Opinions from the Celestron Outland X 8x42

Advantages:
Lightweight, fits comfortably in one hand, lens caps are attached to the body, good picture.
Disadvantages:
Harsh in adjustments ... although this is probably for an amateur. There is a little lack of eye relief ... so those who have eyes that are not deeply set may have a small floating optical spot and have to move the binoculars slightly away from the eyes.
Comment:
Definitely one of the leaders in this price range, weight and multiplicity. I was looking for a compact model for a long time. An adult can look with one hand. Convenient even for children. The adjustment of the eye relief turned out to be close to me. If you press the binoculars to your eyes with a little effort, then dark floating optical spots appear. But in 5 minutes I got the hang of it and this is not a disadvantage. I bought it after a long search for the required characteristics. I took it without feeling it ..... via the Internet and was worried that it would disappoint. I can recommend the model with the proviso that you need to get used to it, as well as to the glasses, and then it will become a reliable companion. I have a lot of experience working with optics and for those who value weight, compactness and a good viewing angle, it will be better to find it difficult for that kind of money. 5 stars are not enough to evaluate ..... out of 10 points I will give 8

Advantages:
Excellent picture with sharpness for 2/3 of the image field, with a minimum of chromatism, which is noticeable only closer to the edge. High-quality lens and eyepiece covers made of pleasant soft rubber that adhere well and do not fall off. The sharpness adjustment wheel rotates smoothly and gently, effortlessly - there is a hope that this unit will remain comfortable to use even in cold weather. The binoculars have internal focusing - when adjusting the sharpness, all lenses move inside the binoculars, because the manufacturer claims it is waterproof and nitrogen-filled. The measured weight of the binoculars is 630 grams, like those of expensive brands with a price of $ 300-400.
Disadvantages:
Of the minuses, the eye relief does not match the adjustments of the eyecups: even with their maximum extension, it becomes clear that they need to be extended more, otherwise blackouts appear - black circles / spots on the image. I found a way out of this situation: the eyecups are always folded, I watch without them - and I don't see blackouts. There are also difficulties with glare from point light sources: when observing the moon or when the light from street lamps hits, glare becomes noticeable. These binoculars have distortion, and can be seen closer to the edge of the image, and in nature it does not strike the eye, but in the city it is very noticeable: even vertical lines become curved. I would also like to note a simple carrying case, which is impossible to quickly get out of binoculars, tk.the case is zipped, and you have to literally squeeze the binoculars.
Comment:
My opinion: uniquely cheap binoculars with excellent pictures, excellent mechanics, lightweight and easy to observe. For such a price, he can be forgiven for all the shortcomings, in detail I mentioned above. I didn't expect to see such high-quality optics in such inexpensive binoculars! I definitely recommend buying, especially if Nikon Prostaff does not have enough funds, but the picture you want is similar.

Advantages:
The bag with a zipper, with a belt is very small and not burdensome. The binoculars themselves are narrower than the usual ones on porro prisms, but a little longer. For women and children, it will not pull off their hands so much because it weighs less than a similar other system. The lens covers are rubber and are attached. to the case, but if they interfere, they can be removed. Ocular-paired can be attached to the neck strap. In the kit there is a special napkin for cleaning the optics.
Disadvantages:
On the handbag, plastic carabiners, the strap itself could have been more subtle and with a shoulder pad it is not clear why to save on this ...
Comment:
Compared to 8x42 counterparts on porro prisms, binoculars are smaller and lighter, which is important when walking when every gram is important. And it costs only a couple of thousand more than them. Plus, they promise moisture resistance, which is important in nature.
