Makita BO5031 reviews
Yandex.Market data
Advantages:
- build quality (Made In USA!) - speed controller - case (for model BO5031K) - secure attachment of the sanding sheet - ergonomics - moderate noise and vibration - the power button is protected from dust - the dust collector can be conveniently removed and replaced
Disadvantages:
not very significant: - a cord would be at least three meters - solved by an extension cord - a dust collector would be better with a microfilter, but a rag also retains about 85% of dust
Comment:
I chose between this model and the Bosch 125-1 AE, which is clearly more popular in sales. However, in reviews on our and foreign sites, complaints about the poor grip of the platform's Velcro are constantly flashing. Otherwise, Bosch is excellent, judging by the reviews. Since the fixation of the grinding wheels is critical for the grinder, I did not risk it and took Makita - she has Velcro in her teeth. I do not agree with the opinion of dashitmanfoto about the uselessness of the speed regulator. This is an extremely useful thing. Firstly, it is quite possible to grind quietly at medium speed, keeping noise to a minimum. Secondly, even in the passport, the purpose of the regulator is spelled out: high revolutions - for primary grinding, medium - for finishing, low - for polishing. The case is very convenient and useful. It's compact - not like Bosch's - a travel suitcase. The quality of materials and workmanship is excellent, no cheap and smelly Chinese plastics. In general, worth the money. Recommend.

Advantages:
Powerful enough and not noisy Speed control Sits comfortably in the hand and is lightweight, if necessary, you can work even all day, the motor does not overheat, a long power cord
Disadvantages:
A cloth bag does not guarantee complete tightness and absence of dust, therefore, long-term work in a closed room is better with a respirator. To this you begin to get used to a consumable is not justified expensive for a branded tool.
Comment:
The machine is worth its money, it is pleasant to work with it, it is better not to save on skins (to change it in time) so the sole will last longer and of course do not overdo it with pressure on the machine, this can also entail material costs. I am satisfied with the tool, I recommend it, a real professional tool!

Advantages:
Super car. They killed her while sanding the walls (in collaboration with a Karcher vacuum cleaner), then took her to the workshop, where I have been grinding trees for 3 years. I have already changed 3 plates, but the apparatus does not care. Surprising, to be honest.
Comment:
I do not suffer from love for a certain brand, there is only a little bit. A decent machine, take it, you won't regret it.

Advantages:
This is my first grinder and therefore there is nothing to compare with! :) At first I used it clumsily, it turned out badly to shoot the material, it seemed ineffective, but now I got used to it, I grind it quickly, from the pros: -the surface is perfectly flat clean -expenditure - penny -work not very loud -vibration is insignificant for the hand -small size, weight and a comfortable grip - speed regulator, dubious but plus - excellent grip with Velcro
Disadvantages:
Of the minuses: -no feedback on the speed under load, i.e. It is simply impossible to work with a machine at 1 speed, it almost stops from the slightest load, so there is practically nothing to the speed regulator, I work almost always at 5 speeds. If anyone is puzzled by the choice of whether it is worth overpaying for the speed regulator, then I will immediately say that it is not worth it - the collection container, unlike the photo, was a rag one, through which the machine sucks in dust and squeezes it out. the dust removal system as a whole turns out to be 3 with a minus, if the cleanliness around is not important, then you can not consider this a disadvantage - I would still like a case under it, otherwise it comes in a small box into which you can hardly push it with your container and documentation , about the expense generally keep quiet, what to do with it, think for yourself)) Well, for now, perhaps all of the minuses.
Comment:
In general, I work relatively recently for her, from the impressions, perhaps only positive ones !!!! :) I like the device and it's worth the money! So far I have only used it for processing chipboard when creating a subwoofer, aligned the joints, and brought everything to perfection! I couldn't have done it without her! :) I tried to matte plexiglass, the surface is matted evenly.

Advantages:
- quiet, - light, - comfortable grip with both one and two hands, - minimal vibration, - excellent Velcro in general, even my wife uses it with pleasure and a good result for her restoration work
Disadvantages:
- the dust collector is not fastened tightly and not entirely reliably: it flew off several times, catching on something during operation - a short wire - no case or at least a rag case
Comment:
Worth the money. I took it and did not regret it

Advantages:
Reliable, lightweight.
Disadvantages:
A dust collector at high speeds does not help much. No case.
Comment:
The machine is reliable, works like a clock and with wood and plaster. Lightweight.
