7X2, but because of the flip-up screen it is thicker and more expensive, so I did not choose it. The same model in its native Kenon case fits comfortably in a standard A5 bag, or in a jacket pocket, without protruding or protruding unnecessarily.I use the device always when there is no large th camera. Having such a camera, there is always the opportunity to capture a moment at times better than a phone can. The quality is on par with a standard APS-C camera in a pocket-sized size!

Advantages: After HTC10 everything seems to me to be one continuous plus) Made in Japan. That would seem to be a trifle, but how nice - the assembly is at the highest level, everything is in its place, there is no backlash or creaks anywhere. Optics - excellent fast zoom, Although, of course, the long end will be 4.9 at best, but optical stabilization allows you to take longer shutter speeds when shooting handheld. The optics are generally ideal for this matrix, although I have nothing to compare with. The fast card and the camera itself give a good burst shooting speed
Disadvantages: The flash does not deflect in any way, but I would like to direct it up - not very convenient. The grip is too small for my hand, but I ordered a cover from the Chinese, I hope he will correct the situation. The default strap is somehow completely free) But do not throw it away since it already exists Synchronization with a smartphone is extremely inconvenient, it is easier to throw it from a strap on a computer
Comment: I forcibly limited the maximum ISO to 1600, otherwise the automatics like to pick up, and this is not very good for noise comes out An interesting point - the camera does have a GPS module. Yes, although it is not in the technical specifications. Or I don't know what it is - all the photos are geotagged and pretty accurate. I can't say anything more about this moment

Advantages: All of the above in other reviews. Great travel camera. A trade-off between size, camera weight and image quality.
Disadvantages: Difficulty transferring images to a computer via Wi-fi. This is especially true for Mac OS. We have to act in the old old-fashioned way - through a lace. Maybe someone can tell you a better option?
Comment: A very good compact travel camera. Except for the slight disadvantage mentioned above.
