Before buying, I read a bunch of reviews and saw no less reviews where they talked about finickyness to headphones, but nothing like this seemed to me at all, the player played perfectly with all the ears in the arsenal: urbanfun, ostry kc06a, Superlux HD-668B. Also, many criticized it for being too "stuffed" with any unnecessary functionality, such as controlling the player through the phone via bluetooth - for me personally it became very convenient, as I listen to music in the car, via AUX, and in this case, control the player through the phone is very conveniently. In the mode of an external DAC from the PC he sang well, although sometimes it disappeared, apparently the drivers are in conflict. I listened to Hidizs AP100, there is more bass in it, but there is a place for its buzz, the HF ears were also often cut; for my taste, cayin n3 is smoother and more pleasant in terms of sound.

Comment: I use 5 months with 1More Triple Driver Hybrid plugs. Very loud in HdB mode, so no amplifier is needed. I connected it to a Fiio A3 amplifier, so it seemed that without it the player plays more beautifully, Fiio cuts the detail a little and makes the bass drier. In general, the high and medium are just excellent, everything is extremely detailed and clean. Low ones are not bad either, the bass is tightly collected, but not hard, I would rather call it thoroughbred or something :)) Just an excellent battery and autonomy. Supports bluetooth APTX. Solid cover included. Ergonomics is quite normal, no frills. Given its cost, the name Cain is quite justified, beyond competition ...

Advantages: Great sound, volume reserve is large! Mainly used with Swing EC1 headphones. Compact, lightweight, user-friendly menu and control. Can be used as an external sound card, supports USB OTG and bluetooth apt-x! Ideal quality-functionality / price ratio!

Comment: I chose between Fiio x1 II and Cayin N3, I liked the latter more.

Everything does not stick out exactly where. The bass is moderate. In short, for this price, this is a good option. 3. The battery is not perfect but 12 hours is enough. 4.With update 2.1 there is a good function HiByMusic this application for android and ios connects via bluetooth the phone finds our player and you can control the player with your phone so as not to reach it on the road using your phone you can stop songs, increase or decrease the volume, change or to skip the song, in short, control the player using your phone. Perhaps something else will be added. 5.This is a big plus to the bundle, a protective film is already glued on it and in the kit they gave another spare in case of emergency, plus the bundle includes a cover for the player, the quality is not the best, but it is worth wearing it, in my opinion, it is silicone, in short, the bundle is good.

Disadvantages: They are still there. 1. This is a sensor and buttons, I did not like them at all, the sensor does not immediately respond or sometimes you press one it does another, let's say I want to go back and it turns on the track. This is a problem either with a cheap sensor or due to the fact that this sensor is small and not convenient for thumbs, so I use the application that I wrote about above, the problem is immediately solved. The buttons are plastic and not very nice saved on this. 2. Charging cable usb type c. The problem is that it is defective and the problem is not only me, there are many such people on the forums with such a problem, the cable does not charge it or sometimes does not even see the PC, I decided not to return the player, I just bought another cable and the whole problem was solved.

Comment: Into the software account. I cannot single out it as an advantage, but I also cannot single out it as a disadvantage. The pros are that there is a Russian language, there are many interesting features, different settings, and everything is intuitive and not bad, but there are also disadvantages of the menu, for example, sometimes it jams sometimes the player reboots, the menu, though understandable, but the fonts in Russian are horrible. In general, if you solve the problem with the software, then it will be an ideal player for your money. I put 5 points with an advance on the fact that the software will be finished for the better in the future.

Advantages: Definitely - the price, good design, good sound, functionality, equipment. The body is made of metal, so far not a single scratch, although I am very careful in this regard, but still. I thought. that over time there will be scratches around the connectors, but no, everything is like on the first day of purchase. Nice warm sound, with everything - assertive where you need it, and soft when you need it. It plays different genres well. This player shakes multi-driver headphones well at a time when other competitors are choking.

Disadvantages: All the same, touch buttons are not the most convenient option. I hope that in the future they will file a firmware with the ability to turn on the backlight at least on the white dividers between the buttons, it will be at least a little easier. I have not found information about the battery capacity anywhere (but it can live up to 18-19 hours without recharging, which is very good). A rather mediocre cable included, you will be transferring files from your computer forever.

Comment: If you are choosing the first hi-res player and at the same time budget, then this option is for you. My opinion: this kid makes everyone from his price segment up to 12 thousand rubles. Yes, there is Hi-FiMan, which was discontinued, the sound there is more interesting, but not much.The sound is definitely better than iPhones (beyond the 8th, unfortunately I did not listen) and many even flagship smartphones. But smartphones with the declared high sound quality, it is less emotional and warm, it gives more in dry numbers. Very good functionality, if you think that it will not be useful to you - maybe so. But when it comes in handy, you will be pleasantly surprised that this baby has good and relevant for 2019. features. For example, what I myself use is the audio output through the type-C connector, we connect it to modern headphones, for example, B&W PX and here the DSD format is only for battle (it is not transmitted via Bluetooth). Once again, if this is your first step into Hi-Res sound with a budget of $ 100, then this device has no competitors at the moment. Here you can also experiment with formats, types of headphones, balanced output (via type-C) and analog or generally true wireless.

I found what I was looking for for a long time, although I dreamed of cheaper, but before that I spent 3p and threw it away. This sounds great for blue. And you can delete unnecessary tracks, I can clean albums while listening.

Advantages: supports many formats. a small "bar" with a weight of 100 grams is convenient to carry in a jeans pocket and listen to music. The main buttons are located on the side of the device - volume, stop, on / off. next track. After 2 months I blindly use them. A small but informative screen - displays everything you need. Touch buttons - there are 4 of them - cause an ambiguous opinion, since they are almost nearby and small "icons". But you can get used to them too. Not buggy. Lots of settings and functions - I haven't used some yet. The main goal is to listen to music while traveling (home-work-home) or on vacation. I consider the energy reserve quite good - I have enough for a week (1.5-2 hours a day).

Disadvantages: I think they do not exist, except for the touch buttons located nearby. the charging cable is non-standard (in terms of the connector), by the way, it takes a long time to charge. Cover !!!!! Hug and cry! It would be better if its manufacturers did not put it at all, so as not to disgrace. This product made of translucent silicone is poor and not aesthetic. On the other hand, it protects your device from bumps, chips and scratches. I'm thinking of buying another one - for sure there are covers for it.

Comment: I use Fiio F9 with headphones - of course, in a coupe, this affects the overall positive result. A card up to 256 GB is the same plus, a user-friendly interface - it is easy and quick to "upload" music of different formats. This is my first player of this format and with such a "filling" - did not disappoint! recommend for beginner music listeners.

Advantages: This is Sound. When set up correctly, the sound is powerful and clear. Even with different headphones. Especially gorgeous with SHURE SRH 1540 .. And even more so with the amplifier FIIO Q1 MARK ll
