Advantages: Lightweight, sharp, good backlighting
Disadvantages: appearance, HA - not without that
Comment: I shoot mostly when traveling, there are not so many places for dust-free changing of lenses, so I try to use one universal one. I was looking for a long time to replace the "golden" width of 14-24 because, although the lens is able to make masterpieces without my intervention, it is very heavy and inconvenient for shooting in fields-forests. I tried a lot of things and just by chance came across THIS with the cherished letters ED. There are practically no reviews on the Internet about him, so I took a chance and made the right decision. Although, when it was brought, I wanted to immediately return it - outwardly, this is some kind of plastic craft. One piece of iron, a pair of glasses, the rest is all made of plastic. Any other lens from Nikon looks more solid. But we are not checkers, but to go ... The very first tests showed - it seems I have found my universal lens! Very decent sharpness across the entire field of the frame, not bad aperture, in the backlight it shoots with dignity, better than many. Light! (important to the girls) The hood turns in the opposite direction. On the shortcomings - I compare it with 14-24, not the very last device in terms of quality, so: the colors are a little not expressive b) in the shadows, he cannot really see something, so to speak, based on its aperture ratio. c) Chromatic aberrations are very strong, which, however, is not surprising. In general, it is a great thing, it matches the price. Apparently for such rogue as I, Nikon saved on materials, laying all the costs for glass. Hopefully the flimsy construction won't fall apart in six months :)

Advantages: The lens is very light, AF is quite fast, it is very small in itself, sharpness in the open is excellent, the price is not high!
Disadvantages: You can only find fault with his drawing, blurring if the subject is more than 1 meter is not very artistic (compared to sigma 35art), the picture is not so plastic or something. If you compare these lenses, you will see for yourself.
Comment: I have been using it for the third year and I am very pleased with the purchase!

Advantages: I have been using this glass on the 7100 for a year already - I like it very much, it has naturalized like a glove. He always hits the target, there are practically no misses (only due to the curvature of the arms), in contrast to 35 F2 and dx 35 F1.8. The price tag certainly bites, but the quality pleases, sharp and contrasting pictures even at open aperture. Only positive emotions. Favorite travel glass.
Disadvantages: Chromatite is a little, but easily treated in the editor

Advantages: light, sharp, even across the field, fast
Disadvantages: Made in China, the plastic body seems to be empty inside, requires precise AF eyeliner
Comment: I shoot on D800E, where everything wider than 50 mm simply does not fit such a resolution. I took it as a versatile landscape (travel). The optics are decent, but, nevertheless, 50 1.8 Ai-S is sharper, I have a kind of standard of sharpness. And in terms of plastic, half is better. The best aperture is still 5.6 - 8, not 2.8 - 4, the GIp is too small. On the open hole, purple / purple fringes (color fringes), although for a subject in the interior will do. And, of course, the madenchina, plastic, especially the front block with a bayonet and thread for filters, upsets. Design, in general, so-so. Not a fetish.

Advantages: Sharp, small HA, sufficient aperture, Not expensive, but not cheap either.
Disadvantages: Plastic. Slow focus in low (indoor) light conditions, and thus confirms focus before it actually does.
Comment: The lens is good, there are no problems with unhurried shooting, focusing does not keep pace with slightly more dynamic objects, while 50 / 1.4 G focuses faster.

Advantages: Very sharp with open and all over the field, fast, good drawing.
Disadvantages: Didn't find it.
Comment: The lens is actually underrated. Many people generally think that there is only 35 / 1.8 DX and do not know about it. And he really deserves close attention. Full frame focusing is very convenient, in my case, I think it will replace my beloved 50 / 1.4 G. Despite its modest appearance and the absence of a golden ring, the lens belongs to Nikon's professional series. There is information about this on the NPS page.

Advantages: very sharp, even across the field and resistant to diaphragm. Planar scheme, internal focusing, moisture protection.
Disadvantages: Slightly long in size, dry in plastic, made in China.
Comment: I was pleasantly surprised by his picture on a strongly clamped aperture 16. It remains very sharp in principle and very sharp for a fast apochromat. All thanks to the planar modified scheme. + glass draws out the picture on the open one, although at 1.8 - 2 there is a lilac border around the edges. Drier than old nikkors, but alas, the number is the number.

Advantages: Aperture, beautiful bokeh
Disadvantages: Everything is expensive now
Comment: Great lens. Beautiful picture, high-aperture, beautifully blurs the background. On my Nikon d5200, taking into account the crop factor, I use it as a portrait lens. I took it specially for full-frame cameras. I plan to switch to fullframe in the future. Great lens
