Comment: The wife has long wanted a pocket printer (there was a sad experience with an inkjet MFP and CISS, ever-dried heads) so that a photo could be printed quickly and anywhere without problems. This unit allows all this in full, so I decided to take it. I warn you right away - there are no consumables in the kit, take it for 108 sheets at once. Otherwise, you will come home and just look at it)). The cost of 1 photo (10x15) is on average 25 rubles, if there are 4 photos on a sheet (for magnets) it is even cheaper. I did not notice much difference from previous generations, but a difference of several hundred does not matter, let it be the latest version. There will be changes, I will add. Enjoy the shopping! UPD for 09.2018 I continue to use the device not only at home, but I also took another one to work. We print instant photos at exhibitions, corporate parties, etc. In general, the first problems come out - longitudinal stripes (do the guides scratch inside?). Some are visible when you look at the light, but one is especially deep, even scratching the paint .. I doubt that I will advise anyone. Testing further. I switched to a cheaper version of Canon RP-108 kits. Tried Cactus but it got more expensive and came close to the price of the original. There is no sense, especially in the non-original the quality is not so hot.

Today (11/27/2018) we bought this printer additionally bought cactus cp-108 cartridges for it, when printing on the photo in the middle there were 7 points at an equal distance along the entire length of the photo (along, exactly, where the photo is moving the guide) and the points are very deep, you can see them even from a distance. This happened with the other 3 photographs. I called the technical support of canon, they answered that it is not allowed to use cartridges not certified by the company itself, they say they do not guarantee quality, that this is because of these cartridges and advised to buy official cp-108 cartridges. On the same day (11/27/2018) I went and bought a branded cartridge, which is recommended on the canon website. And gentlemen! This is outrageous, the same dots appeared on the branded cartridges (photos)! When printing, you can clearly hear the screeching noise when passing the photo paper. I am writing a supplement, I called technical support on 11/28/2018, once again pointed out that even with original cartridges, dots appear. The response of support was simply struck by the absurdity, are you ready to hear it? The reason for the appearance of dots even on the original cartridges is radio interference arising from electricity sources in the apartment! Radio interference, Karl! And not mechanical damage in the guides ... Comrades from Canon, if radio interference is the fault of such points, then where is the foil cap included with the printer ?! One of these days I'll take it to the service center. If they refuse, I will sue. Advantages: printer for housewives :) everything is simple: took it out of the box, turned it on, it works. pluses - quality, speed, silence consumables are wonderfully thought out - sachets of 18 sheets of paper, and a warning - don't put another sheet in the cassette!

Disadvantages: Expensive consumables: (as soon as you start wanting strange things, it behaves unexpectedly, for example, it will not connect to your home wifi if it is denied access to the Internet.

Comment: surprise when you first print - suddenly (!) you need free space behind the printer (there is a warning in the manual, but who reads it), because prints in 4 passes and drives the paper back and forth without kinking. a very short manual in all languages ​​is included, a detailed one is downloaded from the site, and drivers for a PC are also installed (automatically installed, but some curves). unlike inkjet machines, the technology is afraid of dust, so maximum accuracy during work and storage! and the device has everything for this. and finally learn: cactus consumables are evil!

Disadvantages: We expected more - perhaps our equipment does not have such a matrix resolution for clearer pictures, but with the iphone 7 it prints pictures with a lot of noise and if the photo looks sufficiently illuminated from the screen, then it is very dark on the photo itself and the digital mirror also touches the pictures from the Canon camera Color faces when printing photos from the aforementioned phone are almost always deathly pale (we seem to be not zombies: D) The cost of components is just insane - 1. there is no photo paper and a cartridge in the kit, if you take a set of the original for 108 pictures (paper and two cartridges), two and a half will come out minimum 2, if you suddenly want to transport or store the printer not in the box - pay more than two and a half for a bag. In our opinion, this is overkill. 3. Want to print stickers - the plastic tray for this is about seventeen hundred ..

Comment: The set includes the very minimum - a wire for connecting to an outlet, a tray for printing postcards (a usual photo 10 * 15) and the printer itself. The cartridge is enough for exactly 54 sheets and no less. 5) No steam with cleaning nozzles. 6) Convenient software for any OS + software for mobile phones. Among the inconveniences that I noted for myself: 1) Does not save all print settings. Those. the "skin enhancement" parameter has to be turned on manually every time, while the type of gloss is remembered. 2) When the power is turned off, forgets everything. 3) After the 54th print, you need to change the cartridge, but he is silent. It informs about this only at the beginning of printing the 55th sheet. Which is extremely inconvenient. 4) The high cost of original consumables and special stages. One print costs about 25 rubles. Non-original CS-KP108 allows you to make an imprint of about 16 rubles, but I learned about them a little later. To the heap I took two more sets of non-original. The bag costs like a helicopter. The battery costs half the printer. Ali helps out :) 5) Low display resolution. The quality of the resulting print is simply impossible to determine. This device was taken for one purpose: printing photographs for 3x4 documents. Specifically on the Selphy CP 1300, the ID Photo Print option is responsible for this. What can I say in general? Print speed and quality are excellent. Initially, I considered printing via wifi from a camera, but there is no booster yet, I decided to save a charge and print from a memory card. There is a possibility of cropping directly on the printer, there are possibilities of color improvement, and "skin improvement", but this option must be used carefully, because in some cases, she makes a porcelain smudged face. Otherwise, the device met my expectations by 146%. On average, it takes 3 minutes to print one 10x15 sheet with 6 3x4 photos: take a photo, see that everything is ok, move the card to the printer, press OK a couple of times and after 60 seconds we get a print. The client is satisfied.

Comment: If we would have modified the canon print program with the ability to edit photos before printing (color rendition, brightness, contrast, scale, cropping) and view exactly the scale of the picture that the printer will give. Disadvantages: The software (for a mobile OS) could be more functional: it connects to the LAN and at the same time does not see the network drive, nothing at all on the LAN. Local and cloud storage only. Extremely meager setting of the print itself. For this I take off one point.

Comment: Now on the market of such printers, there is no choice (especially in this price category). I was completely satisfied with the printer, although the reviews made me worry. I am not a specialist in photo printing (and in photos too =), I think this printer is also designed for an unassuming user. WIFI without 5Hz band support? Ahem. OK. And only the "g" of the standard? This is some kind of nonsense, "Canon", in our time. This moment strained specifically: the 2Hz range is thoroughly "fouled" by the neighbors, what will happen to the data transfer? But, surprisingly, no problem! Therefore, the minus is relative. Obviously, the cost per page will be more expensive than the cost of printing in a photo lab. The minus is also relative (this is for all printers of this type). Efficiency and print quality cover this shortcoming for me. For this I bought and was very pleased with the choice. Recommend!

The only thing is that it is better to color correct the picture before printing it in the editor on a PC or smartphone - the photos are more vivid (I shot without a flash in the evening, I had to pull the exposure and white balance). A good tool. In skilled hands, the photos are excellent! Processed images from DSLRs are so fire! I can't say yet about reliability, time will tell.
