Advantages:
After plugging in for the first time, ready for use in less than a minute. Simple design for a printer, but nothing else is required of it. The floor of a ream of paper breaks in and the tray closes completely, nothing sticks out and does not collect dust.
Disadvantages:
Huge box in the trunk of the crossover barely fit))
Comment:
Bought for average home use, about 10-50 pages per month, along with all sorts of childish nonsense. I have never regretted that I chose this network model. After turning on the printer, I realized that our children would not get anything from dancing with tambourines on setting up equipment, searching and installing and reinstalling drivers and other devilry inherent in early computer technology. After turning it on, it just appeared in the menu for printing computers and phones of apple production in the home wi-fi network without any passwords and settings and you can already just print. On Mac, it opens through a standard printer window and when you click the "settings" button, it opens a page in the browser (!) With all its technical printing settings, including the email setting to which it will complain about the end of ink)) It is worth not asking for bread, in "deep sleep" mode, if you need to print something, you do not need to turn on the computer or do anything at all except pressing "print" on the phone. I consider it silly to discuss noise and the difference in print speed when using it at home, it completely covers home needs, and the speed is half a second faster for me, not the weather. Just like the noise, this one is never louder than the others, the floor does not shake from it, and at night in the bedroom I was not going to use it.

Advantages:
1) Fast 2) Wi-Fi from any device (ios, android, windows ...) and setup without a USB cable. 3) Double-sided printing 4) Refillable cartridge without a chip 5) The entire stack of paper fits completely into the tray (by eye) 6) Interesting design for all times =) 7) 3 years warranty 8) Buttons are all in Russian
Disadvantages:
1) Screen 2 lowercase (you can't play Tetris) and without backlighting (not romantic) 2) I set up printing from an android phone for a long time (only after installing the software from the play marketa it was decided) 3) I put it on the top shelf, I can't reach the screen and see , what is written there =))) 4) The wife says that this is magic and devilry, that he cannot work without a cable ... = (
Comment:
Many write noisy - do not believe it, find fault. Normal noise level, you can't hear from the next room at all (if you have 2 or more rooms =))

Advantages:
paper tray closed completely - dust free, duplex printing, sleep mode, quick wake up, quick wifi setup, chipless cartridge, 3 years warranty.
Disadvantages:
not found yet, if they appear, I will add to the review
Comment:
just bought this device, I decided to write my impressions, since there are few reviews on this mfp on the market. before that I owned an HP-photosmart c6283 inkjet mfp for years 7. I was terribly worn out with it, I decided for myself to quit with HP technology and inkjet printers. printing a couple of photos a year to hang on the wall is easier and better to carry out in a professional workshop, while avoiding this ink-cartridge hell. now about Brother DCP-L2520DWR. I connected to the home router quickly, if it does not work, see if the wps mode is disabled in the router settings. I had it disabled. after switching on everything connected. Windows 7 on two computers itself could not install drivers for the printer. go to the official website: http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=en&lang=ru&prod=dcpl2520dwr_eu download the full software package for your operating system, install. during installation, specify that the printer is network. everything starts working. the printer prints, the scanner scans. it works quite quietly, goes into sleep mode almost immediately, as soon as it stops typing, nothing buzzes for a long time. to wake up, you need to send something to print or start scanning in any program. awakening is fast, unlike an inkjet printer, which, when turned on, must crawl, rumble and go about its business for a couple of minutes. for now.

Advantages:
Automatic 2-sided printing Wi-Fi connectivity to all networked devices for printing and scanning Print and scan speeds
Disadvantages:
When feeding a single sheet, you need to try very hard so that the sheet goes straight, and not at an angle.
Comment:
This printer replaced the old HP inkjet printer that I struggled with for a long time. The printer showed its best side for half a year of use. The noise level is not such a problem, as they say here, although it may be noisy in comparison with other models. The starter cartridge lasted ~ 500 sheets at 5.57% coverage. The price of non-original consumables fully justifies its purchase for home use, although the price of the printer itself is higher than the devices of other manufacturers.

Advantages:
A resilient printer, supports WSD / IP, the cartridge is refillable, the drum resource is more than the declared 12,000, looks good
Disadvantages:
Lack of Ethernet port.
Comment:
The wsd / ip support is very convenient when changing the ssid network or router. A few words about support. Brother support is very slow to respond to inquiries and clueless. I wrote to them, but they didn't even understand the essence of the matter. Fortunately, I figured it out myself. The printer has no obvious disadvantages. The model is very decent. Whoever has the printer falls out of the network needs to update the firmware on the router and printer, scan the channels and forcibly turn on the most unloaded channel on the router, and then re-add the printer to the network. If the problem persists, try another router, or better yet, try taking the printer to another location and see how it works in another location. Perhaps this is interference.

Advantages:
Easily connects via Wi-Fi Yes duplex printing Not too huge Scans and copies well Easy to install on Mac
Disadvantages:
Until I figured out how to set up copying - sometimes it loses some light details. Once the scanner freezes. The application for android could not be hooked up to it
Comment:
I bought it for home use. I print something every couple of days from different devices For these purposes, it is almost ideal.
12 April 2018, Moscow
Advantages:
Good characteristics and a fairly compact form (due to the absence of an external paper tray), the presence of three devices in one (printer, copier and scanner), a non-chip cartridge (at least as promised), the ability to print on different types of paper (thanks to the option manual feed and direct printing), automatic duplex printing (saves paper). This model does not require a wired connection to a computer. The setup went quickly and without any problems, via wi-fi. There are mobile applications for printing from the phone for all three platforms (Android, Windows Phone, iOS). Some people don't like noise, but I would not say that the device is louder than others.
Disadvantages:
The kit comes with a cartridge with a declared capacity of 700 pages, which is far from the truth. After printing 250 pages, the print brightness and sharpness dropped noticeably, indicating that a new cartridge needs to be ordered. Even the extended cartridge will have a capacity of nearly half that of the 13-year-old HP extended cartridge. The disadvantages include some inflexibility of scanning settings - you cannot cancel the automatic opening of a scanned document in any of the programs.
Comment:
Overall, after a week and a half of use, I am very pleased with the purchase. The "lies" about the capacity of the initial cartridge were known from other reviews, so this was not a big surprise (albeit unpleasant).
August 30, 2016, Samara
Advantages:
Reliable and trouble-free like scrap. Closed paper tray, duplex printing, Wi-Fi connects seamlessly, no network loss. Excellent friends with a smartphone through a proprietary application. The price is more than reasonable.
Disadvantages:
Bulky (for home), poor display would be better if they did not do it at all.
Comment:
In fact, its main advantage is that it is a laser for reasonable money with solid, unbreakable mechanics as in the good old 4L laser jets. For a home, where a printer can stand without work for a month, a laser is the only reasonable choice. Ink dries in the jet. Constantly. Then, in cheap home printers, completely useless mechanics. They chew paper, do not pick up sheets, or pick up several at once. It is expensive to change cartridges, refueling is a chore. They start to smear, they stop working. And the cost of printing is insane as a result. Having worn out with inkjet printers I bought this printer and I am happy as an elephant! Its size is generally compensated by the ability to put it anywhere where there is a socket and the absence of protruding parts.

Advantages:
WiFi support, AirPrint, duplex printing, laser printing, good pixel density (dpi) scanner / copier, print speed.
Disadvantages:
A bit noisy, but this drawback covers its functionality.
Comment:
I chose a laser-type MFP with AirPrint support, since I actively use all kinds of Apple technology, I first looked at a more expensive model, but it turned out to be so expensive that something is generally bad (from 43,000), and then looking at the manufacturer's assortment (about which, by the way, I learned from one of the Wylsacom videos), I saw this model. And here I doubted for a long time: color, but inkjet or laser, but b / w? As a result, the choice fell on laser b / w for many factors: print quality, ink quality, shelf life of ink without use, the ability to print from a scanner and copier of better quality than with an inkjet system. I didn’t regret it! It is worth noting that this is my first MFP, so all its features, from print speed to support for the royal AirPrint function, are just a delight! Convenience of printing / scanning documents and some photos for b / w from any device - the best thing I've ever done with printers! Prints quickly over a wireless connection, pleased, copies quickly, which is also good. The kit included an initial ~ 700 page cartridge, but after 5 months, it still has not been used up with frequent printing of even emails on a full sheet (that is, there are both images and text on one page), but in general I advise you to take original cartridge - fewer problems. But in choosing the cheapest one, Yandex.Market will help you;) After 5 months, I am still ready to recommend the manufacturer and this model. In terms of price / quality ratio - the ideal choice for this class! By the way, the manufacturer also has a mobile application for printing from the device and tracking the status of ink, but to be honest, I don't use their application for printing, since Apple's in-system utilities can be printed without crutches. I did not elaborate on other wireless printing formats, although they are also available. Recommended if you are looking at a laser and wireless MFP in this price range.

Advantages:
Wi-fi, duplex printing, Google Cloud Print
Disadvantages:
did not find
Comment:
Great MFP! I put it at home and connected all computers without a single wire. Fast printing speed. Double-sided printing has proven to be a very useful feature (significantly saves paper and time).
