Comment: I chose between this model and the similar Sony NW-WS625. The difference in the availability of the 625 remote control in the form of a ring on your finger (in the pool does not work) and 16 GB of memory (here 4 GB). The player is definitely not for audiophiles, the sound in the ear cushions for the pool (with the player two sets, some simple, others for swimming) is dull, there is no bass, there is not enough volume. Of course, it is much better with ordinary nozzles, but it is not convenient to swap them and you can lose them. I do not change, I use it exclusively in the pool. For those who lack volume, I recommend the mp3gain program, which can increase the volume of the mp3 package. It gets much better.

I don’t know why this aspect of the design is never evaluated in the reviews, but it is for this reason that I had to sell the Jabra Elite Sport - in order to achieve a good sound, you have to stick them very deeply into your ear, where they cannot hold, and select the earcups very precisely. And I'm not the only one - Amazon reviews contain exactly the same claims. I had the same problem with Koss plugs. These Sony ears do not have this problem at all - the sound is full even without pressing them deeply, and it almost does not depend on the position in the ear.

Disadvantages: Of the features (I won't call it a disadvantage) - due to the fact that the sound channel itself is sealed, on land there are unusual sensations - the headphones sit in your ear like a cork in a bottle.The tightness of the system is felt :) With ordinary plugs, this is not, and it is not very comfortable. But it is probably inevitable. Very bad microphone in headset mode. It is enough only to say that you are alive :) Unsuitable for conversation, the interlocutor does not understand every second word, and there is no noise reduction at all - the wind and passing cars can be heard well.

Comment: Now for the use in the pool. First, there is no need to try to evaluate the sound quality with watertight swim bands by testing them on land. Everything changes in the pool, there is no question of any sound quality at all :) The water really gurgles loudly, is poured into the ears, etc. Tried swimming with regular sushi rubber bands. It is completely excluded (if we are talking about full swimming with breathing in water). Already after 5-10 minutes, despite the fact that it seemed that the ears were sitting very tightly and tightly, the water completely fills the sound channel, and the sound disappears almost completely, periodically breaking through at turns in one ear or in the other. Horror :) With sealed rubber bands - really, too quiet sound for the pool. The ingenious advice from another review helped - to pierce the membranes! I pierced it with a toothpick so that the hole was slightly larger. Now the sound is loud enough and of high quality (approximately halfway between the land and unpunched rubber bands), there is no problem with pouring water into the canal. Hurrah! Finally enjoying the music in the pool and considering switching to audiobooks. About the location under the hat. It didn't work out. I do not have a super-tight hat, but even it presses so hard on the protruding parts of the headphones that, firstly, the buttons are spontaneously pressed, and secondly, the headphones are too distorted in my ears, nothing is heard. So you have to bend the hat slightly to keep the ears open.

Very cool headphones, the sound is clear and loud. If you listen through bluetooth - in the phone's player you can adjust the frequencies that the listener likes, with the existing repertoire in the device's memory - unfortunately this will not be possible.
