There is sound every time you turn on the computer. The card is detected, the drivers are standing, as if robbing, but there is no sound. Reboot - and all the rules. At this price, you don't expect this kind of jambs. Creative rarely releases updates for firewood and firmware, the feeling that they are hammered into everything that is not in the spotlight at the moment UPD! the problem was solved after connecting to port 3.0, but there is not a word about it in the description of the sound

I bought it for testing. I was interested in working on Android and Mac OS. All functions are only available on Windows, as the configuration program is only for this OS. I was particularly interested in working in direct mode. I liked the recording and playback, I ran it on the RMAA, everything is ok there. They say that it is warming up: personally, I do not get very hot.

I use it with HyperX Cloud Core headphones, I took it specifically for watching movies, then for games and music. In movies, the sound is excellent, actually the same in The Witcher 3 - the built-in presets are enough for this. Very convenient control of presets with a button on the body (up to 3 presets). The music sounds good, maybe it's not so much about the map as about the headset itself. With an impedance of 60 Ohm, these headphones work at 75% - already very good. loudly. The compact card has a pleasant red illumination of the logo on the top cover and the volume control, the bottom surface is soft touch, the design is in one word valid. During operation, it gets warm from below. I am absolutely satisfied with the card.

Advantages:
Great sound, convenient operation, takes up little space. Excellent, well thought-out software. No glitches or noises. Several interesting game presets. It is a pleasure to watch music and movies. For games, the persets had to be adjusted a little for yourself, but this is not a drawback.
Disadvantages:
The sound is very strong when the speakers are connected to Line Out. No hardware button to switch audio output source. You have to pull out the headphones and select the source programmatically.
Comment:
The model is perfect for those who listen to music, movies and games with headphones. I would not recommend to connect speakers.

I bought it because the hackintosh is bad with all sorts of non-built-in sound (PCI, PCIE). bought and was not disappointed. the sound quality is excellent. just turn off the profile immediately, the 1st is turned on by default. by pressing the corresponding button, the profiles only change, and there are three of them. to turn off the profile, hold down the same button until the profile indication goes out. then the sound will be right! otherwise I thought at first that I bought some garbage. Profiles are needed more for games, but not for music.

Good sound for a small external sonic. Low price in some stores (took for $ 75 on Amazon). Ability to use the card with a bunch of different devices - computer, laptop, player, phone, tablet, game consoles.
Disadvantages:
The upper metal plate (decorative) began to recede in the first month of use. There are not enough inputs to connect 5.1 directly.
Comment:
In this sound quality hardware. I listen to 250 ohm headphones at 10% volume, the amplifier is good. To play music, I recommend disabling all enhancements and switching the audio to direct mode, listening through foobar in asio mode. For multiplayer shooters in headphones, the scout mode software works very well, rustles and footsteps are amplified, loud sounds are muffled, and even through stereo-> 7.1 mode, it works like a cheat. The rest of the improvements and settings, in my opinion, turn the sound into a mess, or you need to fine-tune the profile for each situation and application. I also liked the work of voiceFX - you can process your voice through the microphone with various effects, for example, mow under the gnome. It's fun with these settings to run in multiplayer.
