Advantages: The metal body minimizes unwanted interference. The front panel is made of aluminum. A lot of connectors including a USB-B input that allows you to pass audio data with a frequency of up to 24 bit 192 kHz. Proven chip from Wolfson. Relatively affordable price.
Disadvantages: Powered by external power supply, which is not good for sound. Doesn't support DSD. The budget for the internal strapping of the chip.
Comment: At the time of purchasing this DAC, the only sources I had were Denon dvd-1940 and Pioneer bdp-150 players. The players were connected by analogy to the integrated amplifier Denon PMA 720. Naturally, the DACs built into the players were used for the digital-to-analog conversion. When the players were connected digitally to an external Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 DAC and then analogously to an amplifier, it received an increase in sound quality, this was especially noticeable in the clarity and transparency of high frequencies and low frequencies, which simply envelop. Plus, it became possible to connect a laptop or computer to a DAC to play music and made it possible to stream music in high quality.

Advantages: Sound - bass, design, workmanship, brand price
Disadvantages: Sometimes, due to voltage drops, the device loses the software algorithm, that is, you press the power button, it blinks and goes out, that's what you need to do; Unplug the power adapter from the socket Press the two power buttons and select the inputs Plug the power adapter into the outlet Hold both keys for 10 seconds and then release them Press the input selection key to select the frequency 88 Press the power button When the device starts up, leave the operating parameters
Comment: I have had this DAC for more than seven years and everything in it suits me, both the design and how it is made and the sound quality, but after reading a bunch of negative reviews about it, I decided to find a replacement for it, so to speak, something more serious, I began to study the characteristics what and how it works there, how it is converted, how and where the signal is sent, how the signal is processed, the sampling rate, filtering, in general, a bunch, a bunch of all sorts of nuances, from which it is formed in the first place; the breadth of the reproduced signal, and for me the low-frequency range is very important, since I listen to music with a raised bottom, almost to the point of feeling the presence of a subwoofer, and secondly, in fact, the quality of the sound itself, in general I will not torment I compared my DAC with Arcam rDac- yes, the sound quality seemed to me somehow softer or something, enveloping, without sharpness, the second was azur DacMagic from the same Cambridge Audio whose sound, as it seemed to me, was identical to my 100th, but what really surprised me was this then in both cases the bass in the two tested devices was really less, and whoever said or wrote what, it is difficult to argue with practice, I will not delve into the quality and structure of the bass, because there are some simplifications on electronic music, compared to with live instruments, as a result Arcam rDac was returned to the seller, and azur was put up for sale! Musical preference, melodic trance, gao, psi, listening through a computer, system; mac mini 2014, Pioneer SA-9500II amplifier, JBL-E60 acoustics, Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 250om headphones! If your musical preferences are similar to mine, feel free to use this DAC, you will not regret it, although the price of it was lifted by villains 20 tons!

Advantages: The sound of my system seemed to be balanced. Inputs: 2 coaxial, 1 optical, 1usb.
Disadvantages: for this money no
Comment: My system has the following components: Cambrudge Audio Azur 650A amplifier, Cambridge Audio Azur 351C player. With them now is my new Cambridge Audio Dacmagic 100 DAC. This DAC has taken sound to new heights. All genres of music are played with good detail, balanced sound, everything in its place. Nuances can be corrected with cables. My favorite Daxx R99 cable complemented the system perfectly by replacing the Tara labs Prism 33i. I recommend buying for a similar system. The sound is decent.
