Applications also started noticeably faster. Now it's nice to work with the laptop. So I advise you to buy this ssd for those who want to breathe a second life into their old laptop). Personally, I put ssd instead of hdd, and put hdd in the cd drive bay using optibay (sled for hdd). It turned out to be a great bundle: fast ssd for the system and applications and slow but capacious hdd for storing personal files and multimedia.
