The viewing angle of the Marlin S is noticeably larger, but there is also a minus: it is already difficult to discern the license plates of a car going ten to twenty meters in front (even if you zoom in as close as possible, the resolution of the lens does not allow), barrel-shaped aberrations (curvatures at the edges) at the edges are very significant (straight pillars along the edge seem to be round in a third of a circle). 1GP is better with this. Further, if 1GP allowed me to make at least 3 trips with recording on one 32GB card, then on Marlin - 1-1.5 of the same trips at best, even with a bitrate of 12.0 Mbps. In addition, 1GP files were written for 45 minutes. and Marlin only 5! Lots of five-minute files on your flash drive! Archiving trips from a flash drive is very difficult, no disk will be enough! Antiradar. Compare with SHO-ME G-700. Things are no better here. On some radar signals, it responds only 100 meters away. I will see the radar with my eyes ahead. The voice acting is simply disgusting: the most popular message is "object passed." At the same time, what kind of object and when I managed to pass it is not reported. It's just that the object has been passed and nothing else! Apparently, it is assumed that I should not look at the road, but at the Marlin screen, so as not to miss something.The sound itself is bad: for a noisy road, even the maximum volume is insufficient, unlike SHO-ME. Repetitions at low volume are practically inaudible. Marlin often emits some kind of very quiet and indistinct chirping on the radar signal, which you perceive as some kind of car malfunction. Was there really no other sound to pick up? He is generally silent about some radars, and about some he begins to be terribly hysterical, despite the fact that I walk at a much lower speed than the limit. The maps of cameras and other objects are very bad: even in the nearest suburbs, Marlin no longer knows where he is going and does not show anything except speed, even in settlements. He just doesn't know about them!

Advantages: 1. Build quality. 2. An understandable and accessible interface. 3. Signature mode works together with the usual one (the radar component is very pleasing). 4. Made in South Korea! 5. Regular update of camera bases. 6. Quality of filming + modern hardware + support for memory cards with a large volume today.

Disadvantages: 1. Large size (but for a combo, in principle, normal). 2. The resolution for such hardware could also be made Super HD (which I hope is not excluded in the future). 3. The length of the power cord (I would like more to hide the wires and they do not dangle in the cabin).

Disadvantages: There is not enough indication of the permitted speed as a guide. The speed limit is displayed only when the camera / radar passes. Considering that the device has a database of road signs, this is not difficult to do. in the city gets it with a creep :)
