Advantages:
Compact, the mechanics are very similar to the unpretentious HP LaserJet P1102. The CF244A cartridge can be refilled, but it is better to immediately change the imaging drum, since the native one is not very suitable for refilling with a medium-budget toner. There are almost no drums on sale, just as there is no problem to adapt the standard 1005 for it by breaking the plastic sleeve from the original. The toner is suitable universal from the same 1005. If to level out the shortcomings, then a good work on the errors from HP, which began to capitally lose the market after the release of M104 / M132 on separate consumables.
Disadvantages:
Simplified 1,000-print cartridge. In addition, it is glued, after refueling, blank sheets are possible when printing, since the drive does not always enter the sleeve the first time. The drum unit comes without a gear, although the design is very similar to the 285A / 283A. In general, this is not so all and scary, the main thing is to install a filled cartridge without distortions.

For home and light-duty office printing, this is a good option with the possibility of inexpensive refilling of the cartridge.

We use such a printer in our taxi company. Despite the harsh operating conditions, the printer can easily withstand a print load of up to eight thousand pages per month. In order not to spend a lot of money, I use Sakura compatible cartridges instead of original cartridges.

Good quality printer. Nice, compact design. There is a function for connecting to a router via WPS - very convenient for those who do not like extra wires (connected to Wi-Fi without problems). In terms of the quality of work, the HP brand has justified itself.

The compactness is really impressive, you can put it in a regular backpack. Installation on a PC with Win XP without problems. The WIFI connection was also straightforward. You can put the printer in any farthest corner of the apartment where WIFI is available. The connection with a smartphone on Android works through the HP Smart program.

You can talk about the shortcomings after at least six months of use. At first glance, there are no serious flaws.

Setting up wifi turned out to be quite simple. I downloaded the HPEasyStart software for my printer model from the site specified in the instructions. You step by step perform the actions in the installer and he configures everything himself. As soon as the printer is in the home wifi network, you can connect to it from laptops, smartphones (the HP Smart application is very convenient and simple). For home use it is enough.
