Advantages:
Clean, detailed sound. USB input, two coaxial and three optical inputs, which expands the number of connected equipment. 5 filters and 3 settings for sound material delivery. The ability to listen to DSD music (high quality with high resolution) without translation into LPSM. Included is a disk with a driver for audio output via ASIO. Made in Austria. Fast support service.
Disadvantages:
The external power supply unit which was made in China seemed flimsy.) But it can be easily changed to another one, for example from a laptop. In February 2019, I updated the DAC firmware and installed a new driver from the official website. Clicks appeared in the sound. The support service promptly sent the old firmware.
Comment:
I don't really have anything to compare with, I took it to replace the broken Dynavox dac-307 DAC from a lower price category. The sound, in comparison with him, has become much cleaner and more detailed. In familiar and studied compositions, unfamiliar sounds and instruments appeared. The sound became somehow more airy or something, not clamped. I don't put the top five only because of the raw firmware, which was posted on the official website.
