From what has changed and is noticeable by eye. 1 - Availability of WiFi. It was for this function that I overpaid a couple of thousand and bought it instead of 800. The issue with 2 - It is no longer necessary to enter any codes when refueling and accordingly reset the counters. That is, Epson has become closer to the consumer in this regard and does not need to bother with third-party programs. 3 - There is no ink shutoff valve, which is needed for transportation. the view has become better, but apparently there will be difficulties if it needs to be transported 4 - The ability to monitor the remaining ink through the driver has been disabled. This is related to point 2. The countdown of paint consumption on the L800 starts from the moment the code is entered. Enter the code, the printer considers that it has 100% filling and then counts down at the software level. Because this feature was removed, the printer no longer knows how much ink it has, because we can refill it at any time. 5 - No sample paper. In terms of photo quality - on good paper with high density everything is ok. On the budget, traces of the feed roller may remain and the overall quality may suffer. Comment: I have studied the photo printer market for a very long time and meticulously. Having extensive experience as a photographer and good technology, I wanted to buy a printer that would meet the following requirements: high print quality, no problems with consumables, Wi-Fi. For a long time I dreamed of Canon Pixma PRO100s. The high quality of the press is withered, incl. b / w. It looks very nice, the cost is relatively reasonable, A3 +, Wi-Fi. Everything would be great, but cartridges cannot be found even on the Internet with a strong desire. And the consumption there feels wild (cartridge volume: cartridge cost). Then my dreams led me to the giant Epson L1800. Everything would be fine, but this huge beast is able to connect only via USB -> being located in the zone of a stationary computer, it would occupy the entire desktop. And the cost leaves much to be desired. I saw no reason to overpay exactly 2 times only for A3. I would like everything the same as in this printer, only with the ability to print in A3 format (it is reasonable to add not 100% of the cost to the price, as in the case of the L1800, but 50-70% maximum).To sum up: This is probably the only printer made for humans. It doesn't matter for what purpose. Even for family needs, even for professional ones. There are simply no analogues on the market.

Plus, from the Epson company I received as a gift two packs of paper of 20 sheets of Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper 10x15 cm and a cool Epson USB flash drive 16 GB. in the form of CISS. I installed the software and connected it to the computer via a USB cable (not available) very quickly. It took exactly 20 minutes to pump the ink as it is written in the instructions. time. I had to tinker a bit with the WiFi connection, the paper instructions do not describe this, the electronic help describes the connection methods, but I saw it only later, when I had already set everything up with the help of the World Wide Web. I tried to print some photos on Cactus photo paper, which was left over from the old printer. The result, as for me, is great, without any profiles or settings. The only thing that I set in the settings was the quality of the paper set by Photo Paper Glossy. I don't have any tracks in the photo from the stars (as some wrote), in the form of small dots from the gears, but even if they were, this is not considered a malfunction and a drawback, they were present on my old Canon printer and did not bother me at all ... On plain A4 paper it prints perfectly, nothing gets wet and does not spread. The contours are very clear, when printing in normal quality, it prints 2 identical pictures in 3 seconds, which is called a flight. Everyone liked the printer at home, I recommend it for purchase.

Comment: There are indeed a lot of functions for a photo printer, inkjet printing technology, printing of ordinary photos, borderless photos, you can still print on disks. And attention - you can connect directly from the tablet and print images from there. It is very convenient and fast. You don't care at all. Saves time, space, money. When printed on native paper, the colors are simply stunning and accurate. This is not an advertisement for Epson's paper, just no matter how I tried on the pawnshop, this result did not work (the contrast is not the same). Yes, it is cheaper, so you will have to continue dreaming of printing on the original paper ...

Advantages: Good, fast, cheap prints, prints on discs, no tap, no need to enter ink codes

Disadvantages: l800 is better than l805 in that when, when printing, suddenly the printer did not take the paper, for l800 you just press the "continue" button, and for l805 you need to cancel print jobs, press the button on the printer to reset the paper, and when it spits out the paper, you need to re send your document to print!
