Advantages: Matrix speed, hdmi 2.0 60Hz input (plus for me personally), hdmi 2.0 wire with ferrite rings included, design, value for money (it cost me 16500 with delivery).
Disadvantages: Absolutely idiotic standby mode, in which the blue diode flashes (without turning off the monitor itself, you cannot get rid of it). Glossy frame (why didn't they make a matte one?). Somewhat poisonous color rendition (you need to do a calibration. I have not figured it out yet).
Comment: The monitor is decent. He works out his money 100%. I did not write about the disadvantages of the TN matrix, because I consider them features. I took it mainly for the PS4 pro console. In our country, it is almost impossible to find information on this matter. It turned out that for the console this is more than a decent option. But for PC (gaming and movies) it is also quite good. The lack of HDR is also not a disadvantage, because in budget 4K TVs of the same company, this is a purely nominal function. Normal HDR support is available only in Sony and Samsung TVs, which cost 5 times more than this monitor. For those who want to take the bottom model for PS4 pro, I will say, take it without hesitation. Full support for the set-top box goes through the hdmi 2 input. Hdmi 1 outputs 4k, but only 30Hz. I hope the review will be useful to someone.

Advantages: Reading reviews about the monitor on the market and foreign resources, there were doubts as to how correct the choice of this 4K monitor would be in 2018. I note that the help in the final decision helped to accept the review https://ru.gecid.com/disply/samsung_u28e590d/?s=all. I don't know why some people complain about the picture and color rendition, but in reality it is good, although depending on preferences, you may have to tinker and adjust for yourself, but this is normal because everyone has their own color perception. 4K resolution is less stressful for the eyes, more pleasant and comfortable even when reading text compared to Full HD. The matrix of this monitor model is TFT TN + viewing angles = adequate and good, especially if taken for PC gaming. at arm's length (if you don't jump like a monkey), there are no drawbacks in the form of image fading. But fans of consoles should think about it and look towards monitors with IPS matrices. Another good plus was the ability to increase the frame refresh rate from the default 60 Hz to 70 Hz. Well, at least I did it on my specific monitor using the Nvidia driver. Although it may be a matter of some luck. I would like to note that with its dimensions the monitor is very light, which was a pleasant surprise.Perhaps "aesthetic gourmets" from the world of monitors will name a dozen other more interesting models, but in the price / quality ratio for 4K - perhaps there is nothing more affordable at the moment. This monitor is budget-friendly and a decent entry into 4K gaming.

Advantages: Resolution Joystick control Rich colors
Disadvantages: Viewing angles (picture unevenness) The stand is flimsy Strange Vesa mounts
Comment: The biggest advantage of this monitor is its resolution. The colors are dense, saturated, but the viewing angles ... (due to TN of course) The case is simple, this is a plus. The stand is flimsy. Very strange location of Vesa mount, almost at the very top of the monitor. With my arm, the monitor is almost on the table). I liked the drawing of details, the invisible pixel. I work at Cad. The scale in windows was set to 200. By inputs: When connected via HDMI, an additional option "HDMI Black Level" appears in the menu, which turned out to be useful. Over time, I got used to the unevenness of the backlight.

Advantages: + 4K - resolution rules. Films, photos, games look very clear! + 28 "is a good size for work. But to watch movies from the couch will need 32+". Unlike 720p or 1080p, for 4K resolution when viewed from a sofa at a distance of 1.5m, the screen diagonal must be at least 32 ", otherwise the eye will not distinguish 4K from a lower resolution. As for 24" 4K monitors, this is nonsense. + there is a game mode in which enemies will not hide in the dark, and the response speed is increased for the campaign - I liked it + there is an eye rest mode that reduces the blue glow (LowBlueLight Filter), brightness and sharpness - I use it in the evening when programming and browsing the Internet, I really liked it + non-flickering backlight (FlickerFree) in all modes + not a single dead pixel + connection cables included + Samsung was able to squeeze the maximum out of the TN-matrix. This is a good TN matrix, in contrast to Deshman manufacturers. The image on it does not look flawed at all, despite the matrix of the previous generation. Because of this, the price is lower than similar 4K 28 "monitors.
Disadvantages: - not an IPS-matrix, so the colors are not as rich as in the store on exhibition samples - Windows is under 8 and programs are not yet ready for 4K resolution, it is very inconvenient. It is impossible to work in old programs: many labels and buttons are not scalable and very small, and those that are scaled look blurry. - lack of a USB hub - for some reason, an audio connector was made and the system tries to output sound to it by default
Comment: I can safely recommend it to you for viewing documents and the Internet, programming, games. Now I have set the resolution to 1920 × 1080, I use 4K in movies and games. I'll wait while the programmers optimize everything for 4K. I bought it as a temporary option, in a year I will buy a 32-inch or more with an IPS-matrix for watching movies from the sofa, and this one I will put as a second monitor for ease of use.

Advantages: Size, price, resolution, build quality, weight, viewing angles, highlights. All liked it!
Disadvantages: No flaws.
Comment: I am extremely happy with this monitor! For a TN matrix, it is simply amazing. Yes, he has flashes (it would be stupid to expect that for 15 thousand they will not be) - BUT !!! Highlights are different. There are VERY uniform highlights and they are around the edges. They are symmetrical. That's when the light spots all over the screen are a problem. Impossible to watch. And when two light stripes on the right and left, which are almost the same, it looks normal. Absolutely not annoying and does not attract attention! For a TN matrix, there are excellent viewing angles. They are certainly not very large vertically, but despite the fact that the monitor is large - sitting in front of it, I do not experience any discomfort. If you stand up, the colors float. But I don't do gymnastics in front of the monitor. I watch a movie from him sitting on the couch 1.5 meters away from the screen and believe or not believe that I am sitting on the right edge of the couch, that on the left one can see everything equally well, nothing leaves the colors. The horizontal corners are pretty good! Black - EXCELLENT (for TN matrix!). Much better than I expected. Yes, this is not * VA, but a good VA costs 25 and more, and everything that is cheaper will surprise you with its highlights, angles and other things. Read the reviews. The only cheap good VA I found was 27. Yes, it's better than this monitor, but I didn't want to spend that much. I don't work with color. In addition to the image itself, the monitor also suits me in everything. It has a VESA mount, I use a desktop bracket and this is an important parameter for me. He has an external power supply - and I find it extremely convenient (plus the monitor is lighter, which means the bracket is cheaper), a convenient menu (everything is clear from the first time where and what), it does not squeak or whistle when idle, it turns off itself, does not blink me in the night with light bulbs. In general, I am VERY, VERY satisfied !! The only thing - check for dead pixels, the first monitor had one dead pixel, I asked for the second - everything is ok. Recommend!

Advantages: The main plus of this monitor is the price. For such a diagonal, resolution and build quality, I could not find better. A very important note: if you had a simple 17-24 "monitor before, where the pixels are visible from afar, you will definitely like this one, you will see the difference at first glance. YOU WILL BE 100% SATISFIED. For this money it is difficult to find something similar Or maybe not. So far. (Attention: this is my personal opinion!) I searched, found something, but settled on u28e590d.
Disadvantages: I don't see any significant shortcomings. Take a look at the price - it's pointless to find fault with this creation. Yes, it sways on the stand if you wiggle too actively on the table with your hands, but is this a minus?)
Comment: I work exclusively on monitors, 24 ", Viewsonic. There are 3 of them and the models are all different, there was something to compare with, but I saw UHD only in stores and I always liked the picture quality. So I decided to take UHD home, at least 27". I chose for a long time, thought about it, maybe it's UHD, take a high-quality FHD and not sweat it. But the thought of UHD never left me. At home there are 2 Samsung TVs, 55 "and 65", they more than suit me ... In terms of build quality and image, design, functionality and software. Samsung has been familiar since childhood - they know how to make displays. So I didn't get too smart and took a budget UHD monitor. I really like the monitor, I don't see any minuses in it, but I see only a high-quality image with good color reproduction - I didn't expect more from it. Spacecraft in another hangar are being assembled. I don’t look at the pixels with a magnifying glass, I don’t look at the side of the monitor, I don’t cut sausage on it, I don’t fly on it on vacation - I read, edit video, play, sometimes watch YouTube. I don't poke the settings back and forth: I set it up once and forgot it. I use the "Eye Rest Mode" - right now it's on, the image is very soft, the eyes are comfortable, for reading and typing just right. (I also set up the time for turning on this mode in Windows itself, because I often read from the monitor in the evenings) There is a sound output to the monitor, but I have never used it. I'm afraid to imagine what kind of speakers there are. HDMI - 30Hz, DP - 60Hz. Works in conjunction with MSI 1080 via DisplayPort - people say: "happy as an elephant!" - That's all I wanted to say. Happy purchases, less marriage!

Advantages: First of all, I will note that I will highlight those positive characteristics that either differ from the characteristics of other monitors, or are, in my opinion, very important in this monitor. Moreover, we will talk only about significant characteristics, without getting into serious, but insignificant ones. So: 1- Assembling a product from military components (MILITARI-IV), which means high reliability and durability of the gadget (2 years warranty). I have a MILITARI-III MSI "mother", one of the few and the first in Russia, for 6 years already, and so far, no glitches or shortcomings in new slots - no. 2- High resolution matrix (4K), and High brightness of the glow - 370cd / m2 (almost like plasma, all other monitors, the brightness is 2 times less ~ 250cd / m2). 3- Response 1ms (for others 8 ÷ 4ms). 4- Adjusting the "Black Level", something that almost all other monitor models do not have. 5- Modern connectors (slots) connection. 6- In the presence of a set of communication cables with "Mama". 7- Flicker-Free option, on a good TFT TN matrix, with WLED backlight and a nice looking design. 8- Low price for these characteristics (Russian assembly). 9- Putting two monitors side by side, the old Full HD (K), and the new (4K), I realized that the money was not wasted ... Brightness and clarity - spoke for themselves ...
Disadvantages: For Lamers. 1. Squeals and squeaks (if anyone has them) are removed by purchasing a power filter (pilot). Also, do not connect "unloaded" cables. For cables, it is better to have anti-interference ferrite rings. 2. Saturation and Color - READ and do in LETTER, and there will be no problems, but you will be happy! 3. There is a tilt: forward - backward. 4. The height of the monitor leg, corresponds to SNIPs and ECO, and for me, an excellent height. 5. "Spotlight" of the Monitor operation indicator? Well, this is already quite wild fantasies! Some sansei write that this monitor is complete junk, and you simply did not see real monitors ... I saw ... I saw a lot, and handed over to the State Commissions TV Hardware, so I can judge about something ...
Comment: The monitor was purchased for mastering 4K video at home. At work, professional monitors, visually, in terms of characteristics, differ little from this product. This speaks not of the poor quality of monitors at work, but of the good quality of our monitor.

Advantages: Price, screen resolution, freesync support, a lot of settings, built-in volume control, eye protection function.
Disadvantages: Due to the TN matrix and the large diagonal of the screen, color distortions are noticeable in the areas of the screen far from the head, but this is not a problem of a separate monitor, this is a design feature of the combination of the TN matrix and the large screen diagonal. (colors are distorted both vertically and horizontally (even with a curved screen, there may be distortions)) This feature should be taken into account when choosing monitors
Comment: I advise you to take this monitor, as there are more advantages

Advantages: contrast, uniformity of brightness across the field, no flare, quality of workmanship and assembly PRICE, OF course
Disadvantages: strong dependence of the color of the picture on the viewing angle is poor - in terms of the degrees of adjustment - stand (only tilt)
Comment: I use it for work. I work in printing, and this is a lot of different programs - for layout, editors of vector (Illustrator) and raster (Photoshop) graphics and drawing works. For any work other than color grading, the monitor is more than good. For work in AutoCAD, it is probably just perfect (since the number of colors for our tasks is limited to three - LOL). If you are engaged in color correction, then the head must, apparently, be clamped in a vice - the slightest vertical shift leads to a noticeable, and sometimes unacceptable change in color. Another point concerns the combination of resolution and matrix size. 3,840 pixels at 28 inches is absurd. When displayed in 100%, the menus become so small that it is completely unrealistic to work with them even with excellent vision (which, with such a strain, will quickly cease to be). You have to set an increase not even 150% recommended by the system, but 200-250%, which automatically reduces (in terms of the volume of what fits on the screen) to the standard 1920, except that the letters or small details are drawn more clearly. With the adjustment of the screen for the person working behind it, everything is completely sad - it changes, and within rather narrow limits, only the tilt. I don’t remember the turn, but the lack of vertical adjustment makes me use some kind of "collective farm" boxes, reams of paper and other items suitable for placing under the stand. However, I am talking about my own rather specific conditions of use. In other cases, I guess. this monitor, especially considering the price, is close to ideal. That is why my assessment of him as a whole is very high, although in some positions he is good if he is a "C".
