I was considering replacing the LG GPAD 8.3, I needed a tablet more for reading PDF, the Internet, sometimes watching YouTube, the diagonal is only 8 inches. When choosing, I looked at the quality of the screen for reading, autonomy and speed. I started the choice with the top-end huawei mediapad m3, ipad mini, the screen is beautiful, but not suitable for reading, the eyes get tired quickly, the performance is high, but it is also not particularly needed for everyday purposes, as a result, I accidentally stumbled upon this Samsung, looked at it, I liked the screen for reading, the tablet is comfortable in my hands, only after using FullHD the screen resolution of 1280x800 was embarrassing (marketers, of course, tried), but I twisted it, tried to read, it's quite normal, but the battery will drain more slowly, plus an average processor, which is enough for everyday purposes more than, in comparison with the Xiaomi mi5s phone, no stupid things have been noticed. Sometimes watching a video is also okay, the picture is certainly different from FullHD and the matrix itself is a little pale, but there is nothing super critical. Overall, a decent mid-budget device that works and works quite well

Comment: We bought it for my daughter as the first tablet. Norm plays games, watches video tutorials on YouTube, takes pictures not in pixels. We bought in Eldorado under the "low price" program - in comparison with competitors, so it turned out 14k.

Everything works, nothing is buggy. To date, no flaws have been found. It is comfortable in the hand. Everyone here worries that the buttons are not backlit. Not critical. I got used to it in about a week, but nothing distracts in the dark. Only the screen is lit. Speakers - the speakers on all tablets are weak. For music, there is a wireless speaker and headphones. For video, the sound is normal. In short - an excellent tablet for its price.

Advantages: Excellent build, metal back cover. Nice screen. Large battery, holds a charge for a long time. USB Type C connector with USB-OTG support and the function of charging external devices. Supports WiFi 5GHz, AptX codec in bluetooth, exFAT file system for memory cards and external drives. It can work as a smartphone, there is a speaker for conversations and a second microphone for noise canceling. Not a bad camera for a tablet with flash and autofocus. There is a children's mode and special game functions that allow you to adjust the performance in games, record the gameplay, and block the touch buttons in the game.

Disadvantages: There is no automatic screen brightness adjustment. No fingerprint sensor. There is no proximity sensor, although the screen is blocked during a conversation. Not the most powerful hardware. Can't serve coffee to bed. :)

Comment: The tablet, in my opinion, is excellent, I did not find any significant shortcomings in work for several days of use. Well, I have already described the advantages. The price is perhaps a little overpriced, given the not the most productive filling, but there are practically no competitors with the same set of useful functions. An excellent tablet, so far it suits me completely.

Advantages: Cost)) ... well, in general, everyone likes it, compared to the iPad mini a little thicker, but this is not critical. And so - this dvais is good for everyone! This is the same phone, increased in size. It is convenient to read e-books, it is convenient to write messages in instant messengers and social networks, watch movies, chat on Skype. now, this is my favorite toy! I bought the same for my father - he is not happy!

Before this tablet was SM-T285 (previous model) - no problems at all. I wanted a bigger screen and support for wifi 5 Hertz. SM-T385 fully meets my needs. Nothing creaks, updated, mine is 8.1. The aluminum back cover is cool because the previous one had a plastic one and was warmed up. Finally, USB C. Unlike the competition, the battery charge is displayed correctly. Although 8 inches, the battery eats little. With my use, a 60% charge (from the factory) lasted two days. Covers or not, or expensive, so we order on the well-known Internet site. One drawback is that the touch buttons are not visible. When I read the reviews before buying, I did not understand why many people write about it, because the sm-t285 also has touch buttons without backlighting, but they are already visible. I thought that on sm-t385 the same, but it turned out that they were not visible at all. Why couldn't they be made as visible as on sm-t285?
