Advantages: Sound, convenience.
Disadvantages: possible and cheaper
Comment: Great DAC. I use Aplle Music, Foobar, JRiver on Seenhieser HD650 headphones for listening from beech. Built-in good ear enhancer, open ears tight. The RCA signal goes to the Onkio TX8555 stereo receiver. Which year is fine with everything. Automatically turns off after half an hour of inactivity (or not, you can turn it off)

Advantages: Nice sound. Compactness.
Disadvantages: His level outgrew very quickly.
Comment: After repairing the breakdown under warranty, I sold it and I do not regret it, the price and quality are a little overpriced

Advantages: Feedback on the updated version of UD-301X. Plays tasty. Bought for ONKYO A800.
Disadvantages: Suitable for fairly dark headphones. Plays very poorly with Grado 325.
Comment: When buying, compared with Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus and Chord Hugo. On the contrary, they are quite dark and play well with Grado.

Advantages: Balanced sound across the entire spectrum, bass control
Disadvantages: Someone may not have enough bass in comparison with analogs. Lacks auto wake up function
Comment: Heard several options in this price range. Compared with the options on wolfson (both on the 1st chip and double mono), saber, and an analogue on the more expensive burr brown, but with 1 chip and a pulse unit from project. Of all the 301s I liked the most: smooth sound without accents on any frequency range. Compared to the wolfson in cambridge, the sound of the 301 seems to be more analogous, especially the bass register - an instant response to fade and fade without tails and hum (which cannot be said about wolfson cambridge). Even the fight against indoor mods seemed now not so necessary. But in general, don't expect a wow effect: just a smooth, good DAC. I use it in conjunction with a microcomputer on linux and mpd. Nafig upsampling is not needed, the rest works without problems, incl. dsd is actually out of the box. The main thing is not to be smart with the mpd config, because The DAC perfectly recognizes any incoming stream without resampling, dop and other nonsense.
