Comment: On the disk used, the established write speed of large files is about 60MB / sec. I decided not to measure the disk speed with special software sponsored by the disk manufacturers, but made my own software, since modern programming languages ​​allow you to make such software in a couple of hours. If you are a programmer, you can make similar software yourself and compare the results. The algorithm is simple - first, the entire disk is clogged with files whose size is chosen randomly from the options 4kb, 8kb, 16kb, 32kb, 64kb, 128kb, 256kb, 512kb. Then a randomly selected 25% of the files are deleted. This is a simulation of easy disk usage. Large files are continuously written to the freed space. When the free space remains 10%, the speed is measured. For this disk, the resulting figure is 60 Megabytes per second. This is the speed that should be expected in the future. I cannot say that the speed is low, because the main operations with the disk are not carried out in large files, but in blocks of about 100kb, and when working with such blocks, this disk is on average 10 times faster than a regular HDD. I can't say that the speed is also low because another SSD I tested was 4 times slower. But I would only rely on the advertised 500 + MB / s when it comes to read operations. I think that the disc can be taken for most everyday tasks, but I see no reason to jump for joy.

Advantages: Speed

Comment: A smart disk, the system boot speed has increased five times! Folders and applications open instantly. Very thin, fits into any gap if there is little space in the case. If you want to clone your old HD disc to a new one, the Samsung website has a handy Samsung Data Migration program. But it needs a Sata-USB adapter to connect ssd to a usb connector (you will have to buy it separately). It's strange, why can't you just plug the ssd into a free sata connector on the motherboard? And further.If the original HD disk is split into several partitions, merge them into one in Acronis, otherwise it will not be cloned (two for tormented, could not understand what was the matter). All in all, I highly recommend it!

Comment: For this price, and I bought it for 9200 - the best option. High write speed, good storage capacity (470GB available), and durability. It makes sense to overpay for the PRO version (which starts at 13k) - there is no point if you are taking a disc for home use. The difference between EVO and PRO is that - 300TB and 600TB, PRO speed is higher and MLC, which is considered the best option for home. BUT, if you do not need super-speeds to force the disc into the tail and mane, take the EVO. 5 year warranty or 300TB of data. I installed the hp pavilion cc509ur in my laptop.

Comment: Taken for 9 tr. Transferred system with HDD WD Green 1.5TB. System loading (Win7x64) and 1C opening accelerated, subjectively, every 5 times. Because on this motherboard the controller is not intel - you need to enable io_levelup in the BIOS. Result - see the 3rd screenshot. On the 4th screen of the GigaByte GA-X79-UD3, i7 motherboard, the situation with SATA3 is also not clear. Connectors in 3 different colors. Perhaps, again, not through the fastest controller connected. Although it is definitely SATA3.

Advantages: After an ordinary hard disk, this is space, fast, quiet and cold while only 3 days in work, I hope it will continue to be the same.

Advantages: I think it makes no sense to list the advantages in comparison with HDD. Therefore, only regarding the comparison with my other SSD: 1. Not a bad native Samsung Magician utility. Normal interface, benchmark. Rapid function. 2. In general, it corresponds to the declared characteristics in terms of write speed.

Disadvantages: 1. Does not meet the declared IOPS characteristics (60,000 instead of 90,000). But I didn't bother with measurements.

Comment: The tests were carried out with the write cache enabled. How long the disk has worked - see the screenshot. Motherboard ASUS MAXIMUS V FORMULA. RAPID did not find any use for itself, it does not subjectively affect the download speed of applications. If used in a server, it is easier to give the DBMS or some other application more RAM.

Advantages: Write / read speed compared to HDD and cheap Kingston A400 SSDs (inserted in 2013 netbook).High endurance (there is an excellent review on 3dnews).

Disadvantages: The price bites, but the SSD is of high quality.
