Advantages: For a long time I was tormented by a toad and now, on the New Year's holidays, I bought myself this grill. And so it began ... I tried to cook anything, including buns, tortillas, meat, chicken (breast, legs, whole have not yet tried), fish, mussels, shrimp. Buns are not the best idea, cakes are super. The meat is like on coal (fat drips onto the spiral, it burns and this smoke permeates the meat. The breast is juicy, the fish is fine, but I cook on parchment (it sticks a lot to the wire rack, maybe I’m doing it wrong). We don’t fry the meat in the pan anymore. Children really like filet mignons with rosemary (girls). The same thing is categorically refused on the grill pan. After the purchase, I got carried away with cooking, began to actively cook. Cakes are not a problem now, steaks for guests at the time. Buns for burgers only of their own preparation. Grilled vegetables, filet mignon favorite for children and wife. For myself, good ribeye with beer. Standard dinner on Saturday.
Disadvantages: smokes, for a kitchen only with a good hood, or for a balcony. I cook there. The guests are now hard to drive away. They fell in love with steaks, although they used to love rack of lamb on coals. Beef was not perceived as meat for the grill. Apparently because our southern neighbors fried the beef shashlik like soles. Redesigned ventilation in the kitchen.
Comment: A good thing, worthy. Recommend. If you want to eat good meat not in steak houses for crazy money, but at home, then this is definitely for you. It paid off six months after the purchase. Ribeye in miratorg from 300 rubles (when the term ends and three days remain). There are more than three thousand in goodman. Showed an interest in cooking. This, of course, in my opinion, is the hardest legacy of the Soviet Union, not proper cooking.

Advantages: It is no different from a gas grill. Only without gas cylinders. Food turns out to be "smoky" - fat drips onto the heating element, evaporates and gives the dishes the aroma of a real grill. You can add a woody "haze" - put wood chips in foil on the grate.
Disadvantages: 1. At home, only low-fat foods like vegetables can be cooked under the hood. Steaks, burgers, barbecues - only on the balcony, it's very fuming. 2. Warms up for about 20 minutes. 3. Price. But he is worth it, believe me.
Comment: I thought for a long time, choosing between "grill-presses" and this. Gas was not considered in principle, because I do not consider it safe for the apartment. Definitely not regretted, the smell during cooking is just awesome, now we get out "for barbecue" even on weekdays - on the balcony :) Addition: in light of the latest changes in legislation (ban on open fire on balconies, including gas grills), the contactless electric grill remains the only alternative for a real barbecue in an urban setting.
